室温下采用中心波长约970 nm准直输出的大功率激光二极管模块作为抽运源,端面抽运双程吸收的腔型结构,抽运原子数分数为8%的Yb:Y2O3多晶透明陶瓷片获得连续激光输出。抽运阈值功率为7 W,当抽运功率达到35 W时,获得优化连续激光输出功率为10.5 W,光光转换效率为30%,斜率效率为37.5%。激光输出功率随抽运功率基本呈线性增长。采用更高功率抽运源、优化谐振腔结构和减小热效应的影响,Yb∶Y2O3陶瓷激光器的输出功率和效率将会得到进一步提高。  相似文献

通过对Nd:YVO4晶体吸收特性的研究,对激光输出功率、斜效率与抽运动率的关系进行了理论分析,发现Nd:YVO4激光器在磊功率激光二极管抽运的条件下,激光斜效率随抽运功率的增加而减小。实验表明,理论结果与实验符合得较好。选用2Nd^3+掺杂的原子数分数为0.5%、通光长度为5mm的Nd:YVO4晶体,在抽运功率5W左右时,输功率为3W左右的,获得了71.5%的激光斜效率。  相似文献

A ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber laser with more than 50-W output, near diffraction-limited is demonstrated in SIOM. The optical-to-optical efficiency is about 44% with respect to incident pump power and the slope efficiency is 69% against launched pump power.  相似文献

A continuous-wave high-power Nd:YAG laser operating on the 4F3/24I9/2 transition at 946 nm and intracavity frequency-doubled to 473 nm by a KNbO3 nonlinear crystal at room temperature is reported. The Nd:YAG laser outputs a randomly polarized beam of 3.8 W maximum power (38% optical-to-optical efficiency and 44% slope efficiency with respect to the absorbed pump power) at the 946 nm fundamental wavelength. Intracavity frequency-doubling with a 2.0-mm thick KNbO3 crystal in a linear resonator yielded 159-mW single-ended blue-output with 4.8% optical-to-optical conversion efficiency versus the absorbed pump power. The 473-nm maximum power of 418 mW with 11.6% optical-to-optical conversion efficiency in absorbed power was obtained from a V-type resonator; the overall optical-to-optical conversion efficiency was 6.7%, while the conversion of the available infrared power reached 50%.  相似文献

A maximum output power of 20.6 W at 2.825 μm from an erbium-doped all-fiber laser is reported, which we believe is the highest output power for this laser transition in single-mode operation. The slope efficiency of the passively cooled laser was up to 35.4% with respect to the absorbed pump power. Accounting for an estimated round-trip intracavity loss of 1.3 dB, we calculated a theoretical conversion efficiency of 39.5%, which is 15% higher than the Stokes efficiency of 34.3%. We believe this is the first experimental confirmation of the predicted pump energy recycling for this fiber laser. The narrow laser linewidth varied from 0.09 to 0.16 nm from low to maximum output power.  相似文献

We report low pump power high-efficiency frequency doubling of a fundamental laser beam at 795 nm, corresponding to the rubidium D1 line, to generate UV light at 397.5 nm using a periodically poled KTi OPO4(PPKTP) crystal in a ring cavity. We obtain maximum stable output power of 49 m W for mode-matching pump power of 110 m W, corresponding to 45% raw efficiency(56% net efficiency when considering the output coupling mirror’s 80% transmission). This is the highest efficiency obtained at this wavelength in PPKTP with such low pump power. We obtain 80% beam coupling efficiency to single-mode fiber, demonstrating high beam quality.  相似文献

We report on a diode-laser-pumped cw Nd: YAG laser operating at a power level of 150 W. By using a transverse pump geometry, the radiation of 54 diode lasers with an output power of 10 W each is coupled into a Nd:YAG rod. In multimode operation, an optical slope efficiency of 32% and an optical to optical efficiency of 29% are obtained. In TEM00 operation, an output power of more than 30 W is realized with an optical to optical efficiency of 10%.  相似文献

By using a pump recycling configuration, we presented a high efficient diode-pumped Tm:YLF laser with a volume Bragg grating. When the incident pump power was 33.1 W, a maximum output power of 11.1 W at 1907.8 nm with full width at half maximum of 0.6 nm was obtained. The slope efficiency with respect to the incident pump power was 44.8%, and the optical-to-optical efficiency was 33.5%. In addition, the VBG-based Tm:YLF laser was employed as a pumping source of Ho:YAG laser, the maximum output power of 4.7 W with a slope efficiency of 67.0% was obtained, corresponding to Tm-to-Ho conversion efficiency of 51.6%.  相似文献

A diode radially pumped microchip Yb:YAG laser that consists of an Yb-doped core surrounded by undoped YAG of a slab shape is presented. Quasi-continuous-wave pumping of a 10-at. % Yb-doped core of 2 mmx2 mm square shape with pulses of 5-Hz repetition rate and 2.5% duty cycle delivers 66-W output peak power at 220-W input pump power with 0.49 slope efficiency. The best results, 112-W peak power with 0.63 slope efficiency and 0.38 optical-to-optical efficiency, were obtained with a 1.2 mmx1.2 mm square 15-at. % at Yb:YAG core.  相似文献

A frequency doubler for 200 GHz utilising a planar surface channel Schottky varactor was designed, constructed and tested. The doubler employes novel split-waveguide mount design with two sliding backshorts at both input and output waveguides. The theoretical maximum efficiency of the doubler is 44.0 % with input power level of 32 mW and the maximum output power is 16.5 mW with input power level of 50 mW. The measured maximum efficiency of the doubler was 7.1 % and the maximum output power was 2.6 mW  相似文献

A cw Raman laser based on a 100-m photonic crystal fibre is demonstrated with up to 3.8 W output power at the incident pump power of 12 W, corresponding to an optical-to-optical efficiency of about 31.6%.. The second order Stokes light, which is firstly reported in a cw photonic crystal fibre Raman laser, is obtained at 1183nm with an output power of 1.6 W and a slope efficiency of about 45.7%.  相似文献

A high efficiency, high power diode-side-pumped quasi continuous wave (QCW) Nd:YAG ceramic rod laser at 1064 nm based on the domestic transparent ceramic is reported. The average output power of 961 W is achieved with double ceramic rods by means of a symmetrical convex-convex cavity. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is 38.3% and the slope efficiency is 45.3%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest level of efficiency achieved for the domestic Nd:YAG ceramic rod laser.  相似文献

Highly efficient 1-microm continuous-wave laser emission in 3-mm-thick, 0.5- and 1.0-at. % Nd:GdVO4 crystals longitudinally pumped at 879 nm into the laser emitting level is reported. Under Ti:sapphire pumping, the slope efficiency in absorbed power is approximately 80% for both crystals, while the slope efficiency, the optical-to-optical efficiency (at 1700-mW pump power), and the laser threshold in incident power are 79%, 78%, and 31 mW for 0.5-at. % Nd and 80%, 77%, and 40 mW for 1.0-at. % Nd, respectively. The slope efficiency is close to the quantum defect limit, the difference being fully accounted for by the residual optical losses. Under 879-nm diode laser pumping, the slope efficiency and the optical-to-optical efficiency in absorbed power of the 0.5-at. % Nd:GdVO4 crystal are 60% and 53%, owing to poorer superposition of the pumped and the laser mode volumes.  相似文献

We present a highly-efficient continuous-wave Ho:SSO laser pumped by a diode-pumped Tm:YAP laser with a narrow linewidth (NL) of 0.3 nm. With the free-running (FR) Tm:YAP laser, we obtain a maximum output power of 2.23 W at an absorption pump power of 7.2 W, corresponding to an optical conversion efficiency of 31% and a slope efficiency of 42.6%. With the NL Tm:YAP laser, we obtain a maximum output power of 2.88 W at the same absorption pump power. The optical conversion efficiency increases to 40% when the slope efficiency increases to 55.5%. The output linewidth of the Ho:SSO laser is 0.8 nm when we use the Tm:YAP laser with a narrow linewidth of 1.8 nm pumped by a FR Tm:YAP laser. The beam quality also changes from 1.31 to 1.22.  相似文献

A high-efficiency continuous-wave Tm:YAG laser end-diode pumped at room temperature is presented in this letter. The highest output power reaches 6.37 W when the incident pump power is 18.9 W. The optical conversion efficiency is 33.7% and the slope efficiency is 42.8%. The wavelength of the output laser is shifted to the short wavelength with an increase in the transmission of the output couplers. At a fixed cavity length, the composite Tm:YAG shows its dominance for its higher efficiency and higher quantum efficiency compared with the noncomposite Tm:YAG.  相似文献

以弱色散特性的扇形金属-介质夹持杆螺旋线慢波结构的Ka波段行波管作为研究对象,进行了互作用特性仿真研究。采用螺距跳变和磁场跳变技术进一步提高了该行波管在工作频带的输出功率和电子效率,并解决了电子注散焦问题。设计结果表明:当工作电压为9 kV、工作电流为210 mA时,行波管在24~40 GHz整个频带内,各频点的增益在37.7~48.7 dB之间,电子效率在15.18%~19.42%之间,输出功率大于286 W。此结果较之均匀周期的设计结果,电子效率增幅在4.19%以上,输出功率增长率在4.3%以上,尤其在26~37 GHz范围内,电子效率增幅达到了11.8%以上,输出功率增长率达11.9%。  相似文献

A highly efficient fiber-optic parametric amplifier (FOPA) is presented. A nearly complete pump depletion of 99.92% in a single-pumped FOPA is experimentally demonstrated with a pump power of 1W. In addition, a high signal output power of 0.53W is presented, corresponding to a power conversion efficiency of 53%, which is believed to be the highest efficiency ever reported for an FOPA.  相似文献
