We study the properties of finite groups in which every Sylow subgroup can be connected to the group by a chain of subgroups of prime indices. We establish the solubility of this type of groups. We prove that the class of all finite groups with this property of Sylow subgroups is a saturated hereditary formation. For these groups we find some analogs of the available theorems on the products of normal supersoluble subgroups.  相似文献

有限群G的一个子群称为在G中是π-拟正规的若它与G的每一个Sylow-子群是交换的.G的一个子群H称为在G中是c-可补的若存在G的子群N使得G=HN且H∩N≤HG=CoreG(H).本文证明了:设F是一个包含超可解群系u的饱和群系,G有一个正规子群H使得G/H∈F.则G∈F若下列之一成立:(1)H的每个Sylow子群的所有极大子群在G中或者是π-拟正规的或者是c-可补的;(2)F*(H)的每个Sylow子群的所有极大子群在G中或者是π-拟正规的或者是c-可补的,其中F*(H)是H的广义Fitting子群.此结论统一了一些最近的结果.  相似文献

O. Kegel, in 1962, introduced the concept of p-subnormal subgroups of a finite group as the subgroups whose intersections with all Sylow p-subgroups of the group are Sylow p-subgroups of the subgroup. The set of p-subnormal subgroup of a finite group is not a lattice in general. In this paper, the class of all finite groups in which all p-subnormal subgroups from a lattice is determined. This is the class of all finite p-soluble groups whose p-length and p′-length, both, are less or equal to 1. The join-semilattice case and the meet-semilattice case are analyzed separately. A finite group G is called a generalized PST-group if every subgroup contained in F(G) permutes all Sylow subgroups of G, where F(G) is the Fitting subgroup of G. The class of generalized PST-groups is not subgroup and quotient group closed, and it properly contains the class of PST-groups. In this paper, the structure of generalized PST-groups is first investigated. Then, with its help, groups whose every subgroup (or every quotient group) is a generalized PST-group are deter- mined, and it is shown that such groups are precisely PST-groups. As applications, T-groups and PT-groups are characterized.  相似文献

Groups with complemented subgroups, which are also called completely factorizable groups, were studied by P. Hall, S. N. Chernikov, and N. V. Chernikova (Baeva). For complete factorizability, it is sufficient (Theorem 1) that each proper subgroup have a normal complement in some larger subgroup. A group is said to be weakly factorizable if each of its proper subgroups is complemented in some larger subgroup; the problem of describing finite groups with this property is posed (Question 8.31) in the Kourovka Notebook. Some properties of these groups are considered. The question is studied for Sylow p-subgroups of Chevalley-type groups of characteristic p. The main theorem, Theorem 2, establishes the weak factorizability of the Sylow p-subgroups in the symmetric and alternative groups and in the classical linear groups over fields of characteristic p> 0, excluding the unitary groups of odd dimension > p.  相似文献

Suppose that F is a formation of finite groups. We introduce the concept of F h -supplemented subgroups and investigate the structure of finite groups on assuming that some maximal subgroups of Sylow subgroups, maximal subgroups, minimal subgroups, and 2-maximal subgroup are F h -supplemented, respectively. We study groups G that satisfy the following conditions: (i) G is a finite solvable group with nonprimary metacyclic second subgroup and (ii) all Sylow subgroups of the group G are elementary Abelian subgroups. Every abelian group of even order with a noncyclic Sylow 2‐subgroup is known to be R‐sequenceable except possibly when the Sylow 2‐subgroup has order 8. We construct an R‐sequencing for many groups with elementary abelian Sylow 2‐subgroups of order 8 and use this to show that all such groups of order other than 8 also have terraces. This completes the proof of Bailey's Conjecture in the abelian case: all abelian groups other than the noncyclic elementary abelian 2‐groups have terraces. For odd orders it is known that abelian groups are R‐sequenceable except possibly those with noncyclic Sylow 3‐subgroups. We show how the theory of narcissistic terraces can be exploited to find R‐sequencings for many such groups, including infinitely many groups with each possible of Sylow 3‐subgroup type of exponent at most 312 and all groups whose Sylow 3‐subgroups are of the form or .  相似文献

The author continues the investigation of intersections of Hall subgroups in finite groups. Previously, the author proved that in the case when a Hall subgroup is Sylow there are three subgroups conjugate to it such that their intersection coincides with the maximal normal primary subgroup. A similar assertion holds for Hall subgroups in solvable groups. The aim of this paper is to construct examples of a (nonsolvable) group in which the intersection of any four subgroups conjugate to some Hall subgroup is nontrivial.  相似文献

In this article we show that a finite soluble group possesses nilpotent Hall subgroups for well-defined sets of primes if and only if its Sylow normalizers satisfy the same property. In fact, this property of groups provides a characterization of the subgroup-closed saturated formations, whose elements are characterized by the Sylow normalizers belonging to the class, in the universe of all finite soluble groups.  相似文献

A Schmidt group is a finite nonnilpotent group in which every proper subgroup is nilpotent. Sufficient conditions are established for the p-solvability of a finite group in which a Sylow p-subgroup is permutable with some Schmidt subgroups. A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be complemented in G if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G=HK and HK=1. In this paper, it is proved that a finite group G is p-nilpotent provided p is the smallest prime number dividing the order of G and every minimal subgroup of the p-focal subgroup of G is complemented in NG(P), where P is a Sylow p-subgroup of G. As some applications, some interesting results related with complemented minimal subgroups of focal subgroups are obtained.  相似文献
