We have studied the structural and magnetic properties of an antiferromagnetically (AF) coupled Fe/Cr superlattice by means of soft x-ray resonant magnetic scattering. Strong and purely magnetic Bragg peaks are observed at the half-order positions in reciprocal space parallel to the [001] growth direction and in between the structural Bragg reflections from the superlattice periodicity. The magnetic hysteresis loops measured at the first-order and at the half-order Bragg peaks clearly demonstrate the strong AF coupling of the Fe/Cr multilayer. Transverse scans and off-specular reflectivity measurements confirm an AF domain structure of the superlattice in remanence with large perpendicular correlation. In addition, the transverse scan of the half-order Bragg peak exhibits a Lorentzian line shape at zero field, which diminishes in higher fields, indicative of a remanent multidomain state approaching a single-domain state towards saturation.  相似文献

Phase-shifted Bragg grating waveguides (PSBGWs) were formed in bulk fused silica glass by femtosecond laser direct writing to produce narrowband (22±3) pm filters at 1550 nm. Tunable π and other phase shifts generated narrow passbands in controlled positions of the Bragg stopband, while the accurate placement of multiple cascaded phase-shift regions yielded a rectangular-shaped bandpass filter. A waveguide birefringence of (7.5±0.3)×10(-5) is inferred from the polarization-induced spectral shifting of the PSBGW narrowband filters.  相似文献

High-quality annular colloidal multilayer films coated on an optical fiber were fabricated from aqueous solutions by the modified vertical deposition method with controllable pressure and temperature. The resulting cylindrical annulus was characterized by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the SEM images illustrated the [111]-like plane of face-centered-cubic (fcc) structures parallel to the surface of the optical fiber. Transmission spectra demonstrated deep photonic band gap (PBG) of up to 76% and steep photonic band edge (PBE) of up to 5.2%/nm, as well as the excellent cylindrical symmetry was affirmed with off-axis incidence light. With the angles of out-of-plane incidence increasing from 0 to 60°, the peak positions and transmittance decreased gradually which agreed well with the Bragg formula.  相似文献

基于光在多层介质中的传输理论,对ZnS/ZnSe周期迭层介质结构中光的反射特性作了分析和计算,由得到的Bragg反射率与光波长的关系曲线,发现当ZnS/ZnSe的折射率改变时,其Bragg反射率曲线将发生平移,平移的方向与Δn为“正”或“负”有关.据此,提出了利用ZnS/ZnSe的光学非线性特性,可能研制出光控“开关”或“光逻辑门”,用于光计算和光互连.  相似文献

We demonstrate that neutron holography permits us to extend the determination of atomic positions beyond nearest neighbors at least up to the fourth neighboring shell around cadmium probe atoms alloyed into a lead crystal. The accuracy achieved is sufficient to allow quantitative determination of displacements of atoms due to elastic distortions induced by impurity atoms. The atomic positions derived from the holographic data are in good agreement with those expected theoretically due to Friedel oscillations in this system. In addition, the atomic positions are in qualitative agreement with results obtained in an independent experiment studying the diffuse distortion scattering around Bragg peaks.  相似文献

New satellites were observed in a single crystal of pure chromium below the Néel point by X-ray diffraction at the positions apart by 2δ from the Bragg points. The observed anisotropy of the satellite intensity around the Bragg point and the temperature dependence of 2δ yield the conclusion that the lattice spacing in the direction of the wave vector of the spin density wave are modulated periodically and that the period is a half of that of the SDW. The experimental results coincide with the prediction made by a theory of the exchange striction in transition metal alloys.  相似文献

The photon properties of two-dimensional periodic structures formed by infinite homogeneous dielectric cylinders packed in a square lattice have been investigated theoretically. Depending on the dielectric contrast between the cylinders and the surrounding medium, the photonic band structure, transmission spectra of crystals with a finite number of layers, and spectra of Mie scattering by an isolated cylinder have been calculated. The calculations have been performed for the TE polarization. The transformation of photonic stop-bands corresponding to Bragg and Mie resonances has been analyzed using the obtained data. The main effect consists in “castling” energy positions of the Bragg stop-bands and Mie stop-bands. For low-contrast photonic crystals, the low-frequency region of the energy spectrum is determined by Bragg stop-bands, and Mie stop-bands are located higher in energy. With an increase in the dielectric contrast, the energy of Mie stop-bands decreases, and they intersect the region of Bragg stop-bands weakly varying in the TE polarization and form the low-energy region of the spectrum.  相似文献

This paper reports on a comprehensive study of optical transmissivity spectra of synthetic opals as a function of the four major parameters of the observed photonic stop bands, namely, light beam orientation relative to the opal fcc lattice, light polarization, opal-filler dielectric permittivity contrast, and sample thickness. The measurements were performed under low opal-filler dielectric contrast conditions for the principal high-symmetry directions of the twinned fcc lattice of the opals. The experimentally determined dependence of the energy positions of photonic stop bands on the direction of the light wave vector is fitted well by the calculated dispersion relation of Bragg wavelengths in diffraction of light from the (hkl) fcc plane system.  相似文献

采用平均反转率模型分析了带光纤布喇格光栅的增益平坦掺铒光纤放大器,其输出增益可由一组耦合超越方程描述,而非耦合微分方程,同时讨论了用于增益平坦的布喇格光栅的最佳位置设计作为增益建模和最佳设计实例,对于输入功率0.5mW位于1545~1552nm的8个波长信道,得到的输出增益不平坦度小于0.05dB.最后还证实了布喇格光栅作为增益均衡器具有高输出功率和功率转换效率的优越性.  相似文献

A fiber Bragg grating bandpass filter with tailored refractive-index modulation is investigated. The writing method includes a position weighting technique, which provides flexible and accurate control of the index modulation along the fiber. This weighting is accomplished by adjusting the positions of a large number of overlapping subgratings to control the local grating strength. A 10-cm grating with a truncated sin(x)/x refractive-index modulation function was written and characterized with this method, showing good agreement with simulations. These types of filter are well suited for wavelength-division-multiplexing applications and can be made to have steep edges, low sidelobes, large bandwidth, and low stopband ripple.  相似文献

The structural state of GaN epitaxial layers grown on r-plane sapphire through metal-organic vapor phase epitaxy has been investigated using X-ray diffraction. The interplanar spacings in two directions in the (11$ \bar 2 $ \bar 2 0) plane of the interface and in the direction perpendicular to it, as well as the diffraction peaks in the ϑ and ϑ-2ϑ scan modes in the Bragg and Laue geometries, are measured on double- and triple-crystal diffractometers. The intensity distribution maps for asymmetric Bragg reflections are constructed for two azimuthal positions of the sample. An analysis of the data obtained has demonstrated that the elastic strain is anisotropic and that the X-ray diffraction pattern parallel to the interface plane is broadened. The layers are contracted in the [1$ \bar 1 $ \bar 1 00] direction and unstrained in the [0001] direction. The broadening of the Bragg reflections in the [1$ \bar 1 $ \bar 1 00] direction is considerably larger than that in the [0001] direction. It is shown using the Williamson-Hall plots for the Bragg and Laue reflections that these broadenings are not related to different degrees of mosaicity but are determined by the local dilatations and misorientations around defects. The data obtained are analyzed, and the conclusions regarding the dislocation structure of the samples are drawn.  相似文献

在矩形光栅上镀制软X射线多层膜,得到多层膜光栅组合式结构。报道用CuKα线小角度对多层膜光栅的衍射特性研究结果。用X射线运动学理论进行了理论分析,得到两个衍射条件,分别对应于决定衍射角的光栅方程和决定多层膜峰值的布拉格定理,发现光栅级效率受多层膜反射调制。对镜面反射扫描、样品扫描、探测器扫描不同情况下各衍射峰峰位和强度的实验值和理论进行了比较,两者符合得很好。  相似文献

为解决干涉型光纤应变传感器自由光谱范围较小或干涉条纹精细度较低等问题,提出了一种基于单拉锥光纤布拉格光栅的法布里-珀罗腔的应变传感结构及其改进方案。利用啁啾光纤布拉格光栅不同位置反射不同波长的特性,形成腔长随波长连续变化的法布里-珀罗腔,得到了无穷大的自由光谱范围且谐振谷精细度高。数值计算结果表明,应变传感灵敏度与拉锥光纤的腰区直径和栅区长度正相关。在0~300 με范围内,当腰区直径为光纤直径的3/25,栅区长度为30 mm时,应变传感灵敏度为7.05 pm/με。该结果对其他干涉型传感结构的设计具有一定的参考价值。  相似文献

Results are presented on the efficient spectral manipulation of uniform and chirped Bragg reflectors inscribed in microstructured optical fibers utilizing short lengths of ferrofluids infiltrated in their capillaries. The infiltrated ferrofluidic defects can generate either parasitic reflection notch features in uniform Bragg reflectors of up to 80% visibility and ~0.1 nm spectral shift or tunability of the bandwidth and strength reflection up to 100% when introduced into chirped gratings. Spectra are presented for different spatial positions and optical characteristics of the ferrofluidic section.  相似文献

Nanostructured metal surfaces comprised of periodically arranged spherical voids are grown by electrochemical deposition through a self-assembled template. Detailed measurements of the angle- and orientation-dependent reflectivity reveal the spectral dispersion, from which we identify the presence of both delocalized Bragg and localized Mie plasmons. These couple strongly producing bonding and antibonding mixed plasmons with anomalous dispersion properties. Appropriate plasmon engineering of the void morphology selects the plasmon spatial and spectral positions, allowing these plasmonic crystal films to be optimized for a wide range of sensing applications.  相似文献

体光栅光谱合成技术是获得高功率激光输出的一种有效途径,体光栅衍射旁瓣是影响合成光束数目的主要因素。采用了Hamming切趾技术对体光栅旁瓣进行抑制,建立了Hamming切趾体光栅的折射率分布模型,分析了Hamming切趾体光栅的衍射特性,给出了Hamming切趾体光栅光谱合成效率公式,分析了切趾光栅对光谱合成效率的影响。计算结果表明:体光栅切趾后有效减小了体光栅对相邻合成光束的衍射损耗,切趾后,在20 nm的带宽内,谱合成光束的数目由13束增加为20束,谱合成效率达75.3%,光谱合成功率提高为切趾前的1.5倍。  相似文献

本文利用光纤光栅形成外腔反馈,得到量子阱半导体激光二极管单模超短光脉冲.其光谱线宽约为0.4nm,脉冲宽度约为60ps.并利用调谐装置,改变光纤光栅的反射波长,得到不同波长的超短光脉冲,其波长可长期稳定.  相似文献

We have derived analytic expressions for the deflection as well as transmitted fraction of monochromatic neutrons forward diffracted by a single crystal prism. In the vicinity of a Bragg reflection, the neutron deflection deviates sharply from that for an amorphous prism, exhibiting three orders of magnitude greater sensitivity to the incidence angle. We have measured the variation of neutron deflection and transmission across a Bragg reflection, for several single crystal prisms. The results agree well with theory.   相似文献

The damaged produced by proton beam slowed down in CR-39 polymer results in highest degree of disorder with change of free volume proprieties. Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) is nowadays well recognized as powerful tool of microstructure investigations. PALS is used in order to get more information at an atomic scale of modifications induced by irradiation of polymers particularly the variation of free volume in the irradiated region. In this paper, the mean free volume hole radii and average free volume of the micro-voids in CR-39 polymer irradiated with 200 MeV therapy proton beam at different positions in spread out Bragg Peak region (SOBP) at Ithemba proton therapy facility have been determined using PALS. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd.
