Commutants of Analytic Toeplitz Operators on the Harmonic Bergman Space

We study the commuting problem for Toeplitz operators on the harmonic Bergman space of the unit disk. We show that an analytic Toeplitz operator and a co-analytic Toeplitz operator with certain noncyclicity hypothesis can commute only when one of their symbols is constant. We also obtain analogous results for semi-commutants.

Toeplitz operators on the polydisk

In this paper it is shown that two analytic Toeplitz operators essentially doubly commute if and only if they doubly commute on the Bergman space of the polydisk.

     

Commuting Dual Toeplitz Operators on the Polydisk

On the polydisk, the commutativity of dual Toeplitz operators is studied. We obtain characterizations of commuting dual Toeplitz operators, essentially commuting dual Toeplitz operators and essentially semi-commuting dual Toeplitz operators.     

Bicommutants of Toeplitz operators

In this paper we discuss an unusual phenomenon in the context of Toeplitz operators in the Bergman space on the unit disc: If two Toeplitz operators commute with a quasihomogeneous Toeplitz operator, then they commute with each other. In the Bourbaki terminology, this result can be stated as follows: The commutant of a quasihomogeneous Toeplitz operator is equal to its bicommutant. Received: 11 March 2008

When do Toeplitz and Hankel operators commute?

We completely classify all Toeplitz and Hankel operators which commute; namely, we prove that that a non-trivial Hankel operator and a non-trivial Toeplitz operator commute if and only if the Hankel operator has symbolz, where is the symbol of the Toeplitz operator, and is an affine function of the characteristic function of certain anti-symmetric sets of the unit circle.

Toeplitz Operators on the Dirichlet Space

In this paper a decomposition of Sobolev space is obtained. Then we prove that a Toeplitz operator on the Dirichlet space is compact only when it is the zero operator. For two Toeplitz operators on the Dirichlet space, we obtain the conditions for that they commute, their product is a Toeplitz operator, and their commutator or semi-commutator has finite rank, respectively.     

Operators on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space

In this paper we prove that a dual Hankel operator is zero if and only if its symbol is orthogonal to the Dirichlet space in the Sobolev space, and characterize the symbols for (semi-)commuting dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space in Sobolev space.
