The purpose of this paper is to define a new class polynomials. Special cases of these polynomials give many famous family of the Bernstein type polynomials and beta polynomials. We also construct generating functions for these polynomials. We investigate some fundamental properties of these functions and polynomials. Using functional equations and generating functions, we derive various identities related to theses polynomials. We also construct interpolation function that interpolates these polynomials at negative integers. Finally, we give a matrix representations of these polynomials. The aim of this article is to define some new families of the special numbers. These numbers provide some further motivation for computation of combinatorial sums involving binomial coefficients and the Euler kind numbers of negative order. We can show that these numbers are related to the well‐known numbers and polynomials such as the Stirling numbers of the second kind and the central factorial numbers, the array polynomials, the rook numbers and polynomials, the Bernstein basis functions and others. In order to derive our new identities and relations for these numbers, we use a technique including the generating functions and functional equations. Finally, we give not only a computational algorithm for these numbers but also some numerical values of these numbers and the Euler numbers of negative order with tables. We give some sufficient conditions for the nonnegativity of immanants of square submatrices of Catalan-Stieltjes matrices and their corresponding Hankel matrices. To obtain these sufficient conditions, we construct new planar networks with a recursive nature for Catalan-Stieltjes matrices. As applications, we provide a unified way to produce inequalities for many combinatorial polynomials, such as the Eulerian polynomials, Schröder polynomials, and Narayana polynomials.  相似文献

Optimal stability polynomials are polynomials whose stability region is as large as possible in a certain region, here the negative real axis. We are interested in such polynomials which in addition, obey a certain order condition. An important application of these polynomials is the construction of stabilized explicit Runge-Kutta methods. In this paper we will give some properties of the roots of these polynomials, and prove that their error constant is always positive. Furthermore, for a given order, the error constant decreases as the degree increases.  相似文献

The main object of this paper is to construct a systematic investigation of a multivariable extension of the extended Jacobi polynomials and give some relations for these polynomials. We derive various families of multilinear and multilateral generating functions. We also obtain relations between the polynomials extended Jacobi polynomials and some other well-known polynomials. Other miscellaneous properties of these general families of multivariable polynomials are also discussed. Furthermore, some special cases of the results are presented in this study.  相似文献

In this paper, we give some new relations between two families of polynomials defined by three-term recurrence relations. These relations allow us to study how some properties of a family of orthogonal polynomials are affected when the coefficients of the recurrence relation are perturbed. In the literature some methods are already available. However, most of them are only effective for small perturbations. In order to show the sharpness of our method, we compare it with Gronwall's classical method in the case of large perturbations. Using our tool, we also give a relation between the differential equation satisfied by a family of orthogonal polynomials and its perturbed family. Some explicit results are obtained for Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind.  相似文献

We investigate two extremal problems for polynomials giving upper bounds for spherical codes and for polynomials giving lower bounds for spherical designs, respectively. We consider two basic properties of the solutions of these problems. Namely, we estimate from below the number of double zeros and find zero Gegenbauer coefficients of extremal polynomials. Our results allow us to search effectively for such solutions using a computer. The best polynomials we have obtained give substantial improvements in some cases on the previously known bounds for spherical codes and designs. Some examples are given in Section 6. We extend some results about shifted Schur functions to the general context of shifted Macdonald polynomials. We strengthen some theorems of F. Knop and S. Sahi and give two explicit formulas for these polynomials: a q-integral representation and a combinatorial formula. Our main tool is a q-integral representation for ordinary Macdonald polynomial. We also discuss duality for shifted Macdonald polynomials and Jack degeneration of these polynomials.  相似文献

In this paper, we give new families of polynomials orthogonal with respect to a d-dimensional vector of linear functionals, d being a positive integer number, and generalizing the standard symmetric classical polynomials: Hermite and Gegenbauer. We state the inversion formula which is used to express the corresponding moments by means of integral representations involving the Meijer G-function. In this paper, we give some properties of the zeros of d-symmetric d-orthogonal polynomials and we localize these zeros on (d+1) rays emanating from the origin. We apply the obtained results to some known polynomials. In particular, we partially solve the conjecture about the zeros of the Humbert polynomials stated by Milovanovi? and Dordevi? [G.V. In this paper we give some necessary and sufficient conditions for Dembowski–Ostrom polynomials to be planar. These conditions give a simple explanation of the Coulter–Matthews and Ding–Yin commutative semifields and enable us to obtain permutation polynomials from some of the Zha–Kyureghyan–Wang commutative semifields. We then give a generalization of Feng’s construction of Paley type group schemes in extra-special p-groups of exponent p and construct a family of Paley type group schemes in what we call the flag groups of finite fields. We also determine the strong multiplier groups of these group schemes. In the last section of this paper, we give a straightforward generalization of the twin prime power construction of difference sets to a construction of Hadamard designs from twin Paley type association schemes.  相似文献

In the present paper we introduce some expansions which use the falling factorials for the Euler Gamma function and the Riemann Zeta function. In the proofs we use the Faá di Bruno formula, Bell polynomials, potential polynomials, Mittag-Leffler polynomials, derivative polynomials and special numbers (Eulerian numbers and Stirling numbers of both kinds). In this article, we first give some basic properties of generalized Hermite polynomials associated with parabolic cylinder functions. We next use Weisner? group theoretic method and operational rules method to establish new generating functions for these generalized Hermite polynomials. The operational methods we use allow us to obtain unilateral, bilinear and bilateral generating functions by using the same procedure. In this paper, we introduce the notion of Jacobi polynomials of a code with multiple reference vectors, and give the MacWilliams type identity for it. Moreover, we derive a formula to obtain the Jacobi polynomials using the Aronhold polarization operator.
