复合腔CuBr激光器中的模式研究   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
本文报道了在两种结构的多镜复合腔中CuBr激光器的纵模淬灭现象,并得到了重复频率几倍于基频纵模间隔的多重锁模脉冲串,最高重复频率可达440MHz.实验结果表明,通过调整复合腔的结构参数,可以在不缩短增益介质长度的条件下,实现CuBr激光多重锁模脉冲高重复频率的大范围调节.  相似文献

利用氧化石墨烯作为可饱和吸收体,在被动锁模全正常色散掺镱光纤激光器中研究了多脉冲的现象,在同一抽运功率不同偏振态下,实验获得了矩形脉冲谐波锁模、耗散孤子谐波锁模、准谐波锁模,脉冲峰值周期性调制,脉冲簇、脉冲束、混沌多重脉冲的多脉冲现象,插入激光腔内的2nm窄带滤波器具有限制增益带宽、对脉冲塑形、诱导多脉冲产生的作用,调节偏振控制器相当于改变腔内增益,是实现不同类型多脉冲现象的主要原因,本实验研究有利于加深对多脉冲动力学行为在正常色散区域氧化石墨烯锁模掺镱光纤激光器中的理解。  相似文献

为了产生频差可调谐1 064nm双频激光输出,设计了一种扭转模结构双腔双频Nd∶YAG激光器,其两个驻波谐振腔共用相同的Nd∶YAG增益介质,以扭转模结构消弱增益空间烧孔效应,使Nd∶YAG激光器的两个驻波腔均以单纵模振荡,从而获得正交线偏振1 064nm双频激光输出.理论分析了扭转模结构激光单纵模选择原理和双频激光同时振荡原理,实验研究了双频激光振荡特性和频差调谐特性.研究结果表明:双频Nd∶YAG激光器的两个谐振腔能够同时以线偏振单纵模稳定振荡输出,其频差大小可随激光腔长的改变而调谐,频差调谐范围可达1个纵模间隔,实验观察到的频差调谐范围为0.3GHz~3GHz.  相似文献

激光二极管抽运Cr4+:Nd3+:YAG自锁模自调Q激光器   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
采用光纤耦合半导体激光抽运,实现了Cr4+:Nd3+:YAG自锁模自调Q激光器1.06üm激光输出.当抽运功率超过阈值2.83 W时,激光器便运转在调Q锁模状态,其锁模调制深度达到80%以上.当抽运功率最大为5.72 W时,平均输出功率为233 mW,相应调Q包络的单脉冲能量为16.5üJ,调Q包络的脉冲宽度大约为120 ns.调Q包络中锁模脉冲之间的间隔为2.8 ns,这与光子在谐振腔内的往返时间相一致,对应的重复率为357 MHz,锁模脉冲宽度估计为560 ps.利用双曲正割函数,考虑腔内光子数密度的空间高斯分布、增益介质的受激辐射寿命和饱和吸收体的激发态寿命对激光特性的影响,建立了描述Cr4+:Nd3+:YAG晶体自调Q自锁模动力学过程的速率方程组.数值求解该方程组,与实验结果符合较好.  相似文献

采用自再现理论,对一种包含两个半导体光放大器的锁模光纤环形激光器进行了数值研究.研究结果表明:为了提高谐波锁模输出脉冲的质量,调制半导体光放大器应当保持高直流偏置,对自发辐射信号进行调制并提供锁模脉冲克服腔损耗所需的增益,而此时的增益半导体光放大器则被低直流偏置充当增益补偿器维持较窄的净增益窗口;与之相反,为了获得振幅均衡的有理数谐波锁模输出脉冲,调制半导体光放大器则应当偏置在较低的电流上,而增益半导体光放大器应当保持较高的偏置电流以提供足够的常量增益克服腔损耗.此外,还必须提高注入光信号的峰值功率.  相似文献

利用谐振腔的往返矩阵理论以及谐振腔的稳定性条件研究了锁模激光器的稳定区与激光腔内光功率的关系,从而得出在高脉冲功率下自缩短效应对Kerr被动锁模飞秒激光器的稳定区的影响.利用激光谐振腔的此性质可以对Kerr被动锁模激光器的谐振腔的设计进行优化,从而提高其锁模的可实现性以及谐振腔的稳定性.  相似文献

为了判定被测激光的模式特征,基于激光的频率特性,提出了一种测量激光陀螺谐振腔横模特征的方法.利用F-P扫描干涉仪,可以实时在线测量激光模式分布特性,该方法以已知F-P扫描干涉仪的频率间隔和扫频速度为比例尺,将难以测量的横模频率间隔转化为易于测量的时间间隔,通过测量从扫描干涉仪给出的谱图,计算出不同横模的频率间隔与纵模间隔的比例系数,并与该陀螺的理论比例系数进行比较,从而实现对激光陀螺谐振腔横模特征的精确判定.通过对某型环形激光谐振腔的测量实验,得到了该陀螺模式特征随着工作电流大小变化的规律:随着放电电流的增加,激光陀螺腔内所振荡的横模由单一的基模逐渐转变为基模和高阶模的混合模,并准确地判定出该谐振腔横模特征,其测量结果与理论结果误差小于2%.利用该方法横模频率间隔测量准确度可达1 MHz,重复性可达0.4 MHz.  相似文献

本文对一种自由电子激光中的锁模问题进行了解析研究,给出了自由电子激光中的锁模条件;得到了由于模的耦合,腔内激活的模数将减少m_c倍,低增益将增加m_c倍,指数增长速率将增加m_c~(1/3)倍。m_c是电子微脉冲重复频率Δv_r与腔内模的间隔Δv_c的比值,m_c=Δv_r/Δv_c。  相似文献

采用脉冲泵浦方案,研制出了基于增益调制技术的全光纤结构高重频脉冲激光器。采用电路直接调制的激光二极管作为泵浦源,双包层光纤作为增益介质,构造了光纤光栅选模的线形腔结构。实验中通过调整泵浦光脉冲宽度和光纤激光器谐振腔长度,得到了稳定的高重频脉冲。在100kHz重复频率下,采用21W的峰值泵浦功率和2.5μs的泵浦脉冲宽度,获得了1.06μm波长,脉冲宽度247ns的稳定脉冲激光输出。脉冲峰值功率一致性好,平均功率长期功率稳定性为2%。观察并分析了由于纵模拍频在脉冲包络上产生的次脉冲特性。通过一级放大实现89.6 W输出。  相似文献

Peculiarities of internal optical field resonant excitation inside micron-sized spherical transparent dielectric cavity illuminated by a train of ultrashort laser pulses are investigated. On an example of water microdroplet is shown that optimal tuning of incident radiation to a selected high-Q resonance electromagnetic cavity mode can be realized by varying temporal interpulse interval in a laser train together with linear frequency modulation of every pulse (chirp). Efficiency of resonant particle excitation by a chirped picosecond pulses train can be considerably increased as compared to unchirped pulse train and CW excitation also.  相似文献

Q-switched mode locking (QML) has been observed in acousto-optic Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser that contained no mode-locking components. It was found that QML was easily realized in a long cavity and the modulation depth was observed to increase with increased cavity length. The maximum modulation depth was as high as 90%. This phenomenon is explained by the introduction of gain-related effect in the gain medium. The longitudinal modes at higher frequency, than the central frequency of the gain profile, experience positive guiding, which results in mode locking of these modes.  相似文献

激光谐振腔内相位各向异性会引起频率分裂,两分裂模的频差大小由表现出的相位延迟所决定.对于腔内相位延迟较小的He-Ne激光器,两分裂模很接近,处于烧孔重叠区,存在模式竞争而不能同时振荡,形成隐频率分裂.同时,使得激光器两正交偏振方向上的相邻级纵模产生固定的变动量,其大小等于隐频率分裂量的2倍.如果沿激光偏振方向施加横向磁场,Ne原子谱线发生横向Zeeman分裂,增益原子分成两群,分别为平行于磁场和垂直于磁场方向偏振的光提供增益,大大减弱模竞争,使得激光器的两分裂模可同时振荡并测得频差.在谐振腔内放入倾斜的石英晶体片或半波片,由两种方法分别测量频率分裂量并进行比较.实验表明两种方法测量的结果均与理论计算相符,平均相对偏差不超过1%.据此可以准确得到Zeeman双频激光器的频差大小,并为半波片测量提供了新方法.  相似文献

The output characteristics of optical feedback in a helium neon laser with a birefringent internal cavity are studied systematically in five different regions of the gain curve for the two orthogonally polarized modes. When the laser operates in the two end regions of the laser gain curve, one of the two orthogonally polarized modes will be a leading one in optical feedback. Strong mode competition can be observed. However, when the laser operates in the middle region of the laser gain curve, the two modes can oscillate equally with optical feedback. Besides the intensity of the two polarized lights, the total light intensity is also studied at the same time. M-shaped optical feedback curves are found. Particularly, when the average intensities of the two lights are comparable, the intensity modulation curve of the total light is doubled, which can be used to improve the resolution of an optical feedback system.[第一段]  相似文献

A single mode He-Ne laser operating at 6328 Å is used with an iodine cell in the cavity to detect the absorption components of iodine falling within the gain curve of the laser line. Experimental details are given for locking the frequency of the laser line with one of the hyperfine components of the iodine absorption line, using a servo-control system. The stabilization and manipulation of laser frequency by means of an external cavity are nearly ubiquitously used in fundamental research and laser applications. While most of the laser light transmits through the cavity, in the presence of some back-scattered light from the cavity to the laser, the self-injection locking effect can take place, which locks the laser emission frequency to the cavity mode of similar frequency. The self-injection locking leads to dramatic reduction of laser linewidth and noise. Using this approach, a common semiconductor laser locked to an ultrahigh-Q microresonator can obtain sub-Hertz linewidth, on par with state-of-the-art fiber lasers. Therefore it paves the way to manufacture high-performance semiconductor lasers with reduced footprint and cost. Moreover, with high laser power, the optical nonlinearity of the microresonator drastically changes the laser dynamics, offering routes for simultaneous pulse and frequency comb generation in the same microresonator. Particularly, integrated photonics technology, enabling components fabricated via semiconductor CMOS process, has brought increasing and extending interest to laser manufacturing using this method. In this article, we present a comprehensive tutorial on analytical and numerical methods of laser self-injection locking, as well a review of most recent theoretical and experimental achievements.  相似文献

The properties of low-frequency fluctuations in semiconductor lasers with optical feedback from a long external cavity are experimentally studied. Frequency-locking of the laser light output to the injection current modulation is observed when the modulation frequency approaches the external cavity mode. The modulation frequency for the successful frequency-locking is always less than the external cavity mode frequency and the locking domains as a function of the modulation amplitude is asymmetric with respect to the frequency detuning.  相似文献

By employing the technique of asynchronous mode locking, we have successfully demonstrated direct generation of stable 10 GHz 816 fs pulse trains with a supermode-suppression ratio >70 dB from a hybrid mode-locked Er-fiber laser. When the modulation frequency deviates from the cavity harmonic frequency by 15-40 kHz, stable femtosecond soliton pulses are formed. Our results demonstrate that asynchronous mode locking can act as an effective mechanism for achieving a shorter pulse width and for stabilizing high-repetition-rate pulse trains in soliton fiber lasers.  相似文献

A novel pulse fiber laser is proposed based on the modulation of the lasing wavelength. Different from conventional amplitude or phase modulated mode-locking fiber lasers, the proposed fiber laser is with a so-called Fourier domain mode locking (FDML) operation (i.e., the cavity round-trip time of the optical pulse should match the period that the open time window of the tunable filter appears for the lasing wavelength or its harmonics). An FDML pulse fiber laser with a cavity round-trip frequency of 19.46 kHz is demonstrated and optical pulses with repetition rate of 19.46 kHz are achieved when the wavelength modulation frequency is 9.73 kHz.  相似文献
