分析了利用光纤中的受激布里渊散射(SBS)相位共轭效应进行激光腔内调Q,产生ns量级脉冲激光的原理,并对利用该效应产生的激光脉冲波形和脉冲形成过程进行了数值模拟,得到的脉冲波形与SBS相位共轭反射率随时间变化曲线基本一致,表明利用光纤中的SBS相位共轭作用调Q具有可行性。据此,对采用单模光纤(SMF)作为SBS池的掺Er3+调Q光纤激光器进行实验研究,当单模光纤长度为1.5 m时,在45 mW的抽运光功率下得到脉宽约2.6 ns,脉冲周期58.23 ns,平均功率7.35 mW的激光脉冲。进一步的研究表明:激光器中相位共轭镜的形成与SBS介质长度有关,SBS介质过长,斯托克斯线之间无固定的相位关系,不能形成相干叠加,SBS相位共轭腔不能形成; SBS介质过短,腔内正交偏振模光子寿命的改变使脉冲出现双峰现象。脉冲形成后其属性只与SBS动态属性有关。  相似文献

采用新型的微通道冷却半导体激光二极管列阵泵浦YAG激光振荡器及板条YAG放大器,文中用CCl4受激布里渊散射作位相共轭镜,使激光在板条放大器中作多通放大,获得了高重复率下小于1.5倍衍射极限的高质量1.06μm的激光输出,其脉冲宽度为15ns,平均功率为180W。  相似文献

We report what is believed to be the first observation of phase conjugation by stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in TeO2 single crystal. The observed very low threshold for phase-conjugate mirror (PCM) formation, high PCM reflectivities in this initial experiment, and commercial availability of material hold promise for a host of practical applications in the near future. The resultant steady-state gain parameter, approximately 100 cm/GW, is to our knowledge the largest ever reported for any SBS material.  相似文献

在理论上分析了受激布里渊散射相位共轭效应和阈值效应对后向受激布里渊散射光束发散角的影响。在实验上,用受激布里渊散射相位共轭镜(SBS PCM)代替普通反射镜构成Nd:YAG激光器的偏振抽取腔,补偿了激活介质和光学元件造成的波前畸变,压缩了发散角,改善了光束质量。研究了抽运能量、透镜焦距等因素对受激布里渊散射偏振抽取腔输出光光束质量的影响。  相似文献

Solid-state laser sources with high average output power and high beam quality are required for numerous applications in industry and science. To improve the beam quality, stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) mirrors based on optical phase conjugation are used to compensate for phase distortions in master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) systems. SBS phase conjugation in commercially available silica optical fibers facilitates the construction of high-power solid-state laser systems with high beam quality. Here we present a flash lamp-pumped, passively Q-switched Nd:YAP system which delivers an average output power of 315 W with M2=2.6 at a wavelength of 1.08 μm. We present the correction of the phase distortion which occurs during the second harmonic generation by non-linear crystals, such as KDP and KTP at high average power laser. This is due to the optical quality and thicknesses of the crystals which in turn influence the quality of the incident laser beam. This phase distortion is corrected by reflecting back the laser beam into the crystal using a phase conjugate mirror. It is found that the conversion efficiency of second harmonic generation without phase conjugation is more than that with phase conjugation. Far field pattern shows that the distortion of the laser beam can be corrected by using the phase conjugate mirror. Fidelity of the beam profile increases significantly with phase conjugation in the case of KDP crystal.  相似文献

利用受激布城渊散射相位共轭特性和Q开关特性组成Nd:YAG激光谐振腔,代替传统激光器全反镜和调Q装置,获得能量100mJ,脉宽13ns的线偏振相位共轭激光输出,相应的激光器总体转换效率为0.47%,同时将单共振KTP光学参量振荡器置入腔内,得到波长1.57μm、能量15mJ的参理振荡激光,实验证实了受激布城渊散射相位共轭腔内光学参量振荡器运行的可行性。  相似文献

Misalignment of a laser cavity would result in the displacement of beam location on the cavity mirrors. We present a simple method for automatic cavity alignment of a solid-state laser through detecting the location of the laser beam on the rear mirror, with which neither external alignment beams nor modifications to the cavity are required. The rear mirror of the laser cavity is replaced by a tip/tilt mirror to compensate for the misalignment. Experiments show that this method could effectively correct the misalignment of the laser cavity and restore the output power to almost the original value when the resonator is well aligned.  相似文献

 角锥棱镜阵列具有溯源反射和准相位共轭两大特点,可在一定程度上补偿高平均功率固体激光器的热畸变。但由于这种角锥棱镜阵列自身的缺陷和由它构成的谐振腔输出激光模式众多的特点,限制了其在谐振腔中的应用。分析了角锥棱镜阵列谐振腔产生多模输出的原因,提出了采用腔内滤波的方法实现单模输出。理论模拟和实验研究结果表明:利用该方法可较好地改善阵列角锥棱镜谐振腔的输出特性,获得了近5倍衍射极限的输出。  相似文献

A phase conjugating mirror combining a fused silica rod and an optical fiber is presented. This configuration combines a large diameter fused silica rod with a high laser damage threshold and an optical fiber with a low stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) threshold. The composed SBS generator-amplifier construction, similar to the two-cell type makes a forced SBS process, in which the Stokes beam reflected by the fiber is injected into the fused silica rod. Using this combined phase conjugating mirror in a laser-diode-pumped laser master oscillator power amplifier system, we obtained 42% SBS reflectivity at most at 100 Hz repetition rate. At the same time, the inverse beam quality parameter M(2) is reduced from 3 to 1.6, while at 400 Hz repetition rate, M(2) is reduced from 4 to 1.7.  相似文献

A new method based “Split-combined” principle is proposed to improve the load capacity of stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) phase-conjugating mirror (PCM). The incident light is split into two beams by polarizer, which will respectively produce SBS in the same experimental conditions, and then the generated two beams of Stokes light are combined together so as to improve the system’s load capacity. The method is verified in Continuum Nd: YAG seed-injected laser system and use FC-72 as the SBS medium. The results show that this method not only has a simple structure and high efficiency characteristics, but also improves the system’s power-load capacity and acquires a better quality linearly-polarized beam, which is expected to provide a new program for the application of SBS phase-conjugating mirror in a high-power system.  相似文献

An oscillator-amplifier XeCl laser system has been used to experimentally investigate the effectiveness of a liquid stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) mirror for correcting the spatial aberrations of broad-band laser radiation in a double-pass amplifier. It has been found that the SBS amplifier performance is strongly dependent on the intensity I p exciting the Brillouin medium. A good beam reconstruction has been attained at I p1GW/cm2, whereas highly aberrated output beams have been delivered by the SBS amplifier for I p>1 GW/cm2. By comparing the broad-band SBS amplifier performance to that of the same amplifier with a dielectrically coated flat mirror at one end, it has been found that the use of a SBS mirror is advantageous to obtain lower divergence output beams only for low energy pump beams (<1 mJ).  相似文献

提出了一种可以满足大能量高峰值功率受激布里渊散射(SBS)相位共轭镜要求的独立双池结构,这种结构用在双程激光放大光路中可以补偿单程放大光路产生的动态和静态相位畸变.在7.1 J的入射能量下,最终得到了大于13 J的能量输出.相位共轭镜的能量反射率大于65%,相位共轭保真度达到90%,并且比较了以0°平面反射镜和以SBS相位共轭镜为腔镜的双程激光放大的输出结果,结果表明使用了SBS相位共轭镜之后,即使在大能量抽运的条件下也能得到很好的近场和远场保真度. 关键词: 受激布里渊散射 相位共轭镜 双程放大激光器 保真度  相似文献
