研究了非线性传输线电路禁带内能量的不对称传输现象. 传输线电路中的两子电路结构相同,电感参数不同,并且具有低通滤波器的特点. 鉴于驱动频率在通频带的截止频率之上,所以形成不对称能流的载体为 禁带内传播的非线性波.该研究中,产生不对称能量传输的机理与非线性超传导现象密切相关. 通过调整耦合电感的大小,总结出传输能量与耦合强度之间的变化规律. 同时也采用仿真的方式分析了驱动电压幅值与传输能量间的相关性. 最后,通过在实验上改变驱动频率的大小,得到超传导发生时的门限电压与驱动频率间的依赖关系, 该关系与理论计算的结果完全定性一致. 相似文献

The phenomenon of energy unidirectional transmission is numerically investigated by using a system of two coupled discrete nonlinear electrical transmission lines, each line of the network contains a finite number of cells and has different pass band structures, respectively. Using numerical simulations, we examine the frequency multiplication of the driving frequency and the lattice filtering effect in the line. These lead to the generation of energy unidirectional transmission. In the present work, energy is carried by the second harmonic wave in the pass band. In addition, we also study the dependence of the energy efficiency on the driving amplitude and other parameters of the model, such as the system size and the nonlinear coefficient, by calculation. Furthermore, after detailed numerical simulation, an experimental demonstration is realized. The experimental results agree with those in simulation qualitatively. 相似文献

A popular method for generating micron-sized aerosols is to submerge ultrasonic (ω~MHz) piezoelectric oscillators in a water bath. The submerged oscillator atomizes the fluid, creating droplets with radii proportional to the wavelength of the standing wave at the fluid surface. Classical theory for the Faraday instability predicts a parametric instability driving a capillary wave at the subharmonic (ω/2) frequency. For many applications it is desirable to reduce the size of the droplets; however, using higher frequency oscillators becomes impractical beyond a few MHz. Observations are presented that demonstrate that smaller droplets may also be created by increasing the driving amplitude of the oscillator, and that this effect becomes more pronounced for large driving frequencies. It is shown that these observations are consistent with a transition from droplets associated with subharmonic (ω/2) capillary waves to harmonic (ω) capillary waves induced by larger driving frequencies and amplitudes, as predicted by a stability analysis of the capillary waves. 相似文献

Experimental study on subharmonic and ultraharmonic acoustic waves in water-saturated sandy sediment
Experimental observations of the subharmonic and ultraharmonic acoustic waves in water-saturated sandy sediment are reported in this paper. Acoustic pressures of both nonlinear acoustic waves strongly depend on the driving acoustic pressure at a transducer. The first ultraharmonic wave reaches a saturation value as the driving acoustic pressure increases. The acoustic pressure levels of both nonlinear acoustic waves exhibit some fluctuations in comparison with that of the primary acoustic wave as the receiving distance of hydrophone increases in sediment. The subharmonic and the ultraharmonic phenomena in this study show close resemblance to those produced in bubbly water. 相似文献

Coupled backward and forward wave amplitudes of an electromagnetic field propagating in a periodic and nonlinear medium at Bragg resonance are governed by the nonlinear coupled mode equations (NLCME). This system of PDEs, similar in structure to the Dirac equations, has gap soliton solutions that travel at any speed between 0 and the speed of light. A recently considered strategy for spatial trapping or capture of gap optical soliton light pulses is based on the appropriate design of localized defects in the periodic structure. Localized defects in the periodic structure give rise to defect modes, which persist as nonlinear defect modes as the amplitude is increased. Soliton trapping is the transfer of incoming soliton energy to nonlinear defect modes. To serve as targets for such energy transfer, nonlinear defect modes must be stable. We therefore investigate the stability of nonlinear defect modes. Resonance among discrete localized modes and radiation modes plays a role in the mechanism for stability and instability, in a manner analogous to the nonlinear Schrödinger/Gross-Pitaevskii (NLS/GP) equation. However, the nature of instabilities and how energy is exchanged among modes is considerably more complicated than for NLS/GP due, in part, to a continuous spectrum of radiation modes which is unbounded above and below. In this paper we (a) establish the instability of branches of nonlinear defect states which, for vanishing amplitude, have a linearization with eigenvalues embedded within the continuous spectrum, (b) numerically compute, using Evans function, the linearized spectrum of nonlinear defect states of an interesting multiparameter family of defects, and (c) perform direct time-dependent numerical simulations in which we observe the exchange of energy among discrete and continuum modes. 相似文献

Soliton density wave is investigated numerically and analytically in the optimal velocity model (a car-following model) of a one-dimensional traffic flow with open boundaries. Soliton density wave is distinguished from the kink density wave. It is shown that the soliton density wave appears only at the threshold of occurrence of traffic jams. The Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation is derived from the optimal velocity model by the use of the nonlinear analysis. It is found that the traffic soliton appears only near the neutral stability line. The soliton solution is analytically obtained from the perturbed KdV equation. It is shown that the soliton solution obtained from the nonlinear analysis is consistent with that of the numerical simulation. 相似文献

to experimental laboratory conditions. A qualitative difference is found in the dynamics of nonlinear quasi-periodic and subharmonic
oscillations appearing in the initially stratified mixture and behaving as modulated and regular standing waves. The dependences
of the intensity of convective flows on the modulation amplitude are obtained. The results of nonlinear calculations are compared
with data on the boundaries of the equilibrium stability found from the linear theory. It is shown that a region of parameters

The effect of an external wave perturbation with a slowly varying frequency on a soliton of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation is investigated. The equations that describe the time evolution of the perturbed-soliton parameters are derived. The necessary and sufficient soliton phase locking conditions that relate the rate of change in the frequency of the perturbation, its amplitude, wave number, and phase to the initial values of parameters for the soliton have been found. 相似文献

以变系数的非自治非线性薛定谔方程为模型,考虑了一种色散、非线性和自发拉曼散射效应管理下的非自治系统,通过简单变换显式给出了该系统的精确非自治拉曼多色孤子解。基于精确孤子解,解析研究了该拉曼多色孤子在非自治管理系统中的演化特性,发现孤子的中心位置、波数与色散和非线性以及拉曼效应有关,而孤子频移仅与拉曼效应的参数决定,拉曼效应主导了非自治孤子的自频移,引起了孤子的频移在传输过程中不断的发生变化,导致了孤子的多色性。另外,我们数值讨论了该非自治孤子的传输稳定性,结果表明:该非自治拉曼多色孤子在有限的扰动下具有较好的稳定性。 相似文献

Coated microbubbles, unlike tissue are able to scatter sound subharmonically. Therefore, the subharmonic behavior of coated microbubbles can be used to enhance the contrast in ultrasound contrast imaging. Theoretically, a threshold amplitude of the driving pressure can be calculated above which subharmonic oscillations of microbubbles are initiated. Interestingly, earlier experimental studies on coated microbubbles demonstrated that the threshold for these bubbles is much lower than predicted by the traditional linear viscoelastic shell models. This paper presents an experimental study on the subharmonic behavior of differently sized individual phospholipid coated microbubbles. The radial subharmonic response of the microbubbles was recorded with the Brandaris ultra high-speed camera as a function of both the amplitude and the frequency of the driving pulse. Threshold pressures for subharmonic generation as low as 5 kPa were found near a driving frequency equal to twice the resonance frequency of the bubble. An explanation for this low threshold pressure is provided by the shell buckling model proposed by Marmottant et al. [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 118, 3499-3505 (2005)]. It is shown that the change in the elasticity of the bubble shell as a function of bubble radius as proposed in this model, enhances the subharmonic behavior of the microbubbles. 相似文献

In this paper, soliton propagation in nonlinear transmission lines (NLTLs) periodically loaded with symmetric voltage dependent capacitances is studied. From the lumped element equivalent circuit of the line we have analyzed the influence of nonlinear shunt reactances on soliton propagation characteristics. It is shown that by increasing the non linearity of the C–V characteristic, a faster separation of input signal into solitons is achieved. The fact that frequency multiplication in NLTLs is governed by soliton formation makes the results of this work relevant to understand the influence of nonlinear loading devices on multiplier performance. Since a heterostructure barrier varactor (HBV)-like voltage dependent capacitance has been considered for the nonlinear devices, this study can be of interest for the design of millimeter wave frequency multipliers loaded with HBVs. 相似文献

For a one-dimensional nonlinear optical medium with a periodic refraction index, new two-parameter soliton solutions of electrodynamics equations have been found. These solutions represent two interacting waves that propagate in two opposite directions. The oscillation frequency of each wave may fall either into the forbidden gap in the linear spectrum or outside it, and the group velocity may vary from zero to a maximal value that is determined by the parameters of the medium. Algebraic soliton solutions have been found as the limit of the nonlinear solutions, when the nonlinear wave frequency tends to the frequency of one of the linear-spectrum branches. 相似文献

We present the results of numerical study of the evolution of wave packets and envelope soliton interaction in terms of the third-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation. It is shown that an arbitrary initial pulse evolves to a few solitons and a linear quasiperiodic wave. The interaction of solitons is accompanied by the radiation of part of the wave field in the form of a linear quasiperiodic wave from the interaction region, amplification of the soliton with larger amplitude and attenuation of the soliton with smaller amplitude. 相似文献

Based on the computation approaches of numerical analysis in electromagnetic, the nonlinear pulse propagation in optical fiber is investigated in this paper. The transforming rule of the shape and spectrum of Gauss pulse are also researched in chirped and non-chirped scenarios from the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE). Analyzing the transient wave behavior in time domain and frequency domain respectively, the compression effect of chirp is also presented at different propagation distance. Then by the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, we discuss a specific solution in the quasi soliton without distortion, which has the stable propagation properly, and do the numerical simulation in soliton wave. We study localized waves on continuous wave background in an exponential dispersion decreasing fiber with two orthogonal polarization states. We demonstrate that asymmetric W-shaped and M-shaped soliton pulse can be generated from a weak modulation on continuous wave background. The numerical simulation results indicate that the generated asymmetric soliton pulses are robust against small noise or perturbation. In particular, the asymmetric degree of the asymmetric soliton pulse can be effectively controlled by changing the relative frequency of the two components. This character can be used to generate other nonlinear localized waves, such as dark–antidark and antidark–dark soliton pulse pair, symmetric W-shaped and M-shaped soliton pulse. Furthermore, we find that the asymmetric soliton pulse possesses an asymmetric discontinuous spectrum. 相似文献

Eigenvalue spectrum analysis for temporal signals of Kerr optical frequency combs based on nonlinear Fourier transform 下载免费PDF全文
Based on the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation(NLSE) with damping, detuning, and driving terms describing the evolution of signals in a Kerr microresonator, we apply periodic nonlinear Fourier transform(NFT) to the study of signals during the generation of the Kerr optical frequency combs(OFCs). We find that the signals in different states, including the Turing pattern, the chaos, the single soliton state, and the multi-solitons state, can be distinguished according to different distributions of the eigenvalue spectrum. Specially, the eigenvalue spectrum of the single soliton pulse is composed of a pair of conjugate symmetric discrete eigenvalues and the quasi-continuous eigenvalue spectrum with eye-like structure.Moreover, we have successfully demonstrated that the number of discrete eigenvalue pairs in the eigenvalue spectrum corresponds to the number of solitons formed in a round-trip time inside the Kerr microresonator. This work shows that some characteristics of the time-domain signal can be well reflected in the nonlinear domain. 相似文献
