用皮秒Nd:YAG激光器的倍频光(532nm)对具有离域π-共轭电子云结构的偶氮苯类样品材料作简并四波混频补给,测得三阶非线性电极化率x^(3)和它们的时间响应分别为10^-9esu和20ps,并对影响x^(3)的瞬时光栅作用和x^(3)的响应时间人了讨论。  相似文献

合成了一系列聚芳香杂环甲烯,包括聚吡咯甲烯和聚噻吩甲烯.采用四波混频法研究材料的共振三阶非线性光学效应(λ=532nm),其共振二阶超分子极化率γ三阶非线性光学系数分别达到10-30esu和10-8esu.选择具有良好溶解性、成膜性的聚吡咯对二甲氨基苯甲烯(PPDMAB),采用飞秒时间分辨光克尔效应方法研究材料的非共振三阶非线性光学效应(λ=790nm).实验表明,翠绿亚胺碱溶液的光克尔信号仅表现一超快响应的成分,归功于π电子云扭转产生的非共振激发.PPDMAB的非共振二阶超分子极化率γ三阶非线性光学系数分别达到γ=5.78×10-32esu和χ(3)=1.26×10-10esu.  相似文献

The third-order optical nonlinearity of Ag-O-Cs thin films, where Ag nanoparticles are embedded into a CsxO semiconductor matrix, was measured by the femtosecond optical Kerr technique. The third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility, χ(3), of the thin films was estimated to be 1.1×10-9 esu at the incident wavelength of 820 nm. The response time, i.e. the full width at half-maximum of the Kerr signal, is as fast as 114 fs only. The intrinsic third-order optical nonlinearity can be attributed to the intraband transition of electrons from the occupied state near the Fermi level to the unoccupied state. It is suggested that such a nonlinearity is further enhanced by the local field effect that is present in the metallic nanoparticles composite thin films.  相似文献

利用开孔Z扫描技术研究了吸收峰分别为553 nm和503 nm的两种尺寸CdSe/ZnS核-壳结构量子点溶液的非线性吸收性质.对于532 nm,6 ns激光脉冲,两种材料均表现出饱和吸收向反饱和吸收转化的现象.数值模拟结果表明:当吸收峰波长大于激光波长时,饱和吸收过程由快、慢两种机制组成,分别对应基态载流子被激发至不同的激发态,而强光下的反饱和吸收与快过程相关;当吸收峰波长小于激光波长时,饱和吸收主要由快过程机制引起,强光下的反饱和吸收源自激发态吸收和双光子吸收.我们的研究结果表明半导体量子点是研制光开关和光限制器件的理想候选材料.  相似文献

报道了在调Q的Nd∶YAG激光器泵浦下用Z扫描技术对具有分子内质子转移(ESIPT)特性的分子2(2′羟基苯基)间氮杂氧茚(HBO)的光学非线性的研究。结果表明:对1.06μm的光,HBO无非线性吸收,其三阶非线性极化率不随入射光强而变;而在0.53μm的激光作用下,HBO表现出显著的双光子吸收,其双光子吸收系数随泵浦光强增强而减小,而其三阶非线性极化率实部则随泵浦光强的增强而增大。在建立双光子泵浦产生激发态分子内质子转移动态模型的基础上,通过理论计算很好地解释了实验现象  相似文献

We report on the optical properties of a structurally modified silicate glass doped with Au ions. The area in the vicinity of the focal point of an 800-nm femtosecond laser in a glass sample became gray as a result of the formation of color centers after laser irradiation and turned red because of precipitation of Au nanoparticles after further annealing at 550 degrees C for 30 min. When the glass was excited by UV light at 365 nm, yellowish-white and orange-yellow emissions were observed in the laser-irradiated and the Au-nanoparticle-precipitated area, respectively. An optical Kerr shutter experiment showed that the Au nanoparticle-precipitated glass had an ultrafast nonlinear optical response, and the third-order nonlinear susceptibility was estimated to be approximately 10(-11) esu.  相似文献

The nonlinear optical response of silver and copper nanoparticles synthesized by ion implantation in silica glasses is studied in the near-ultraviolet spectral range at a wavelength of 354.7 nm. The real and imaginary parts of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) of composite materials are measured. It is shown that the quantity Imχ(3) is due to saturated absorption, while Reχ(3) is due to the self-defocusing effect in composite materials.  相似文献

Linear and nonlinear optical properties of a new organic dye, trans-4-[p-(N-n-butyl-N-n-butylamino)-styryl]-N-methyl-pyridinium tetraphenylborate solution in dimethyl formamide (DMF) have been studied systematically. When excited with mode-locked picosecond 1 064 nm laser beam, intense upconversion fluorescence and superradiance can be obtained. The temporal behaviors of one-photon absorption and two-photon absorption (TPA) fluorescence and superradiance have been studied. The highest upconversion efficiency was found to be 4.1% at a pump energy of 4 mJ. By using an optical parameter amplifier (OPA) as the pump laser, the nonlinear transmittance and upconversion efficiencies of the dye solution at different wavelengths were measured. The strongest linear absorption was found at a wavelength of 930 nm whereas the highest upconversion efficiency was at 1 030 nm. The 100 nm red-shift for the highest upconversion efficiency wavelength compared with the strongest nonlinear absorption are caused by excited state absorption. The ultrafast nonlinear optical response of Ag:BaTiO3 composite films synthesized by pulse laser deposition (PLD) is studied at the near-ultraviolet (400 nm) wavelength. The pulse duration of the laser used in the measurement is 200 fs. The real and imaginary parts of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility x(3) of the composite materials are measured. The composite films indicate self-focusing effect and nonlinear saturation, the values of Rex(3) and Imx(3) are measured to be 3.42 × 10-10 and -1.37 × 10-10 esu respectively, which are much lower than those reported before. It is mainly because that the duration of the laser used in the measurements is too short to induce the hot electron excitation and the thermal effect. The ultrafast nonlinear saturated absorption response of the Ag:BaTiO3 composite films may have potential applications for femtosecond laser mode locking.  相似文献

The third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility χ(3) in poly(octamethylene acetamidine) complexes of a series of modified oligomeric ω,ω′-diaminopropylene oxides is investigated by the third-harmonic generation technique at a wavelength of 1064 nm. It is demonstrated using UV spectroscopy that the interaction of the aforementioned chromophore-terminated polymers with polyamidine leads to the formation of network structures in which the polymer network is formed as a result of the ionic interaction. The ionic intermolecular complexes formed in this case are capable of generating the third harmonic. An increase in the length of the polymer chain in the series of modified ω,ω′-diaminopropylene oxides leads to a decrease in the absorption coefficient of the chromophore fragment and a considerable decrease in the nonlinear optical response χ(3)  相似文献

利用波长为532 nm的皮秒脉冲激光,研究了掺Er3 玻璃的光限幅特性和反饱和吸收.当入射功率不断增加且超过一定阈值时,透射功率不再随着入射功率快速增大,而是逐渐趋向于较稳定状态,从而实现了对强激光的光限幅效应.进一步利用布居速率方程讨论了其机制并给出了激发态的吸收截面,结果表明激发态吸收是其主要的光限幅机理.  相似文献

采用中心波长800 nm、脉宽30 fs的超短激光脉冲,通过飞秒光开关技术(Optical Kerr Shutter,OKS)对富勒烯有机-无机杂化材料的飞秒超快非线性特性进行了实验研究.获得270 fs的开关时间,所得的富勒烯有机-无机杂化材料的三阶非线性系数χ(3)约为4.5×10-14 esu,比C60分子的三阶非线性系数χ(3)高一个数量级.通过实验测定的光克尔信号强度与激发光和探测光偏振方向夹角的依赖关系表明:30 fs的超短激光脉冲激发富勒烯有机-无机杂化材料的克尔信号主要是源于光诱导双折射效应,而非用200 fs的超短激光脉冲时来自瞬态栅的自衍射效应.  相似文献

Three sorts of probe laser, which have pulse durations of 200 fs, 35 ps, and 70 ps, were employed in the measurement of the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility x((3)) in Au:SiO(2) composite films in a degenerate four-wave mixing scheme. We found that the composite films at their absorption peak (~550 nm) had a maximum x((3)) , which depends strongly on the pulse width of the probe laser. The value of x((3)) measured with a 70-ps laser was ~30 times larger than that measured with a 200-fs laser. The time-resolved measurements revealed that the optical nonlinearity on the femtosecond time scale is attributable mainly to contributions from the interband electric-dipole transition (especially at low concentrations) and partly to those from hot electrons rather than being dominated by hot-electron excitation in the picosecond regime.  相似文献
