Recently B.Y. CHEN initiated the study of the tensor product immersion of two immersions of a given Riemannian manifold [3]. In [6] the particular case of tensor product of two Euclidean plane curves was studied. The minimal one were classified, and necessary and sufficient conditions for such a tensor product to be totally real or complex or slant were established. In the present paper we study for tensor product of Euclidean plane curves the problem of B.Y. In this paper we determine a Blaschke structure for affine immersion of Euclidian and Hyperbolic type for plane equi-affine curve. In particular, we consider this structure in the case where the Ricci tensor of affine immersion is constant and give a necessary and sufficient condition for Ricci tensor to be constant.  相似文献

We describe a general method of manufacturing new minimal immersions between round spheres out of old ones. The resulting spherical minimal immersions are given analytically in terms of the harmonic projection operator and have higher source dimensions. Applied to classical examples, this gives an abundance of new minimal immersions of even-dimensional spheres.  相似文献

This work gives a classification theorem for affine immersions with planar geodesics in the case where the codimension is maximal. Vrancken classified parallel affine immersions in this case and obtained, among others, generalized Veronese submanifolds. In this work it is shown that the immersions with planar geodesics are the same as the parallel ones in the considered case. A geometric interpretation of parallel immersions is also given: The affine immersions with pointwise planar normal sections (with respect to the equiaffine transversal bundle) are parallel. This result is verified for surfaces in R4 and for immersions with the maximal codimension.  相似文献

We describe a general construction of manufacturing new spherical minimal immersions between round spheres out of old ones. The new immersions have higher domain dimension and degree and the construction has a precise control on the codimension. We prove a decomposition theorem for conformal immersions \(f\colon\;M^n\to {\mathbb{R}}^{N}\) into Euclidean space of a warped product of Riemannian manifolds \(M^n:=M_0\times_\rho\Pi_{i=1}^k M_i\) of dimension n ≥ 3 under the assumption that the second fundamental form \(\alpha \colon TM \times TM\to T^\perp M\) of f satisfies \(\alpha|_{TM_i\times TM_j}=0\) for i ≠ j. It generalizes the corresponding theorem of Nölker for isometric immersions as well as our previous result on conformal immersions of Riemannian products. In particular, we determine all conformal representations of Euclidean space of dimension n ≥ 3 as a warped product of Riemannian manifolds. As a consequence, we classify the conformally flat warped products.  相似文献

Using Hilbert’s criterion, we consider the stress-energy tensor associated to the bienergy functional. We show that it derives from a variational problem on metrics and exhibit the peculiarity of dimension four. First, we use this tensor to construct new examples of biharmonic maps, then classify maps with vanishing or parallel stress-energy tensor and Riemannian immersions whose stress-energy tensor is proportional to the metric, thus obtaining a weaker but high-dimensional version of the Hopf Theorem on compact constant mean curvature immersions. We also relate the stress-energy tensor of the inclusion of a submanifold in Euclidean space with the harmonic stress-energy tensor of its Gauss map. S. A submanifold in a complex space form is called slant it it has constant Wirtinger angles. B, Y, Chen and Y. Tazawa proved that there do not exist minimal proper slant surfaces in CP^2 and CH^2. So it seems that the slant immersion has some interesting properties. The authors have great interest to consider slant immersions satisfying some additional conditions, such as unfull first normal bundles or Chen‘s equality holding. They prove that there do not exist n-dimensional Kaehlerian slant immersion sin CP^n and CH^n with unfull first normal bundles. Next, it is seen that every Kaehlerian slant submanifold satisfying an equality of Chen is minimal which is similar to that of Lagrangian immersions. But in contrast, it is shown that a large class of slant immersions do not exist thoroughly. Finally, they give an application of Chen‘s inequality to general slant immersions in a complex projective space, which generalizes a result of Chen.  相似文献

The notion of affine Kähler immersions has been recently introduced by Nomizu-Pinkall-Podestà ([N-Pi-Po]). This work is aimed at giving some results towards the classification of non degenerate affine Kähler hypersurfaces with symmetric and parallel Ricci tensor; this problem generalizes the classical results due to Nomizu-Smyth ([N-S]) in the theory of Kählerian hypersurfaces. In a second section we deal with the case of “semisymmetric” affine Kähler immersions, when the curvature tensor R satisfies R · R = 0 and the Ricci tensor is symmetric, providing a complete classification; for affine Kähler curves we prove that the conditions above are actually equivalent to saying that the immersion is isometric for a suitable Kähler metric in C2.  相似文献

We define and discuss totally real and pseudoholomorphic immersions of real surfaces in a 4-manifold which, instead of an almost complex structure, carries only a framed spinc-structure, that is, a spinc-structure with a fixed generic section of its positive half-spinor bundle. In particular, we describe all pseudoholomorphic immersions of closed surfaces in the 4-sphere with a standard framed spin structure.  相似文献

Differential Galois theory, the theory of strongly normal extensions, has unfortunately languished. This may be due to its reliance on Kolchin's elegant, but not widely adopted, axiomatization of the theory of algebraic groups. This paper attempts to revive the theory using a differential scheme in place of those axioms. We also avoid using a universal differential field, instead relying on a certain tensor product.

We identify automorphisms of a strongly normal extension with maximal differential ideals of this tensor product, thus identifying the Galois group with the closed points of an affine differential scheme. Moreover, the tensor product has a natural coring structure which translates into the Galois group operation: composition of automorphisms.

This affine differential scheme splits, i.e. is obtained by base extension from a (not differential, not necessarily affine) group scheme. As a consequence, the Galois group is canonically isomorphic to the closed, or rational, points of a group scheme defined over constants. We obtain the fundamental theorem of differential Galois theory, giving a bijective correspondence between subgroup schemes and intermediate differential fields.

On the way to this result we study certain aspects of differential algebraic geometry, e.g. closed immersions, products, local ringed space of constants, and split differential schemes.

We introduced a non-symmetric tensor product of any two states or any two representations of Cuntz–Krieger algebras associated with a certain non-cocommutative comultiplication in our previous work. In this paper, we show that a certain set of KMS states is closed with respect to the tensor product. From this, we obtain formulae of tensor products of type III factor representations of Cuntz–Krieger algebras which are different from results of the tensor product of factors of type III.  相似文献

In this paper, we transform the problem of determining isometric immersions from into into that of solving a degenerate Monge-Ampère equation on the unit disc. By presenting one family of special solutions to the equation, we obtain a great many noncongruent examples of such isometric immersions with or without umbilic set.
