β-to-electric energy converters based on high-ohmic silicon, as well as processes that provide a high conversion efficiency, have been studied. It has been shown that the conversion efficiency is related to recombination in the space-charge region of converters at low levels of injection. A technique for determining the parameters of recombination centers that is built on new conversion algorithms has been developed. These algorithms make it possible to change the monotonic (and exponential as a whole) current–voltage characteristic of the device to a singular curve and find the parameters of recombination centers. These parameters have been calculated in a wide temperature range. Regions in the temperature–forward bias coordinates have been revealed in which recombination fluxes are captured by a recombination center, which influences the saturation current of the current–voltage characteristic and the conversion efficiency.  相似文献

This paper presents a new theory for calculating the transport of high-energy photons and their secondary charged particles. We call this new algorithm characteristic line method, which is completely analytic. Using this new method we cannot only accurately calculate the transport behaviour of energetic photons, but also precisely describes the transport behaviour and energy deposition of secondary electrons, photoelectrons, Compton recoil electrons and positron-electron pairs. Its calculation efficiency is much higher than that of the Monte Carlo method. The theory can be directly applied to layered media situation and obtain a pencil-beam-modelled solution. Therefore, it may be applied to clinical applications for radiation therapy.  相似文献

In this essay we discuss an interesting recent development in semiclassical gravity. Using an improved Born-Oppenheimer approximation, the semiclassical reduction of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation turns out to give important insights into the nature and the level of validity of the semi-classical Einstein equations (SCEE). Back reactions from the quantized matter fields in SCEE are shown to be completely determined by adiabatically induced geometricU(N) gauge potentials. The finite energy from the vacuum polarization, in particular, is found to be intimately related to the magnetic type geometric gauge potential. As a result the vacuum energy in a universe emerging from a source-free flat simply-connected superspace is gauge equivalent to zero, leading to some dramatic consequences.  相似文献

A high energy digital radiography (DR) testing system has generated diverse scientific and technological interest in the field of industrial non-destructive testing. However, due to the limitations of manufacturing technology for accelerators, an energy fluctuation of the X-ray beam exists and leads to bright and dark streak artifacts in the DR image. Here we report the utilization of a new software-based method to correct the fluctuation artifacts. The correction method is performed using a high pass filtering operation to extract the high frequency information that reflects the X-ray beam energy fluctuation, and then subtracting it from the original image. Our experimental results show that this method is able to rule out the artifacts effectively and is readily implemented on a practical scanning system.  相似文献

We formulate Ho?ava–Lifshitz cosmology with an additional scalar field that leads to an effective dark energy sector. We find that, due to the inherited features from the gravitational background, Ho?ava–Lifshitz dark energy naturally presents very interesting behaviors, possessing a varying equation-of-state parameter, exhibiting phantom behavior and allowing for a realization of the phantom divide crossing. In addition, Ho?ava–Lifshitz dark energy guarantees for a bounce at small scale factors and it may trigger the turnaround at large scale factors, leading naturally to cyclic cosmology.  相似文献

In Mexico there are many potential geothermal energy sources with a wide range of temperatures. At present high temperature geothermal energy is used to generate electricity. Considerable experience has been accumulated in the exploitation of geothermal energy. Lower grade geothermal heat could be used to generate electricity with organic Rankine cycle plants. There is little industrial exploitation of lower temperature geothermal resources at present even though in the centre of Mexico areas of geothermal activity coincide with industrial zones. However, this situation could change with the use of suitable heat exchangers and heat pumps, particularly absorption systems to supply process heat with very little pollution.  相似文献

In this paper,we study the symmetry energy and the Wigner energy in the binding energy formula for atomic nuclei.We simultaneously extract the I2 symmetry energy and Wigner energy coefficients using the double difference of "experimental" symmetry-Wigner energies,based on the binding energy data of nuclei with A≥16.Our study of the triple difference formula and the "experimental" symmetry-Wigner energy suggests that the macroscopic isospin dependence of binding energies is explained well by the I2 symmetry energy and the Wigner energy,and further consideration of the I4 term in the binding energy formula does not substantially improve the calculation result.  相似文献

From the eigenvalue H|n()=En() |n(), where HH0+V, one can derive an autonomous system of first-order differential equations for the eigenvaluesE n() and the matrix elements Vmn(), where is the independent variable. We perform a Painlevé test for this system and discuss the connection with integrability. It turns out that the equations of motion do not pass the Painlevé test, but a weaker form. In this work, we present a new concept called “transmission interval” in a hybrid overlay/underlay cognitive radio network. A transmission interval consists of a sequence of time slots during which the secondary user (SU) transmits its data using the optimal mode based on its current state. After the transmission interval ends, the SU has to choose between staying idle for a single time slot to save energy for future possible transmission, transmitting using the underlay mode without sensing to optimize the usage of the limited amount of available energy, or sensing the channel and transmitting using either overlay or underlay mode depending on the primary user (PU) state. The energy harvesting technology is also considered in the presence of multiple PUs and multiple SUs. For the SU network, a sequential decision problem is formulated using the mixed observable Markov decision process to determine the optimal sensing energy and the optimal transmission interval length that maximize the SU network throughput and minimize both the consumed energy and the interference to the PUs. Numerical results show that applying the transmission interval concept increases the SU network throughput and decreases the interference to the PUs compared to conventional models. Moreover, adding the action of underlay transmission without sensing increases the SU network throughput.  相似文献

By considering the relative velocity distribution function and multipole expansion interaction Hamiltonian, a three-state model for calculating the cross section of laser-induced quadrupole-quadrupole collisional energy transfer is presented. Calculated results in Xe-Kr system show that in the present system, the laser-induced collision process occurs for ~4 ps, which is much shorter than the dipole-dipole laser-induced collisional energy transfer (LICET) process. The spectrum of laser-induced quadrupole-quadrupole collisional energy transfer in Xe-Kr system has wider tunable range in an order of magnitude than the dipole-dipole LICET spectra. The peak cross section decreases and moves to the quasi-static wing with increasing temperature and the full width at half peak of the profile becomes larger as the system temperature increases.  相似文献

The theory of F?rster resonance energy transfer is generalized for multichromophoric (MC) and nonequilibrium situations. For the first time, it is clarified that the far-field linear spectroscopic information is insufficient for the determination of the reaction rate and that distance dependence of the rate can vary with the disorder and temperature. In the present work, we find that both diffusion activation energy Ea(D) and Ea(Sex) increase linearly with pressure and have the same slope (0.022±0.001 eV/GPa) for liquid Al. The temperature and pressure dependence of excess entropy is well fitted by the expression -Sex(T,P)/kB=a(P)+b(P)T+c(P)exp(Ef/kBT), which together with the small ratio of Ef/kBT leads to the relationship of excess entropy to temperature and pressure, i.e. Sex≈-cEf/T, where c is about 12 and Ef (=Δ E-PΔV) is the favourable energy. Therefore, there exists a simple relation between Ea(Sex) and Ef, i.e. Ea(Sex)≈cEf.  相似文献

The multi-reference configuration interaction method and aug-cc-pvqz (AVQZ) have been used to calculate potential energy curves (PECs) of the singlet and triplet states of the riu and rig symmetry of B2++. All of the four states (^l∏u, ^1∏g, ^3∏u and ^3∏g) are found to be metastable states, though the potential well of ^3∏u symmetry is very shallow. Based on the PECs, the analytical potential energy functions (APEFs) of these states have been fitted using the least square fitting method and two models of function. The spectroscopic parameters of each state are also calculated, and are compared with other investigations in the literature. The credibility and veracity of the two functions are evaluated. Some ideas to improve the fitting accuracy are presented. Also the vibrational levels for each state are predicted by solving the SchrSdinger equation of nuclear motion.  相似文献
