200 nm superconticnumm (SC) with high flatness (<3 dB) is demonstrated with subpicosecond optical pulses generated by a passively mode-locked figure-eight-laser. The evolution process of SC under different optical pumping power is observed experimentally. Three sequential evolution stages are found: (1) SC spectrum is asymmetrically broadened due to self-phase modulation (SPM) and group velocity dispersion (GVD). (2) When the broadened spectrum exceeds the zero dispersion point, cross phase modulation (XPM) and four wave mixing (FWM) will cause symmetrical spectrum broadening. (3) stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) causes the spectrum to broaden toward long wavelength quickly when pumping power is intense enough.  相似文献

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a scheme of high-Q microwave photonic filter (MPF) using the techniques of self-phase modulation (SPM) spectrum broadening and third-order dispersion (TOD) compensation. The optical pulses from a mode-locking laser are spectrally broadened by the SPM in the highly nonlinear fiber. A wideband optical frequency comb with 365 spectral lines within 10-dB power variation from the highest spectral power is obtained. By applying a cubic phase modulation via a waveshaper, the effect of TOD which broadens the MPF passband is eliminated. The final implemented MPF has a Q-value as high as 296 and a tuning range of 700 MHz.  相似文献

Different methods for controlling the radiation parameters of supercontinuum (SC) are analyzed. In particular, the possibility of varying the SC spectral power density due to variations in the pulse repetition rate and radiation wavelength of the pumping laser, the increase in the SC degree of coherence due to the choice of the optimal phase modulation of pumping pulses, and the variations in the SC pulse repetition rate in the two-wave pumping scheme due to the variations in the frequency difference are considered. A new method for controlling the spectrum width and the spectral power density level of the SC generated upon continuous excitation using an additional noise pumping component is proposed.  相似文献

采用主动锁模光纤激光器输出的重复频率10GHz、脉宽7.97ps的脉冲作为抽运光源,无需压缩后直接抽运4.2km的普通色散位移光纤(DSF).利用色散位移光纤中自相位调制、交叉相位调制等非线性效应的联合作用,获得了20dB带宽达125nm、覆盖整个C波段、L波段和部分S波段的超连续(SC)谱。实验研究了抽运光脉冲峰值功率和抽运波长对超连续谱宽度的影响,结果表明抽运光脉冲峰值功率越高,得到的超连续谱的带宽越宽;通过对抽运波长的优化,可以实现最大程度的超连续展宽;分析了滤波器带宽对脉冲质量的影响;利用0.4nm带宽的可调谐滤波器对从超连续谱中滤出脉冲的特性进行了研究,在超连续谱的不同波长处获得了脉宽为8.90~9.80ps、时间一带宽积为0.44~0.49的稳定的窄光脉冲。  相似文献

A mid-infrared supercontinuum (SC) is generated in ZBLAN (ZrF4-BaF2-LaF3-AlF3-NaF...) fluoride fibers from amplified nanosecond laser diode pulses with a continuous spectrum from approximately 0.8 microm to beyond 4.5 microm. The SC has an average power of approximately 23 mW, a pump-to-SC power conversion efficiency exceeding 50%, and a spectral power density of approximately -20 dBm/nm over a large fraction of the spectrum. The SC generation is initiated by the breakup of nanosecond laser diode pulses into femtosecond pulses through modulation instability, and the spectrum is then broadened primarily through fiber nonlinearities in approximately 2-7 m lengths of ZBLAN fiber. The SC long-wavelength edge is consistent with the intrinsic ZBLAN material absorption.  相似文献

超连续谱的相干性直接影响到很多光学测量器件的分辨率及准确性, 如何获得高相干度的超连续谱是当前非线性光学领域的研究热点之一. 本文首先分析超连续谱产生的机理, 认为调制不稳现象是降低超连续谱相干性的重要因素. 因此抑制调制不稳定性, 利用其他非线性效应(如自相位调制)是得到高相干性超连续谱的有效方法. 最后设计了一种全波段正常色散光子晶体光纤,仿真结果表明, 在脉宽400 fs无啁啾高斯脉冲抽运, 50 cm长该光子晶体光纤的条件下, 产生的超连续谱具有在相对功率大于-80 dB的全波段高度相干的特性.  相似文献

研究了亚纳秒脉冲抽运光子晶体光纤产生高功率超连续谱的机理.采用掺镱锁模光纤激光器产生的脉宽570ps光脉冲,抽运1.8m光子晶体光纤,得到了平均功率为1.15W、光谱覆盖范围为750nm的超连续谱.通过实验和模拟结果的对比和分析,证实了亚纳秒脉冲抽运1.8m PCF产生超连续谱时,调制不稳定性效应起了重要作用.在研究了不同抽运功率下输出的超连续谱变化后,发现随着抽运功率的提高,输出功率也更高且超连续谱覆盖波段也更宽,在瓦级输出功率下依然未达到饱和展宽状态,还有进一步提高功率和展宽光谱的空间.  相似文献

比较了在不同色散分布的色散渐减光纤中超连续(SC)谱的产生。结果表明,当光纤的色散值关于中心波长对称、且随着传输距离增加,经由反常色散区过渡到正常色散区的、凹形色散分布的色散渐减光纤更有利于产生平坦、带宽的超连续谱。从频域的全场方程出发,模拟了脉冲在光纤中的传输情形,发现脉冲在凹形色散分布的光纤中传输时,不仅在反常色散区能更大程度被压缩,在正常色散区由于存在零色散波长点,还能更进一步展宽,从而得到更宽、更平坦的超连续谱。在谱强为-27dB时,谱宽可达到298nm,比相同情况下的凸形色散的光纤中超连续谱增宽97nm。结果显示,凹形色散分布的光纤比凸形色散分布的光纤在超连续谱的产生上有更明显的优势,可以得到更宽的超连续谱。  相似文献

A novel compact supercontinuum (SC) source using the single mode photonic crystal fibers (PCF) pumped with an all fiber MOPA fiber laser is demonstrated experimentally. A bandwidth of 700 nm is achieved by operating the pumping fiber laser at a wavelength of 1064 nm, pulse duration of 10 ns, repetition rate of 50 kHz and peak power of 1 kW. The SC generation is initiated through modulation instability (MI) which breakups the nanosecond pump pulses into picosecond or femtosecond pulses, and further broadened through nonlinear effects of PCF.  相似文献

研究了皮秒抽运脉冲在正常色散平坦光纤中超连续谱的形成过程,分析了脉冲演化过程中光波分裂的产生及其所显示的四波混频对超连续谱特性的影响.结果表明:脉冲初期光谱展宽由自相位调制效应主导,此后由于光谱中心区域能量在色散作用下不断向旁瓣转移,自相位调制效应逐渐减弱而四波混频作用增强,光谱会再度显著展宽.超连续谱的噪声特性与光谱演化状态密切相关,是光谱特征结构对抽运脉冲强度噪声响应的动态表征. 关键词: 正常色散平坦光纤 自相位调制 四波混频 超连续谱  相似文献

从非线性薛定谔方程出发,对SPM作用引起传输脉冲的相位作了合理近似,引入了频谱展宽因子,发现在存在增益时正色散光纤的SPM作用加剧了脉冲频谱展宽幅度,并且脉冲中心和两翼部分的频谱展宽差异很大.给出了存在增益的正色散光纤中高斯型脉冲自相似传输的时域演化,揭示了脉冲展宽的中心部分对边翼部分挤压和覆盖及最终形成自相似脉冲的过程,提出了自相似传输现象的一种合理解释.并通过数值模拟三种不同形状初始脉冲的自相似演化过程对提出的理论进行了验证.  相似文献

对光纤混沌传输理论及混沌信号与光纤传输媒介相互作用的物理机制进行了理论研究. 通过耦合激光混沌系统和光纤传输信道,提出光纤混沌信号传输的非线性演化物理模型. 着重分析光纤自相位调制对激光混沌信号传输与演化的作用. 结果表明:自相位调制不影响混沌信号脉冲的形状,但能产生非线性相移使混沌信号频谱展宽;自相位调制不影响混沌信号脉冲的功率分布和场强分布,但能影响混沌信号脉冲的功率频谱分布,影响混沌信号光场以及慢变场的变化. 提出混沌信号在光纤传输中的非线性演化频率啁啾和形式,数值模拟了混沌信号在光纤传输过程中的相位、频谱、场以及场的慢变部分的相空间等演化形式和特点. 关键词: 混沌 光纤 传输 演化  相似文献

噪声免疫腔增强光外差分子光谱(NICE-OHMS)作为世界上最灵敏的光谱技术可以被应用到痕量气体检测、频率标准、原子分子光谱以及超灵敏引力波测量等领域中,高精细度谐振腔吸收池的使用在增长激光与腔内物质相互作用路径的同时,极大的提高了腔内激光功率,这就会饱和低气压下的气态样品吸收线从而获得亚多普勒光谱结构,因此NICE-OHMS技术不仅具有高灵敏、还具有超高分辨的优点。该研究基于光与二能级分子相互作用的密度矩阵理论对NICE-OHMS技术中包含亚多普勒的多普勒展宽光谱线型进行了理论推导,获得了光谱线型的表达式,同时以该表达式对光谱线型进行了数值模拟,其中调制频率、饱和参量、频率调制系数分别设置为384 MHz,10和0.2。由模拟结果可见吸收光谱由两个边带的吸收信号构成,在包络上存在四个亚多普勒饱和结构;色散光谱由载频以及边带的色散三者决定,并在包络上存在五个亚多普勒饱和结构,获得了与已有实验一致的结果。最后重点分析了不同探测相位、不同饱和参量下的NICE-OHMS光谱线型尤其是亚多普勒结构的变化,由于饱和参量按照调制系数分配给载频和边带,因此虽然载频饱和参量很大,但NICE-OHMS吸收光谱幅度变化不大,主要是由于该光谱信号只与边带饱和参量有关,可以看出NICE-OHMS多普勒展宽信号具有饱和效应免疫的特性,与已有实验结果也符合较好。为更进一步的实验研究提供了必要的理论基础。  相似文献

Broadband normal dispersion pumping supercontinuum (SC) generation in silica photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is investigated in this paper. A 1064-nm picosecond fiber laser is used to pump silica PCF for the SC generation. The length of PCF is optimized for the most efficient stimulated Raman scattering process in the picosecond pump pulse region. The first stimulated Raman Stokes peak is located in the anomalous dispersion regime of the PCF and near the zero dispersion wavelength; thus the SC generation process can benefit from both a normal dispersion pumping scheme and an anomalous dispersion pumping scheme. The 51.7-W SC spanning from about 700 nm to beyond 1700 nm is generated with an all-fiber configuration, and the pump-to-SC conversion efficiency is up to 90%. In order to avoid the output fiber end face damage and increase the stability of the system, an improved output solution for the high power SC is proposed in our experiment. This high-efficiency near-infrared SC source is very suitable for applications in which average output power and spectral power density are firstly desirable.  相似文献

飞秒光学频率梳波长覆盖范围向可见光波长扩展对于碘稳频激光的绝对频率测量以及光钟研究中钟激光的绝对频率测量都具有十分重要的意义. 本文在自行研制掺Er光纤飞秒光学频率梳的基础上, 采用放大-倍频-扩谱的方案, 实现了激光输出波长向可见光波长的扩展. 掺Er光纤飞秒光学频率梳输出的一部分光激光脉冲, 功率约为8 mW, 首先经掺Er光纤放大器将功率提高到531 mW, 此后利用MgO: PPLN晶体倍频, 倍频后激光的功率为170 mW, 倍频效率为32%, 脉冲宽度为85 fs. 倍频后的激光通过光子晶体光纤进行光谱展宽. 通过优化入射光偏振状态可以实现波长覆盖500-1000 nm, 输出功率为85 mW, 耦合效率为50%. 采用小型化碘稳频532 nm Nd: YAG激光器输出激光与光学频率梳光谱展宽后的激光进行拍频可以获得30 dB的拍频信号. 覆盖可见光波长的掺Er光纤飞秒光学频率梳为可见光范围内激光的绝对频率测量提供了技术手段.  相似文献

All-optical single-to-dual channel format conversion from NRZ to RZ at 10 Gbit/s using cross phase modulation (XPM) in dispersion flattened highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber (DF-HNL-PCF) is demonstrated. Format conversion with dual channels signal multicasting function is achieved by filtering simultaneously the blue- and red-chirped components of broadened optical spectrum induced by XPM between NRZ signal and clock light. Moreover, the wavelength tunability and dynamics characteristics of proposed format converter are also exploited experimentally by using NRZ signal light with different central wavelength and varying input power. Our results show that a wide wavelength operation range of 21.2 nm, extinction ratio (ER) and Q factor of over 10.9 dB and 6.1 are obtained. Furthermore, the influence of central wavelength offset of optical bandpass filter on converted RZ signal quality is investigated. The proposed scheme is simple, robust, and transparent to bit rate, which makes it very potential for application in future photonic networks.  相似文献

提出了一种新型的基于串行结构的最小频移键控调制技术,产生了相位连续,频谱宽度窄,每码元时间有两次π/2相移,类似于传统最小频移键控调制信号,给出了该调制方案的理论推导,并将其应用于8进制的多维多阶调制系统中。理论和仿真分析了不同的8进制调制方案在频谱特性,残留色散容限,自相位调制容限的不同,还分析了其受到系统滤波带宽的影响。最后仿真实现了通过350km的色散完全补偿的光纤120Gb/s的数据传输。  相似文献

The supercontinuum (SC) generation in all-normal dispersion (ANDi) photonic-crystal fiber (PCF) pumped by high power picosecond pulses are investigated in this paper. Our results show that an octave SC may be achieved by pumping the ANDi PCF with picosecond pump pulses. However, the PCF length required may have to be lengthened to several tens of centimeters, which is much longer than that with femtosecond pump pulses. The relatively long PCF gives rise to much higher Raman gain and stronger Raman frequency shift compared to those with femtosecond pump pulses, which in turn not only cause a distorted temporal waveform and an un-flattened spectrum, but also severely degrade the coherence of the generated SC.  相似文献

研究了在色散平坦渐减光纤中,交叉相位调制效应对光脉冲的传输以及超连续谱产生的影响.研究结果表明,交叉相位调制效应对超连续谱的产生起到增强的作用,提高了超连续谱产生的效率.在一定条件下,尽管脉冲的两个偏振分量的模式折射率不同,但由于交叉相位调制效应,它们能相互俘获并以共同的群速度传输,产生自捕获现象.  相似文献
