Abstract

Luminescence spectra from Eu3+ ion in C-type Eu2O3 under high pressures have been obtained. The spectral shifts can be used to study the effect of pressure on the spin-orbit and the Coulomb interactions of the 4f electrons, which are correlated with expansion of the 4f-electron wave functions. This expansion with the application of pressure results in both the variation of the electronegativity and radius of the Eu3+ ion and, ultimately, the phase transformation from C-to B-type Eu2O3. Therefore, core 4f-electrons can thus be thought of as quasivalence electrons.  相似文献

We constructed an effective one-electron Hamiltonian by using the 4f/5d energies and eigenvectors obtained from the first-principles calculation with the relativistic self-consistent discrete variational Slater software package (DV-Xα). From the effective Hamiltonian, we obtained the crystal-field and spin-orbit interaction parameters for the 4f and 5d electrons of lanthanide ions (Ce3+, Pr3+, Nd3+ and Eu3+) doped in YPO4, and these parameters were used to calculate the 4fN-4fN-15d transition. Comparison with experiments shows that the obtained parameters are reasonable and the excitation spectra can be well predicted.  相似文献

The complete diagonalisation (of energy matrix) method is applied in this paper to calculate together the optical and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectral data for Cr3+ ion at the trigonal Ga3+ site of Y3Ga5O12 crystal. The method is founded on the two-spin-orbit-parameter model where in addition to the contributions from the spin-orbit parameter of central dn ion (i.e., one-spin-orbit-parameter model) in the traditional crystal field theory, those from the spin-orbit parameter of ligand ion via covalence effect is also considered. The calculated results propose that by using only four adjustable parameters, the 12 observed spectral data (nine optical band positions and three EPR parameters g//, g and D) in Y3Ga5O12: Cr3+ are reasonably explained. The impurity-induced local lattice distortion of Cr3+ in Y3Ga5O12 crystal is also estimated through the calculations. The results are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, the Sr3Y2 (BO3)4:Eu3+ phosphor was synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction method and the luminescence characteristics were investigated. The emission spectrum exhibits one strong red emission at 613nm corresponding to the electric dipole 5D0--7F2 transition of Eu3+ under 365nm excitation, this is because Eu3+ substituted for Y3+ occupied the non-centrosymmetric position in the crystal structure of Sr3Y2 (BO3)4. The excitation spectrum indicates that the phosphor can be effectively excited by ultraviolet (254nm, 365nm and 400nm) and blue (470nm) light. The effect of Eu3+ concentration on the red emission of Sr3Y2 (BO3)4:Eu3+ was measured, the result shows that the emission intensities increase with increasing Eu3+ concentration, then decrease. The Commission Internationale del'Eclairage chromaticity (x, y) of Sr3Y2(BO3)4:Eu3+ phosphor is (0.640,0.355) at 15 mol% Eu3+.  相似文献

采用化学共沉淀法制备了不同Ba2+掺杂浓度、 不同煅烧温度的Sr0.8-xBaxEu0.2WO4红色荧光粉. 研究了样品的晶体取向和晶格 畸变对发光性质的影响, 实验结果表明: 合成的Sr0.8-xBaxEu0.2WO4红色荧光粉为四方相, 样品中Eu3+5D07F2跃迁的红光能被近紫外光和蓝光有效激发. 适量的Ba2+离子取代部分的Sr2+提高了Sr0.8Eu0.2WO4荧光粉的发光强度, Ba2+掺杂浓度的改变对基质的晶格参数、晶体对称性和发光性能影响较大, Ba2+的最佳掺杂量为30%.  相似文献

Red-emitting Y2O3:Eu3+ and green-emitting Y2O3:Tb3+ and Y2O3:Eu3+, Tb3+ nanorods were synthesized by hydrothermal method. Their structure and micromorphology have been analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The photoluminescence (PL) property of Y2O3:Eu3+,Tb3+ phosphor was investigated. In the same host (Y2O3), upon excitation with ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, it is shown that there are strong emissions at around 610 and 545 nm corresponding to the forced electric dipole 5D0-7F2 transition of Eu3+ and 5D4-7F5 transition of Tb3+, respectively. Different qualities of Eu3+and Tb3+ ions are induced into the Y2O3 lattice. From the excitation spectrum, we speculate that there exists energy transfer from Tb3+ to Eu3+ ions .The emission color of powders reveals regular change in the separation of light emission. These powders can meet with the request of optical display material for different colors or can be potentially used as labels for biological molecules.  相似文献

Abstract

The fluorescence spectra of Y2O3:Eu3+ nanoparticles have been measured under the pressure of up to 78 kbar at room temperature. In this pressure range, a red-shift of 0.02(1) nm/kbar?1 is noticed for the 0–2 line (5D07F2 transition). This shift is explained by the change of negative charge of the surrounding ligands. Compatibility between measured and calculated values for the 0–2 line position was obtained. The luminescence decay curves of the 5D07F2 transition were studied up to 78 kbar and were found to behave exponentially for all pressures studied. The fluorescence lifetime τ for the 0–2 line (5D07F2 transition) slowly decreased with pressure. The pressure effect on τ for the 0–2 line (5D07F2 transition) was explained by a model which considers the pressure effect on the line position, inter-ionic distance, ion volume and polarizability, molecular volume and polarizability, molecular refractive index and the refractive index medium n med of the surrounding hydrostatic medium. The fluorescence lifetime calculated by the present model is in close correspondence with the experimental values.  相似文献

The nanocrystal samples of titanium dioxide doped with europium ion (Eu3+/TiO2 nanocrystal) are synthesized by the sol-gel method with hydrothermal treatment. The Eu3+ contents (molar ratio) in the samples are 0, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 4%. The X-ray diffraction, UV-Vis spectroscopy data and scanning electron microscope image show that crystallite size is reduced by the doping of Eu3+ into TiO2. Comparing the Raman spectra of TiO2 with Eu3+/TiO2 (molar ratio Eu3+/TiO2=1%, 2% and 4%) nanocrystals at different annealing temperatures indicates that the anatase-to-rutile phase transformation temperatures of Eu3+/TiO2 nanocrystals are higher than that of TiO2. This is due to the formation of Eu-O-Ti bonds on the surface of the TiO2 crystallite, as characterized by the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The photoluminescence spectra of TiO2 in Eu3+/TiO2 nanocrystals are interpreted by the surface self-trapped and defect-trapped exciton relaxation. The photoluminescence of Eu3+ in Eu3+/TiO2 nanocrystals has the strongest emission intensity at 2% of Eu3+ concentration.  相似文献

利用高温固相反应法制备了Eu3+掺杂的Sr2CeO4样品,并对其吸附水前后的光谱特性进行了研究.结果发现,对于刚制备的Sr2-xEuxCeO4+x/2样品, 在Ce4+—O2-的电荷迁移激发中,只有强激发带(~35700cm-1)与Eu3+离子间存在能量传递,而弱激发带 (~29400cm-1)只是引起Ce4+—O2-的电荷迁移发射;在Sr2-xEuxCeO4+x/2样品吸附水后,Eu3+的线状吸收跃迁强度显著增加, Ce4+—O2-两个激发带均向Eu3+离子传递能量. In this study, the red phosphors, Y2W1−xMoxO6:Eu3+ and Y2WO6:Eu3+,Bi3+, have been investigated for light-emitting diode (LED) applications. In Y2WO6:Eu3+, the excitation band edge shifts to longer wavelength with the incorporation of Mo6+ or Bi3+ ions. The emission spectra exhibit 5D07F1 and 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ ion at 588, 593, and 610 nm, respectively. Moreover, the bluish-green luminescence of the WO66− at about 460 nm is observed to decrease with the incorporation of Mo6+, which results in pure red color. Thus, this study shows that the red phosphor, Y2WO6:Eu3+, incorporated with Mo6+ or Bi3+ ions is advantageous for LEDs applications.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel phosphor, Y6W2O15:Eu3+ was synthesized by thermal decomposition and phase transition of its decatungstate gel precursor. With stepwise increase of temperature to 750 °C, a crystalline phase of Y6W2O15:Eu3+forms that gives intense red emission when excited at 466 nm, the emission is attributed to the Eu3+ ions transitions from 5D0 excited states to 7FJ (J=0-4) ground states. The long excitation wavelength proves the Eu3+ transition follows the photoexcitation of the oxygen-metal (O→W lmct) charge transfer bands in yttrium tungstate. Some structural information regarding Y6W2O15 provided by luminescence is in accord with that characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The long-wavelength excitation properties of this material may find application in the production of red phosphors for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs).  相似文献

Sr2ScAlO5:Eu2+,a red oxide phosphor with a perovskite-type structure,has been synthesized through a solid-state reaction and its luminescence properties have been investigated.An absorption band centering at 450 nm is observed from the diffuse reflection spectra and the excitation spectra,indicating that the phosphor can match perfectly with the blue light of InGaN light-emitting diodes.A broad red emission band at 620 nm is found from the emission spectra,originating from the 4f 6 5d-4f 7 transition of the Eu 2+ ions.The best doping content of Eu in this material is about 5%.Sr2ScAlO5:Eu2+is a highly promising red phosphor for use in white light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

A red-emitting phosphor material, Gd2Ti2O7:Eu3+, V4+, by added vanadium ions is synthesized using the sol-gel method. Phosphor characterization by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy shows that the phosphor possesses a good crystalline structure, while scanning electron microscopy reveals a uniform phosphor particle size in the range of 230-270 nm. X-ray photon electron spectrum analysis demonstrates that the V4+ ion promotes an electron dipole transition of Gd2Ti2O7:Eu3+ phosphors, causing a new red-emitting phenomenon, and CIE value shifts to x=0.63, y=0.34 (a purer red region) from x=0.57, y=0.33 (CIE of Gd2Ti2O7:Eu3+). The optimal composition of the novel red-emitting phosphor is about 26% of V4+ ions while the material is calcinated at 800  °C. The results of electroluminescent property of the material by field emission experiment by CNT-contained cathode agreed well with that of photoluminescent analysis.  相似文献

Tb3+-doped lutetium oxyorthosilicate (Tb:Lu2SiO5, LSO) films have been successfully fabricated on carefully cleaned silicon (1 1 1) substrates by Pechini sol–gel method combined with the spin-coating technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence (PL) spectra and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were employed to characterize the resultant films. XRD patterns indicated that the films were crystallized into A-type LSO phase at 1000 °C, followed by a phase transition from A-type LSO to B-type LSO occurred at 1100 °C. The AFM observation revealed that the phosphor films were uniform and crack-free, consisting of closely packed grains with an average size of 200–300 nm. The PL spectra showed the characteristic emission 5D47FJ (J = 3–6) for Tb3+, The lifetime of Tb3+ in Tb:LSO films was 2.33 ms. The effect of heat-treatment temperature on the luminescent properties was also investigated.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline powders with various Eu3+ concentration (from 1 to 10 mol %) doped La2O3 were prepared via a combustion route. Their structure and morphology were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and High-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The emission spectra of the as-synthesized samples show that the strongest emission position is centered at 626 nm corresponding to 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ ions and the intensity change of 626 nm emission is considered as a function of ultraviolet (240 nm) irradiation time. The excitation spectra at 626 nm monitoring indicate that the charge transfer state band is varies with different Eu3+ ion concentration. These results are attributed to the surface defects of the nanocrystals.  相似文献

Pr3+-activated blue-green phosphor and Eu3+-activated red phosphor hosted in MgGa2O4 spinel have been prepared by a gel-assisted high-temperature calcination process, respectively. Both anion and cation vacancies in the host were formed by decreasing the Mg concentration in the reaction source. The induced vacancies provide possibility of the accommodation of the doped rare-earth ions with larger atomic size in the highly symmetrical spinel structure. Due to the efficient energy transfer from the spinel host to the sole 4f sub-level of the doped rare earths, monochromatic emissions with high efficiency can be obtained to allow the phosphors to find applications in solid-state laser device and other phosphors excited under low energy. The corresponding spectroscopic transition mechanism has been proposed in this work.  相似文献

Spectroscopic investigations are presented of KMgF3:Eu2+ crystal under high hydrostatic pressure from ambient to 310 kbar. The sample was excited by 30 ps pulses generated by optical parametric generator (OPG) system with wavelength controlled between 210 and 325 nm. The Grüneisen parameters of individual phonons are obtained from the pressure shift of the Eu2+ emission related to the 6P7/28S7/2 transition accompanied by phonon sideband. The luminescence decays exponentially for the pressure below 135 kbar with lifetime of 3.30 ms and slightly nonexponential above 135 kbar, while the average decay time is nearly independent of the pressure. The results obtained for KMgF3:Eu2+ are compared with those for LiBaF3:Eu2+ in which the 6P7/28S7/2 emission is replaced by the broadband emission of the 4f65d1→4f7 transition at high hydrostatic pressure.  相似文献

采用高温固相法制备了发光样品Y1.98O3:Eu3+0.01,Dy3+0.01.采用X射线衍射仪(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、荧光光谱仪、单光子计数器测试了不同含量的H3BO3对Y1.98O3:Eu3+0.01,Dy3+0.01物相结构、颗粒形貌、发光性能、余辉性能的影响.结果表明当H3BO3含量低于8%(mol)时,样品可保持Y2O3晶格结构,且样品颗粒随H3BO3的含量增加逐渐增大.样品光致发光由Eu3+离子电子的5D0→7FJ跃迁所致,主峰位于612 nm,且发光强度随H3BO3含量的增加呈线性增强.随着H3BO3含量的增加,样品余辉衰减时间逐渐增加,热释光谱分析表明H3BO3的加入增加了基质陷阱能级的深度与浓度,故而导致样品长余辉性能的变化.  相似文献
