A modified version of the pulse echo technique was used to measure the velocity of propagation and attenuation of ultrasound in excised tissue of young-adult Sprague-Dawley rats. The measurements were made at ultrasonic frequencies of 1.0, 2.25, 5.0, 7.5 and 10.0 MHz. The temperature of the tissues was monitored continuously to within ± 0.1°C of the ambient temperature. The acoustic parameters were measured in the liver, kidney, cardiac muscle and gastrocnemius muscle. All measurements were carried out in the near field region of the ultrasonic beam. It was observed that the velocity of propagation in tissues showed a slight dispersion with frequency. The attenuation in tissues increased with increasing frequency.  相似文献

Alpha spectroscopic data from the decay chain 218Fr → 214At → 210Bi have been obtained. Previously unobserved isomeric states were found in both 218Fr and 214At. The half-life of the ground state of 218Fr was measured to be 1.3+0.5 −0.4 ms. The half-life of the new isomeric state in 218Fr was determined to be 22.0±0.5 ms and its decay was found to be very complex with no fewer than 20 -groups varying in energy between 6837 keV and 7952 keV. Two long-lived states in 214At with half-lives of 558±10 ns and 760±15 ns, respectively, were found to be strongly populated in the decay of 218mFr. These two states are proposed to be a 1 ground state and a 9 isomeric state arising from the coupling between the unpaired h9/2 proton and g9/2 neutron.  相似文献

Many structural materials display a slight orthotropy when they are rolled into plate form. A theory is developed for propagation of horizontally polarized ultrasonic shear waves in the planes of (orthotropic) material symmetry of these plates. The waves propagate at an angle θ to the plate normal. If E represents a measure of the shear stress field, then pure-mode waves can be propagated if both cos2 θ and sin2 θ E; the polarization directions are the material symmetry axes.

The theory can be applied to ultrasonic stress measurements. The (normalized) velocity difference (acoustic birefringence) between two pure-mode SH-waves propagating in orthogonal material symmetry planes is related to stresses in the plate, and to the (initial) birefringence in the unstressed state. By making measurements of birefringence at two or more values of θ, the dependence upon the initial birefringence can be removed and information about the stresses obtained.  相似文献

数值测量了卸载过程中二维单分散圆盘颗粒系统的横波、纵波声速、声衰减系数、非线性系数随压强的变化以及声衰减系数随频率的变化.结果表明,二维(2D)圆盘颗粒体系的横波、纵波声速均随压强呈分段幂律标度:当压强P10~(-4)时,横波、纵波声速随压强的增大而减小;当P10~(-4)时,有v_t~P~(0.202),v_l~P~(0.338).进一步得到其剪切模量和体积模量的比值G/B也随压强呈幂律标度,G/B~P~(-0.502),暗示在低压强下,与三维(3D)球形颗粒体系类似,2D圆盘颗粒体系也处于L玻璃态.水平激励和垂直激励下2D圆盘颗粒系统的衰减系数随频率变化也呈现分段行为:当频率f0.05时,衰减系数不随f变化;当f0.05时,横波纵波的衰减系数α~f;当f0.35时,横波衰减系数α_T~f~2,纵波衰减系数α_L~f~(1.5).此外,竖直水平激励下的2D圆盘颗粒系统的非线性系数和衰减系数随压强也呈现与声速类似的分段规律:当P10~(-4)时,横波非线性系数β_T~P~(-0.230),其余都不随压强变化.当P10~(-4)时,两者均随压强增大呈幂律减小:β_T~P~(-0.703),β_L~P~(-0.684),α_T~P~(-0.099),α_L~P~(-0.105).进而得到2D圆盘颗粒系统中散射相关的特征长度?~*随压强呈幂律标度,当P10~(-4)时,?~*~P~(-0.595);当P10~(-4)时,?~*~P~(0.236).  相似文献

An application of our developed silicon photodiode detector for radon progeny measurements is presented in this paper. It was determined the deposition velocity for free (3.6 ± 0.7) × 10−3 m s−1 and attached (1.0 ± 0.5) × 10−5 m s−1 fraction of short living radon progeny.  相似文献

The longitudinal ultrasonic attenuation measurements have been made using pulse echo method at fundamental frequencies of 2, 4, 6 and 8 MHz in 20WO3–(80−x) TeO2xPbO ternary tellurite glasses (x=10, 12.5, 15, 17.5 and 20 mol%) in the temperature range 160–280 K. The results showed the presence of a broad peak which shifts to higher temperature with increasing frequency. The ultrasonic attenuation peaks suggest that the experimental behavior is controlled by thermally activated structural relaxations. The internal friction, acoustic activation energy, deformation potential, relaxation strength, number of loss centers and density of state have been calculated both as a function of temperature and PbO content. The acoustic activation energy was found to decrease from 0.156 to 0.135 eV with the increase of PbO content. The results showed that both the number of loss centers and their activation energy decrease with the atomic ring size. An increase in the density of state is observed with addition of PbO content at the same frequency in the whole range of temperature which is associated with structural units formed when PbO is added.  相似文献

In terms of photoelastic mechanism we have investigated the Raman scattering intensities of the folded longitudinal acoustic (FLA) phonons in GexSi1-x/ Si superlattices (SLs), taking into account the differences between the acoustic and photoelastic parameters of the two constituents in the SLs. The relative intensities calculated for the FLA phonons are in excellent agreement with the experimental results at the frequencies up to about 50 cm-1. The broadening of the linewidth arising from the so called strong acoustic attenuation, which was reported previously located around the frequency 15 cm-1 in GexSi1-x/Si SLs(x≈0.5), has not been observed in this work.  相似文献

This study examines the extent to which ultrasonic attenuation coefficients and velocity properties change between normal and fatty rat liver. The view of this problem is toward the application in clinical medicine in the future. Fatty livers were produced in rats by feeding them alcohol diets in liquid form. The animals were sacrificed and the fat concentration of the liver specimens determined. The fat concentration varied from 2.5% to 16.8% wet weight. The ultrasonic attenuation coefficient and velocity properties in 28 specimens were measured at 100 MHz with the scanning laser acoustic microscope (SLAM). Regression analysis was applied to the liver's ultrasonic propagation properties as a function of fat concentration. The results show that the attenuation coefficient increases at a rate of 1.08 dB/mm/% fat and the velocity decreases at a rate of 2.3 m/s/% fat as the fat concentration increases.  相似文献

Hexagonal wurtzite structured aluminium nitride has been characterized by the theoretical calculation of ultrasonic attenuation, ultrasonic velocity, higher order elastic constants, thermal relaxation time, acoustic coupling constants and other related parameters in temperature range 200-800 K for wave propagation along the unique axis of the crystal. Higher order elastic constants of AlN at different temperatures are calculated using Lennard-Jones potential for the determination of ultrasonic attenuation. A decrease in ultrasonic velocity with temperature has been predicted, which is caused by reduction in higher order elastic constants with temperature. The temperature dependent ultrasonic properties have been discussed in correlation with higher order elastic constants, thermal relaxation time, thermal conductivity, acoustic coupling constants and thermal energy density. Anomalous behaviour of the attenuation is found at 400 K. On the basis of attenuation, the ductility and performance of AlN have been studied.  相似文献

Precipitation of calcium carbonate by ultrasonic irradiation   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8  
Supersaturated solution of calcium carbonate ([Ca2+]=1.2 mmol/L, [HCO3]=3.2 mmol/L, pH=8.8, T=30±0.5 °C), a scale forming component, was irradiated by an ultrasonic homogenizer (24 kHz, 15–250 W/cm2) to study the factors that affect its precipitation rate. The factors of (1) depth of horn immersion, (2) ultrasonic intensity and horn tip size and (3) cavitation, which can affect the precipitation rate were investigated in this study. Ultrasonic irradiation was observed to accelerate the precipitation of calcium carbonate and it was found that there exists an optimum range of horn immersion depth for maximizing the precipitation rate. The experimental data also established that the precipitation rate was proportional to ultrasonic intensity and diameter of horn tip. These findings were correlated to the effects of physical mixing, that arises due to ultrasonic irradiation. However, the effect of cavitation in accelerating the precipitation rate was found to be small. Thus it is forwarded that the physical mixing effect, especially macrostreaming is the main factor that accelerates the precipitation rate of calcium carbonate during ultrasonic treatment. Further, neither the morphology nor the size of the calcium carbonate crystals formed were found to be affected by the ultrasonic irradiation.  相似文献

For non-destructive testing applications it is often necessary to limit the number of cycles in a pulse produced by ultrasonic transducers. Usually a backing with a high ultrasonic attenuation and with an acoustic impedance chosen to match that of the piezoelectric active element of the transducer is employed. The acoustic properties of the commonly used tungsten/Araldite backings are compared theoretically with those of composites made by pressing tungsten powder with a powder of a plastic metal. The change in ultrasonic velocity and attenuation due to scattering by the tungsten particles is investigated and the dependence on frequency is determined.  相似文献

为了深入研究不同入射频率下超声波纵波在砂岩中的传播特性,以灰、红、褐砂岩为研究对象,开展了基于50 k Hz、100 kHz、200 kHz、500 kHz和1000 kHz入射频率的超声波纵波测试。提取纵波波速、幅值衰减系数、主频幅值、波形能量这些声学参数,结合入射频率和砂岩孔隙率进行传播特性的相关性分析。结果表明,在3种砂岩中,纵波波速随入射频率增大呈非线性增长趋势,砂岩种类不同,波速增长规律也不同;波形能量和主频幅值随入射频率呈指数关系降低;灰、红砂岩纵波波速随孔隙率越大,下降速率越大,褐砂岩在同级孔隙率下波速差异性明显。建立了基于3种砂岩的入射频率和幅值衰减系数的回归方程;基于200 kHz的入射频率,建立了砂岩孔隙率于波形能量的回归方程,实际测试中建议采用200 kHz作为入射频率,可较好兼顾检测的灵敏度和探测距离。研究成果为建立声学参数与砂岩抗压强度之间的内在联系提供了更多数据支撑,为实际物探测试中超声波入射频率的选择提供参考。  相似文献

The influence of droplet crystallization and melting on the ultrasonic properties of oil-in-water emulsions has been investigated. The ultrasonic velocity and attenuation were measured in a series of 3 wt% n-hexadecane-in-water emulsions as a function of frequency (0.3–4 MHz), droplet diameter (0.4 and 1 μm) and temperature (0–25°C). The emulsified n-hexadecane crystallized at about 5°C due to supercooling effects and melted at about 18°C. As solid and liquid n-hexadecane have significantly different ultrasonic properties, an appreciable change in the velocity and attenuation is observed during the phase transition. This behaviour is modified significantly in systems where the emulsion droplets are partially crystalline because the temperature fluctuations associated with the ultrasonic wave can perturb the phase equilibria solid liquid causing excess attenuation and velocity dispersion. The magnitude of this effect depends on the ultrasonic frequency and the average droplet size.  相似文献

The decays of 48Sc and 48V have been studied with Ge(Li) diodes, scintillation spectrometers and a double focussing beta-ray spectrometer. The 3507 keV level, from which originates the quadruple cascade (9.4±0.5)% in the 48Sc decay, is also de-excited by a 1212 keV cross-over transition to the 2295 keV (4+) level and supports the assumption, that the 3507 keV level has a spin 6+. The first member of the reported triple cascade in the 48V decay is shown to be a doublet of 928.9±0.7 (1.2±0.2)% and 944.3±0.5 keV (8.0±0.5)% gamma rays, both followed by the 1311.4–983.3 keV cascade. Evidence was found, that the 2421 keV (2+) level is excited by weak gamma rays from high-energy levels. The K/β+ ration in the 48V decay is 0.69±0.05 The Q-values of 48Sc and 48V are calculated to be 3986±7 keV and if 4015±4 keV, respectively. The energy of the gamma ray of 47Sc, which is present as an impurity, is 159.2±0.5 keV.  相似文献

The sonic range velocities of normal zone propagation in high current density superconductor were observed. The experimental results were obtained on samples of 0.16–0.11 mm thickness of a monofilamentary NbTi wire with critical current density Jc about 106 A/cm2. The s→n change of the sample sections was recorded after the normal zone stimulation by the magnetic field impulse. The voltage increasing speed reached 1.5×107 V/s, and the normal zone propagation velocity exceeded 5±1 km/s. This high velocity can be caused by the detonation-like propagation of normal phase in superconductor with high current density.  相似文献

The reorientation effect in Coulomb excitation was used to measure the static quadrupole moments of the first 2+ states in 126Te and 128Te. The particle-γ coincidence technique using a large NaI(Tl) crystal was employed to measure relative excitation probabilities at backward and forward projectile scattering angles. The Winther-de Boer multiple Coulomb excitation program was used to analyze the data. The influence of the deorientation effect was also determined. For positive interference via the second 2+ state the extracted quadrupole moments of the first 2+ states are; −0.20±0.09 b and -0.24±0.08 b for 126Te and 128Te respectively. The quadrupole moments of the first 2+ states of122,124,126,128,130Te determined by different techniques are in excellent agreement with one another. The values are compared with recent theoretical calculations.  相似文献

设计了一种基于非侵入式超声波透射衰减法的浆料浓度测量系统,根据超声传播衰减原理,建立超声衰减值与浆料浓度之间的关系。实验中采用生物显微镜和激光粒度仪对颗粒标称粒径进行验证,采用中心频率为200 kHz的超声波换能器,利用一发一收模式对超声波在有机玻璃管内的浆料进行非侵入式测量并分析透射波信号,对体积百分浓度小于25%、不同粒径的石英砂浆料进行测量,通过拟合方法获得浆料温度、体积百分浓度与声衰减对应的关系,并据此构造浓度求解方程,通过现场实时在线测量并与取样结果进行对比验证方程的准确性,结果显示,本方法可有效测量浆料浓度。  相似文献

The 14C(t, p)16C reaction locates five new states in 16C, at excitation energies of 3120 ± 15, 3983 ± 10, 4136 ± 10 and 6109 ± 15 keV, in addition to the g.s. and 1.76 MeV states. The 3.02 and 3.98 MeV states appear to be the second 0+ and 2+ 2p-2h states, respectively. The 4.14 MeV state has Jπ = 4+ and the 6.11 MeV state has Jπ = 2+, 3, or 4+.  相似文献
