In this paper, we study classical Hardy inequalities, both in the subcritical case on the whole space and the critical case on a ball. Two Hardy inequalities are quite different from each other in view of their forms, scaling structures and optimal constants. Nevertheless we show that, when the exponents are chosen appropriately, both inequalities are equivalent at least in the radial setting. A transformation which connects two inequalities is a key in our argument. As an application, we improve the critical Hardy inequality on a ball by using the improved subcritical inequality on the whole space.  相似文献

We establish criteria for the validity of modular inequalities for the Hardy operator on the cone Ω of nonnegative decreasing functions from weighted Orlicz spaces with general weight. The result is based on the theorem on the reduction of modular inequalities for positively homogeneous operators on the cone Ω, which enables passing to modular inequalities for modified operators on the cone of all nonnegative functions from an Orlicz space. It is shown that, for the Hardy operator, the modified operator is a generalized Hardy operator. This enables us to establish explicit criteria for the validity of modular inequalities.  相似文献

In this paper we present new results on two‐weight Hardy, Hardy–Poincaré and Rellich type inequalities with remainder terms on a complete noncompact Riemannian Manifold M. The method we use is flexible enough to obtain more weighted Hardy type inequalities. Our results improve and include many previously known results as special cases.  相似文献

Weak martingale Hardy spaces and weak atomic decompositions   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
In this paper we define some weak martingale Hardy spaces and three kinds of weak atoms. They are the counterparts of martingale Hardy spaces and atoms in the classical martingale Hp-theory. And then three atomic decomposition theorems for martingales in weak martingale Hardy spaces are proved. With the help of the weak atomic decompositions of martingale, a sufficient condition for a sublinear operator defined on the weak martingale Hardy spaces to be bounded is given. Using the sufficient condition, we obtain a series of martingale inequalities with respect to the weak Lp-norm, the inequalities of weak (p ,p)-type and some continuous imbedding relationships between various weak martingale Hardy spaces. These inequalities are the weak versions of the basic inequalities in the classical martingale Hp-theory.  相似文献

Three important inequalities (the Poincaré, Hardy and generalized Poincaré inequalities) on the mixed boundary conditions are firstly established by some analytical techniques. Then the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions are studied for a class of semilinear elliptic equations with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions involving Hardy terms and Hardy-Sobolev critical exponents by using the variational methods.  相似文献

This paper establishes the Hardy–Littlewood–Pólya inequalities, the Hardy inequalities and the Hilbert inequalities on amalgam spaces. Moreover, it also gives the mapping properties of the Mellin convolutions, the Hadamard fractional integrals and the Hausdorff operators on amalgam spaces. We establish these properties by some estimates for the operator norms of the dilation operators on amalgam spaces.

In this paper, sufficient and necessary conditions for the first order interpolation inequalities with weights on the Heisenberg group are given. The necessity is discussed by polar coordinates changes of the Heisenberg group. Establishing a class of Hardy type inequalities via a new representation formula for functions and Hardy-Sobolev type inequalities by interpolation, we derive the sufficiency. For the Hardy transform of a nonincreasing function we obtain a sharp two-sided estimate of the BLO-norm and sharp inequalities between the BMO- and the BLO-norms of a nonincreasing function. Although the Hardy inequality corresponding to one quadratic singularity, with optimal constant, does not admit any extremal function, it is well known that such a potential can be improved, in the sense that a positive term can be added to the quadratic singularity without violating the inequality, and even a whole asymptotic expansion can be built, with optimal constants for each term. This phenomenon has not been much studied for other inequalities. Our purpose is to prove that it also holds for the gaussian Poincaré inequality. The method is based on a recursion formula, which allows to identify the optimal constants in the asymptotic expansion, order by order. We also apply the same strategy to a family of Hardy–Poincaré inequalities which interpolate between Hardy and gaussian Poincaré inequalities.  相似文献

Motivated by the idea of Badiale and Tarantello who have found Hardy-Sobolev inequalities on Rn, a class of Hardy-Sobolev type inequalities on H-type groups is proved via a new representation formula for functions. Extremal functions realizing equality in the inequalities are discussed by refined Concentration-Compactness principles. Finally, some sharp constants for Hardy type inequalities are given. The existence of Laplace representations for functions in weighted Hardy spaces on the right half plane is established. The method uses an extension of an inequality involving Nörlund matrices and corresponding convolution operators on the line. Analogous inequalities are proved for power series representations of functions in weighted Hardy spaces on the disc.

With the help of a radially invariant vector field, we derive inequalities of the Hardy kind, with no boundary terms, for W~(1,p) functions on bounded star domains.
