The multifractal (MF) distribution of the electrostatic potential near any conformally invariant fractal boundary, like a critical O(N) loop or a Q-state Potts cluster, is solved in two dimensions. The dimension &fcirc;(straight theta) of the boundary set with local wedge angle straight theta is &fcirc;(straight theta) = pi / straight theta-25-c / 12 (pi-straight theta)(2) / straight theta(2pi-straight theta), with c the central charge of the model. As a corollary, the dimensions D(EP) of the external perimeter and D(H) of the hull of a Potts cluster obey the duality equation (D(EP)-1) (D(H)-1) = 1 / 4. A related covariant MF spectrum is obtained for self-avoiding walks anchored at cluster boundaries.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a detailed calculation of the persistence exponent straight theta for a nearly Markovian Gaussian process X(t), a problem initially introduced elsewhere in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 77, 1420 (1996)], describing the probability that the walker never crosses the origin. Resummed perturbative and nonperturbative expressions for straight theta are derived, which suggest a connection with the result of the alternative independent interval approximation. The perturbation theory is extended to the calculation of straight theta for non-Gaussian processes, by making a strong connection between the problem of persistence and the calculation of the energy eigenfunctions of a quantum mechanical problem. Finally, we give perturbative and nonperturbative expressions for the persistence exponent straight theta(X0), describing the probability that the process remains larger than X(0)sqrt[].  相似文献

Using a novel NMR scheme we observed persistence in 1D gas diffusion. Analytical approximations and numerical simulations have indicated that for an initially random array of spins undergoing diffusion, the probability p(t) that the average spin magnetization in a given region has not changed sign (i.e., "persists") up to time t follows a power law t(-straight theta), where straight theta depends on the dimensionality of the system. Using laser-polarized 129Xe gas, we prepared an initial "quasirandom" 1D array of spin magnetization and then monitored the ensemble's evolution due to diffusion using real-time NMR imaging. Our measurements are consistent with analytical and numerical predictions of straight theta approximately 0.12.  相似文献

采用磁控溅射的方法制备了Co/FeMn/Co多层膜,研究了Co(底部)/FeMn和FeMn/Co(顶部)界面插入Pt层后磁矩的变化情况.通过测量磁滞回线可知,Co(底部)/FeMn界面的Pt插层改变了体系的饱和磁化强度s,随着Co层厚度(tCo)的增加s不断趋近于Co块体结构理论值1440 kA/m.这是因为Co(底部)/FeMn界面产生了净磁矩,而界面处的Pt插层可以减少这种净磁矩的产生.但是 关键词: 磁性多层膜 垂直磁各向异性 交换耦合  相似文献

X-ray reflectivity analyses were performed in the Si/WTi (7 nm)/NiFe (30 nm)/FeMn (13 nm)/NiFe (10 nm)/WTi (7 nm) exchange-biased system prepared by magnetron sputtering under three different argon working pressures. Layer-by-layer analyses were realized in order to obtain the interfacial roughness parameters quantitatively. For a fixed argon pressure, the root-mean-square roughness (including the atomic grading) of the upper (FeMn/NiFe) interface are greater than that for the lower one in all studied samples. Argon working pressure also has severe influence over the NiFe/FeMn interfaces, being more pronounced at the upper interfaces.  相似文献

We show that the probability, P0(l), that the height of a fluctuating (d+1)-dimensional interface in its steady state stays above its initial value up to a distance l, along any linear cut in the d-dimensional space, decays as P0(l) approximately l(theta). Here straight theta is a "spatial" persistence exponent, and takes different values, straight theta(s) or straight theta(0), depending on how the point from which l is measured is specified. These exponents are shown to map onto corresponding temporal persistence exponents for a generalized d = 1 random-walk equation. The exponent straight theta(0) is nontrivial even for Gaussian interfaces.  相似文献

We discuss a phenomenon important to the development of the early Universe which may be experimentally testable in heavy-ion collisions. An arbitrary induced straight theta vacuum state should be created in heavy-ion collisions, similar to the creation of the disoriented chiral condensate. It should be a large domain with a wrong straight theta(ind) not equal0 orientation which will mimic the physics of the early Universe when it is believed that the fundamental parameter straight theta(fund) not equal0. We test this idea numerically in a simple model where we study the evolution of the phases of the chiral condensates in QCD with two quark flavors with nonzero straight theta(ind) parameter. We see the formation of a nonzero straight theta(ind) vacuum on a time scale of 10(-23) s.  相似文献

Effective anisotropy of the ferromagnetic pinned layer of ferro(FM)-antiferromagnetic (AF)-coupled NiFe(FM)/FeMn(AF) exchange-biased system was investigated in a broad frequency range (100 MHz-5 GHz) using a complex permeability spectrum. The exchange bias and effective uniaxial anisotropy fields of the thin film have been computed theoretically using the Landau-Lifschitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation. From the measurements, uniaxial anisotropy of the pinned FM layer has been extracted to understand the nature of the exchange bias in the system. It is found that the uniaxial anisotropy field of NiFe layer when exchange biased with the AF layer increases from 5 to 15 Oe at different external magnetic fields.  相似文献

In this paper we study the invariance of the noncommutative gauge theories under C, P, and T transformations. For the noncommutative space (when only the spatial part of straight theta is nonzero) we show that noncommutative QED (NCQED) is parity invariant. In addition, we show that under charge conjugation the theory on noncommutative R(4)(straight theta) is transformed to the theory on R(4)(-straight theta), so NCQED is a CP violating theory. The theory remains invariant under time reversal if, together with proper changes in fields, we also change straight theta by -straight theta. Hence altogether NCQED is CPT invariant. Moreover, we show that the CPT invariance holds for general noncommutative space-time.  相似文献

We point out that for solar neutrino oscillations with the mass-squared difference of Deltam(2) approximately 10(-10)-10(-9) eV(2), i.e., in the so-called vacuum oscillation range, the solar matter effects are non-negligible, particularly for the low energy pp neutrinos. 在铁磁层(FM)/反铁磁层(FeMn)耦合体系中插入Pt 插层或对靠近FM/FeMn界面处的FeMn掺杂Pt元素,研究了体系的交换偏置场 Hex及矫顽力Hc随Pt插层深度 dPt与Pt掺杂层厚度tPtFeMn的变化关系. 实验结果表明,引入Pt插层后NiFe/FeMn(dPt)/Pt/FeMn体系的未补偿磁矩(UCS)的数量得到很大的提高,从而对HexHc 起到增强的作用; 同时, 从实验结果可以推测FeMn层内部UCS的分布深度约为1.3 nm. 另外,对靠近FM/FeMn界面处的FeMn掺杂Pt元素,发现掺入Pt元素后体系的Hex 得到有效增强, 这是因为掺入Pt元素后体系UCS的数量也得到很大的提高.  相似文献

Polarized Raman spectra of high purity aligned arrays of multiwalled carbon nanotubes, prepared on silica substrates from the thermal decomposition of a ferrocene-xylene mixture, show a strong dependence of the graphitelike G band and the disorder-induced D band on the polarization geometry employed in the experiments. The experimental G-band intensity exhibits a minimum at straight theta(m) = 55 degrees in the VV configuration, in good agreement with theoretical predictions of a characteristic minimum at 54.7 degrees for A(1g) modes in single wall nanotubes, where straight theta(m) denotes the angle between the polarization direction and the nanotube axis.  相似文献

Exchange-coupled wedged-permalloy (Py)/FeMn bilayers are studied by ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) technique at room temperature. In comparison, Py single layer films were also made. For Py single layer films and Py/FeMn bilayers, only one uniform resonance peak was observed at high magnetic fields, indicating no interfacial diffusion at the Py/FeMn and Py/Cu interfaces. Negative isotropic in-plane resonance field does exist in Py/FeMn bilayers and its magnitude increases with decreasing Py layer thickness. In order to explain above phenomena, interfacial perpendicular anisotropy must be considered simultaneously, in addition to irreversible rotation of spins in FeMn layers. This is because the perpendicular resonance field of the bilayers is larger than that of Py single layer films.  相似文献

We report measurements of the 115In nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate ( 1/T1) between T = 0.09 and 100 K in the new heavy fermion (HF) compound CeIrIn5. At 0.4 < or = T< or = 100 K, 1/T1 is strongly T-dependent, which indicates that CeIrIn5 is much more itinerant than known Ce-based HFs. We find that 1/T1T, subtracting that for LaIrIn5, follows a (1 / T+straight theta)3/4 variation with straight theta = 8 K. We argue that this novel feature points to anisotropic, due to a layered crystal structure, spin fluctuations near a magnetic ordering. The bulk superconductivity sets in at 0.40 K below which the coherence peak is absent and 1/T1 follows a T3 variation, which suggests unconventional superconductivity with line-node gap.  相似文献

Effect of low energy ion beam etching on exchange bias in NiFe/FeMn/NiFe trilayer is investigated in multilayers prepared by rf magnetron sputtering. Stepwise etching and magnetization measurement of FeMn layer in an NiFe/FeMn bilayer show increase of bias as etching proceeds and FeMn thickness decreases. The bias show a maximum around 7 nm FeMn thickness and then fall sharply below 5 nm, broadly in line with the exchange bias variation at increasing FeMn thickness but in reverse order, particularly at low FeMn thickness. Progressive etching of top NiFe layer in the NiFe/FeMn/NiFe trilayer shows an initial gradual increase in bias followed by a sharp increase below 7 nm thickness of top NiFe layer, with a maximum at 2 nm thickness for both NiFe layers and greater bias for seed NiFe layer.  相似文献

We have used ferromagnet/antiferromagnet/ferromagnet trilayers and ferromagnet/antiferromagnet multilayers to probe the grain size dependence of exchange bias in polycrystalline Co/Fe50Mn50. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy show that the Fe50Mn50 (FeMn) grain size increases with increasing FeMn thickness in the Co (30 Å)/FeMn system. Hence, in Co(30 Å)/FeMn(tAF Å)/Co(30 Å) trilayers the two Co layers sample different FeMn grain sizes at the two antiferromagnet/ferromagnet interfaces. For FeMn thicknesses above 100 Å, where simple bilayers have a thickness-independent exchange bias, we are therefore able to deduce the influence of FeMn grain size on the exchange bias and coercivity (and their temperature dependence) simply by measuring trilayer and multilayer samples with varying FeMn thicknesses. This can be done while maintaining the (1 1 1) orientation, and with little variation in interface roughness. Increasing the average grain size from 90 to 135 Å results in a fourfold decrease in exchange bias, following an inverse grain size dependence. We interpret the results as being due to a decrease in uncompensated spin density with increasing antiferromagnet grain size, further evidence for the importance of defect-generated uncompensated spins.  相似文献

Manipulation of antiferromagnetic (AFM) spins by electrical means is on great demand to develop the AFM spintronics with low power consumption. Here we report a reversible electrical control of antiferromagnetic moments of FeMn up to 15 nm, using an ionic liquid to exert a substantial electric-field effect. The manipulation is demonstrated by the modulation of exchange spring in [Co/Pt]/FeMn system, where AFM moments in FeMn pin the magnetization rotation of Co/Pt. By carrier injection or extraction, the magnetic anisotropy of the top layer in FeMn is modulated to influence the whole exchange spring and then passes its influence to the [Co/Pt]/FeMn interface, through a distance up to the length of exchange spring that fully screens electric field. Comparing FeMn to IrMn, despite the opposite dependence of exchange bias on gate voltages, the same correlation between carrier density and exchange spring stiffness is demonstrated. Besides the fundamental significance of modulating the spin structures in metallic AFM via all-electrical fashion, the present finding would advance the development of low-power-consumption AFM spintronics.  相似文献

Experimental results show that Cu atoms can float out to or segregate to the NiFe/FeMn interface for Ta/NiFe/Cu/NiFe/FeMn/Ta spin-valve multilayers, which results in a drop of the exchange-coupling field (Hex) of NiFe/FeMn in the spin-valve multilayers. However, when a small amount of Bi atoms is deposited between the Cu and the pinned NiFe layers, Cu segregation to the NiFe/FeMn interface can be suppressed.
