Radiotherapy for cancer patients requires accurate measurement of the absorbed dose of radiation in a treatment planning step. Various types of radiation detectors are currently utilized for dose measurement. Among them, calorimeters are known to be the most precise detector for measuring absorbed dose, but their on-site application is limited by the large size of the equipment. We developed a miniaturized chip calorimeter for application as a radiation detector. The calorimetric radiation detector was built using micro/nano fabrication techniques, and consists of an SU-8 photoresist absorber and high-sensitivity vanadium oxide (VOx) thermistors. The thermistors had a temperature resolution of 135 μK, and the calorimeter showed a thermal conductance of 11 μW/K. The detector was irradiated with various X-ray dose rates from a linear accelerator, and the absorbed dose to SU-8 was measured. The detector responses showed high linearity with dose rates, demonstrating the feasibility of the radiation detector for practical uses.  相似文献

The adiabatic calorimetry method is used to measure the isochoric heat capacity and the dew-bubble curves for the methane-normal pentane mixtures in bulk for three different mixture compositions of n-pentane. The near-critical behavior of the mixture heat capacity indicates that at low n-pentane concentrations, this system is close to the special point of the critical locus. The effect of porous medium has been investigated for one of the mixtures studied in bulk. It has been shown that in porous medium the essential shift of the dew-bubble curve takes place. In our opinion this shift is caused by the formation of wetting film on the surface of porous medium. The estimation of film thickness resulting from the data obtained yields the value 7–8 nm.  相似文献

Ternary flame‐retardant modified cyanate ester blends (CEPG and CEPA) are formed by combining triazine compounds (TGIC or TAIC) and 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide with cyanate ester resin. The curing behaviors, thermal and mechanical properties, and the flame‐retardant properties are investigated. The results show that the CEPG and CEPA blends result in lower curing temperatures and glass transition temperatures than those of neat CE. Both of CEPG and CEPA blends significantly improve the flame‐retardant properties of CE resins, and UL‐94V‐0 rate is achieved for CEPG‐1.0 and CEPA‐0.5. The dielectric constant and loss of CEPA blends are lower than those of CEPG blend with the same phosphors content, and both of them are lower than those of neat CE. Therefore, the ternary flame‐retardant modified cyanate ester blends provide 2 ways for composites of producing printed circuit board with high flame‐retardant property and low dielectric constant and loss.  相似文献

A novel efficient halogen-free flame retardant system for polycarbonate   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
A novel silicon- and phosphorus-containing flame retardant, poly (9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide siloxane), P(DOPO-VTES) was synthesized from 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide(DOPO) and vinyltriethoxy silane(VTES). Its chemical structure was confirmed by FTIR. The thermal gravimetrical analysis (TGA) showed that P(DOPO-VTES) had good thermal stability and a high of char yield (86.31%) at 700 °C in nitrogen atmosphere. Its XRD patterns showed that this compound had a certain ordered structure. P(DOPO-VTES) was blended with polycarbonate (PC) together with montmorillonite(MMT) to prepare a series of organic-inorganic hybrids of flame retardant (PC)/P(DOPO-VTES)/MMT via melt blending. The thermal degradation behavior and flame retardancy of those hybrids were investigated with TGA, limiting oxygen index (LOI), vertical burning test (UL-94), and cone calorimeter. The LOI value of the flame-retardant PC systems could reach a maximal value of 32.8 when the content of P(DOPO-VTES) was 5 wt%. When 2 wt% MMT was added into the PC/5%P(DOPO-VTES) system, the UL-94 rating reached V-0. The possible flame retardant mode of MMT was studied via the dynamic rheological properties of the systems and the morphology of the chars remaining after the LOI test and the cone calorimeter test.  相似文献

A high detection efficiency calorimeter which is used to detect γ-rays with energies from 1 MeV up to 10 MeV as well as light charged particles has been proposed. Design of the geometry, results of the crystal tests and Monte Carlo simulations are presented in this paper. The simulation results confirm that the calorimeter can obtain high detection efficiency and good energy resolution with the current designed geometry. And the calorimeter is competent for the future External Target Facility (ETF) experiments.  相似文献

In this work, the measured excess molar enthalpies of absorption heat pump working pairs (refrigerant + absorbent), viz. water + mono-, di- and tri-ethylene glycol, water + glycerol, and ethanol + di- and tri-ethylene glycol mixtures are presented at 298.15 K and ambient pressure using a Setaram Calvet C80 calorimeter. The experimental results are represented and correlated by a Redlich–Kister type equation. Modeling of the excess enthalpies has been performed using the UNIFAC molecular group-contribution method, and UNIQUAC Gibbs energy model. In addition, the data and results are used to predict the Gibbs energy of all binary systems. This allows a preliminary evaluation of the suitability of the binary systems as heat pump working pairs.  相似文献

This paper presents several applications of the PHI-TEC II that are not commonly associated with adiabatic calorimeters but which have proved to be extremely valuable. These include simulation of a deep oil well for enhanced oil recovery, isothermal calorimetry of a semibatch reaction, catalyst research using flow through reactors (both plug flow and CSTR) with controlled feeds of high pressure liquid and gas.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献
