are locally bounded. Here, u describes the height of the water, z is a given function that represents the land elevation and f is a source term accounting for evaporation, infiltration or rainfall.     

Nonlinear obstacle problems with double phase in the borderline case

In this paper we study a double phase problem with an irregular obstacle. The energy functional under consideration is characterized by the fact that both ellipticity and growth switch between a type of polynomial and a type of logarithm, which can be regarded as a borderline case of the double phase functional with $(p,q)$-growth. We obtain an optimal global Calderón–Zygmund type estimate for the obstacle problem with double phase in the borderline case.     

Travelling waves in dilatant non-Newtonian thin films

We prove the existence of a travelling wave solution for a gravity-driven thin film of a viscous and incompressible dilatant fluid coated with an insoluble surfactant. The governing system of second order partial differential equations for the film's height h and the surfactant's concentration γ are derived by means of lubrication theory applied to the non-Newtonian Navier–Stokes equations.     

The pointwise estimates of solutions for a nonlinear convection diffusion reaction equation

This paper studies the time asymptotic behavior of solutions for a nonlinear convection diffusion reaction equation in one dimension.First,the pointwise estimates of solutions are obtained,furthermore,we obtain the optimal L~p,1≤ p ≤ +∞,convergence rate of solutions for small initial data.Then we establish the local existence of solutions,the blow up criterion and the sufficient condition to ensure the nonnegativity of solutions for large initial data.Our approach is based on the detailed analysis of the Green function of the linearized equation and some energy estimates.     

Local regularity criteria of a suitable weak solution to MHD equations

We present a regularity condition of a suitable weak solution to the MHD equations in three dimensional space with slip boundary conditions for a velocity and magnetic vector fields. More precisely, we prove a suitable weak solution are H¨older continuous near boundary provided that the scaled mixed L_(x,t)~(p,q) -norm of the velocity vector field with 3/p + 2/q ≤ 2,2 q ∞ is sufficiently small near the boundary. Also, we will investigate that for this solution u ∈ L_(x,t)~(p,q) with 1≤3/p+2/q≤3/2, 3 p ∞, the Hausdorff dimension of its singular set is no greater than max{p, q}(3/p+2/q-1).     

Subspace arrangements as generalized star configurations

In this note, we show that any projective subspace arrangement can be realized as a generalized star configuration variety. This type of interpolation result may be useful in designing linear codes with prescribed codewords of minimum weight, as well as in answering a couple of questions about the number of equations needed to define a generalized star configuration variety.     

Neumann problems with resonance in the first eigenvalue

The aim of this work is to present results of existence of solutions for a class of superlinear asymmetric elliptic systems with resonance in the first eigenvalue. To obtain these results we apply topological degree theory.     

Hybrid projection methods for equilibrium problems with non‐Lipschitz type bifunctions

Based on the extended extragradient‐like method and the linesearch technique, we propose three projection methods for finding a common solution of a finite family of equilibrium problems. The linesearch used in the proposed algorithms has allowed to reduce some conditions imposed on equilibrium bifunctions. The strongly convergent theorems are established without the Lipschitz‐type condition of bifunctions. The paper also helps in the design and analysis of practical algorithms and gives us a generalization of some previously known problems. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
