For any map Y: YX of spaces, we identify the homotopy type of the fiber of P(f): P(f) P(f) in a stable range, roughly twice the connectivity of the map YX. We establish some language for discussing and manipulating such stable-range relative calculations for any homotopy functor. The theorem about P has a corollary about Waldhausen's A.

Deformed preprojective algebras are generalizations of the usual preprojective algebras introduced by Crawley-Boevey and Holland, which have applications to Kleinian singularities, the Deligne-Simpson problem, integrable systems and noncommutative geometry. In this paper we offer three contributions to the study of such algebras: (1) the 2-Calabi-Yau property; (2) the unification of the reflection functors of Crawley-Boevey and Holland with reflection functors for the usual preprojective algebras; and (3) the classification of tilting ideals in 2-Calabi-Yau algebras, and especially in deformed preprojective algebras for extended Dynkin quivers. 相似文献

We investigate the problem when the strong dual of a projective limit of (LB)-spaces coincides with the inductive limit of the strong duals. It is well-known that the answer is affirmative for spectra of Banach spaces if the projective limit is a quasinormable Fréchet space. In that case, the spectrum satisfies a certain condition which is called strong P-type. We provide an example which shows that strong P-type in general does not imply that the strong dual of the projective limit is the inductive limit of the strong duals, but on the other hand we show that this is indeed true if one deals with projective spectra of retractive (LB)-spaces. Finally, we apply our results to a question of Grothendieck about biduals of (LF)-spaces. 相似文献

The paper establishes, for a wide class of locally compact groupoids Γ, the E-theoretic descent functor at the C∗-algebra level, in a way parallel to that established for locally compact groups by Guentner, Higson and Trout. Section 2 shows that Γ-actions on a C0(X)-algebra B, where X is the unit space of Γ, can be usefully formulated in terms of an action on the associated bundle B?. Section 3 shows that the functor B→C∗(Γ,B) is continuous and exact, and uses the disintegration theory of J. Renault.
