Mathematical Modeling for One New Method of Breaking Ice Cover

Improvement of procedures for preparing Tetrafluoroethane-β-sultone and fluorocarbonyldifluoromethanesulfonyl fluoride

Synthesis of tetrafluoroethane-β-sultone by the reaction of tetrafluoroethylene with sulfuric anhydride and of fluorocarbonyldifluoromethanesulfonyl fluoride by catalytic reaction of tetrafluoroethylene with sulfuric anhydride using BAU-2, SKT-6, or AG-3 activated carbon as catalyst was studied. The possibility of replacing sulfuric anhydride prepared by distillation from oleum by sulfuric anhydride prepared by sulfur dioxide oxidation was demonstrated.     

Synthesis of lupane triterpenoids with triphenylphosphonium substituents and studies of their antitumor activity

New derivatives of lupane triterpenoids, viz., 20,29-dihydrobetulinic and 3-epi-20,29-dihydrobetulinic acid derivatives containing triphenylphosphonium fragments as substituents were synthesized. These compound considerably exceed betulinic acid in antitumor activity.     

7α-alkylation, 7,7-bisalkylation,and reduction of the 20-oxo group of poststerone in reactions with alkyl halides in lithium–ammonia solution

Reactions of poststerone with methyl iodide, allyl bromide, and propargyl bromide in lithium–ammonia solution resulted in its completely stereoselective 7α-alkylation accompanied by reduction of the 20-oxo group with formation of equimolar amounts of 20R- and 20S-hydroxy derivatives. The reaction of poststerone with excess allyl bromide afforded 7,7-bis-allyl 20R- and 20S-alcohols at a ratio of 3: 1. The reduction of the 20-oxo group in the alkylation of poststerone with excess propargyl bromide led to the formation of an equimolar mixture of Δ⁸⁽¹⁴⁾- and Δ⁸⁽⁹⁾-isomers with exclusive S configuration of C²⁰.     

9α-hydroxylation of 25-fluoroponasterone a diacetonide in lithium-ammonia solution

25-Fluoroponasterone A diacetonide reacted with lithium in liquid ammonia to give 25-fluoro-9α,20-dihydroxyecdysone diacetonide whose hydrolysis afforded 25-fluoro-9α,20-dihydroxyecdysone 20,22-acetonide. Nonfluorinated analog of the latter was isolated previously from Silene italica ssp. nemoralis.     

N-Trifluoroacetyl-3a,4,5,9b-tetrahydro-3H-cyclopenta[c]quinoline ozonides

A three-component condensation of aromatic amine, aldehyde, and cyclopentadiene with subsequent N-trifluoroacetylation leads to 4- and 4,8-substituted N-trifluoroacetyl-3a,4,5,9b-tetrahydro-3H-cyclopenta[c]quinolines. Ozonation of the double bond in the latter produced the corresponding isomeric stable ozonides having (1R*,4S*,5aR*,6S*,11bR*)-configuration and differing in inversion at the carboxamide nitrogen atom.
