The statistical mechanics of classical and quantum mechanical systems interacting with many-body forces are investigated in the canonical and grand canonical ensembles. Under various general conditions on the attractive and repulsive parts of the potential energy and on the shapes of the domains k confining the system, it is shown that the canonical free energy per particle and the grand canonical pressure have unique limits for infinite systems which are convex monotonie functions of the specific volume and chemical potential respectively, and satisfy the expected thermodynamic relations.For pure pair forces with potential (r) sufficient conditions are: (r)D

Thermodynamic properties and elastic constants of solid argon have been calculated using an accurate pair-potential together with the Monte Carlo method and the Axilrod-Teller three-body potential. Excellent agreement is obtained with experimental values of the pressure and internal energy. However the calculated elastic constants show systematic deviations from the experimental values. In recent years, magnetic nanoalloys (MNAs) have attracted many attentions from all over the world, due to their potential applications in the broad fields of magneto-optics, data storage, engineering, and biology. Among these MNAs, Pt–M (M = Fe, Co, Ni) MNAs have been considered to be the most promising ones, due to their superparamagnetism and response to a magnetic field. Here, we firstly review the experimental work on the synthesis, characterization, and magnetic properties of Pt–Fe, Pt–Co, and Pt–Ni MNAs. Then, we discuss the recent theoretical work on Pt–Fe, Pt–Co, and Pt–Ni MNAs. Moreover, we also review the main applications of Pt–Fe, Pt–Co, and Pt–Ni MNAs in the fields of biology, information storage, and magnetic separation. It is found that the size, shape, and composition of Pt–Fe, Pt–Co, and Pt–Ni MNAs play a critical role on their fundamental magnetic properties from both the experimental and theoretical points of view. It is expected that this review could be a valuable resource for both experimental and theoretical researchers, who are interested in Pt-based MNAs. 相似文献

In this paper we extend certain central results of zero dimensional systems to higher dimensions. The first main result shows that if (Y,f) is a finitely presented system, then there exists a Smale space (X,F) and a u-resolving factor map π +:X→Y. If the finitely presented system is transitive, then we show there is a canonical minimal u-resolving Smale space extension. Additionally, we show that any finite-to-one factor map between transitive finitely presented systems lifts through u-resolving maps to an s-resolving map. 相似文献
