In this study, a new unified creep constitutive relation and a modified energy-based fatigue model have been established respectively to describe the creep flow and predict the fatigue life of Sn−Pb solders. It is found that the relation successfully elucidates the creep mechanism related to current constitutive relations. The model can be used to describe the temperature and frequency dependent low cycle fatigue behavior of the solder. The relation and the model are further employed in part II to develop the numerical simulation approach for the long-term reliability assessment of the plastic ball grid array (BGA) assembly. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the new bone tissue, comparing two different carriers for rhBMP-2, monoolein and chitosan gels, using the decortication and nondecorticatication surgical technique in rat mandibles, evaluated by histomorphometrical method. It was used 56 male Wistar rats (300g), divided into 8 groups according to the rhBMP-2 carrier used, monoolein or chitosan gels; surgical technique, bone decortication or nondecortication; and period of time, 3 or 6 weeks until the sacrifice by perfusion. Results obtained in this study showed that the rhBMP-2/monoolein and rhBMP-2/chitosan used in this experimental model was able to induce osteogenesis, contributing to the bone healing process. The bone repair process was time dependent, so that at 6 weeks there was an improved amount of new bone in relation to 3 weeks, considered each analyzed group, and the decortication was able to expose the bone marrow and speed up the bone healing process, which was showed by histomorphometrical methods. Both of carriers were capable to adapt to the bone surgical area, according to the clinical observations, and had favorable properties in relation to protein releasing, revealed by the amount of new bone tissue found in the histological analysis.  相似文献

In the present study, a facility, i.e., a mechanical deflection system (MDS), was established and applied to assess the long-term reliability of the solder joints in plastic ball grid array (BGA) assembly. It was found that the MDS not only quickly assesses the long-term reliability of solder joints within days, but can also mimic similar failure mechanisms in accelerated thermal cycling (ATC) tests. Based on the MDS and ATC reliability experiments, the acceleration factors (AF) were obtained for different reliability testing conditions. Furthermore, by using the creep constitutive relation and fatigue life model developed in part I, a numerical approach was established for the purpose of virtual life prediction of solder joints. The simulation results were found to be in good agreement with the test results from the MDS. As a result, a new reliability assessment methodology was established as an alternative to ATC for the evaluation of long-term reliability of plastic BGA assembly. S-factors for direct capture reactions can be found at astrophysical energies from asymptotic normalization coefficients which provide the normalization of the tail of the overlap function. For example the overlap for 8B → 7Be+p defines the S-factor for 7Be (p, γ)8B. Peripheral transfer reactions offer a technique to determine these asymptotic normalization coefficients. As a test of the technique, the 16O(3He, d)17F reaction has been used to determine asymptotic normalization coefficients for transitions to the ground and first excited states of 17F. The S-factors for 16O(p, γ)17F calculated from these 17F → 16O+p asymptotic normalization coefficients are found to be in very good agreement with recent measurements. Following the same technique, the 10B(7Be, 8B)9Be and 14N(7Be, 8B)13C reactions have been used to measure the asymptotic normalization coefficient for 7Be(p, γ)8B. This result provides an indirect determination of S 17(0).  相似文献

The objective of this investigation was to assess the quantity of collagen fibers with different dosages of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein, type 2 (rhBMP-2) associated with two different carriers, monoolein and poloxamer gels, in critical bone defects created in the calvaria of Wistar rats. Forty male adult Wistar rats were divided into eight groups of 5 animals each—group I: critical bone defect with application of 1 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with monoolein gel; group II: 3 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with monoolein gel; group III: 7 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with monoolein gel; group IV: 1 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel; group V: 3 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel; group VI: 7 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel; group VII: monoolein gel only and group VIII: poloxamer gel only. A critical-sized defect of 6 mm diameter was produced in the left parietal bone using a surgical round bur and a high-speed micromotor. The bone defects were filled according to the group that animals belonged and after two weeks the rats were perfused and their calvarial bones were removed for histological processing, and collagen fibers quantification. Differences among the eight groups were statistically analyzed by Anova and Bonferroni test (p < 0.05). The results did not show statistical difference between the groups, in exception, between the comparisons II and III. According to the experimental methodology used in this research, it was observed, in a general way, a qualitative inverse relationship between collagen fibers presence and rhBMP-2 quantity inserted in the critical bone defect, associated or not to a material carrier.  相似文献

The bone morphogenetic protein type 2, is an osteoinduction protein, but new carriers to improve its actions are being studied in recent researches. The objective of this study was to evaluate the poloxamer gel as potential carrier of the rhBMP-2 during the bone healing process and verify if the collagen sponge can improve this process. Fifty-six male Wistar rats were used, which were divided into two groups, considering two periods of time. Thus, each one of these groups was divided in four groups with seven animals each, according to the treatment and the defect filled by 4 microg rhBMP-2 in aqueous solution, 4 microg rhBMP-2 in aqueous solution+collagen sponge, 4 microg rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel, and 4 microg rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel+collagen sponge. After 2 and 4 weeks, respectively, animals were perfused and the hemi-mandibles removed for histological analysis. Statistical analysis of the data showed significant difference between all analyzed groups (p<0.01), and between the periods of time (p=0.0118). There was no interaction between the applied treatment and considered periods of time (p=0.642). Results showed that the rhBMP-2 used in this study was able to induce bone regeneration and had its action optimized when combined to the used carriers, being the bone repair time-dependent.  相似文献
