Specimens of iron-doped indium oxide (In1-xFex)2O3 with x?=?0.015, 0.03, 0.045 and 0.06, amalgamated through a traditional solid-state reaction method followed by H2/air sintering, were characterised using an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to investigate their structural, magnetic and morphological properties respectively. According to XRD plots, all the specimens exhibit cubic bixbyite structures along with ancillary phases. Magnetic assessment showed that In2O3 has a negative susceptibility, exhibiting diamagnetic behaviour at room temperature. The doping of Fe ions induces ferromagnetic (FM) ordering, which is enhanced with increasing doping content. The strength of the magnetisation increases when the specimens are exposed to H2 but is reduced on further air sintering. A bound magnetic polaron (BMP) model is successfully fitted to the observed FM data involving localised carriers and magnetic cations. A multivariate assessment viz. a hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) was used to corroborate and strengthen the experimental determined magnetic properties. A homogeneous particle distribution was observed in all SEM micrographs and is validated through MATLAB-based simulation by applying a watershed segmentation algorithm. Metal embedded in metal oxide nanoparticles are active as catalyst in plethora of industrially important reactions. Herein, embedded Cu@Fe2O3 nanoparticles was synthesized via a one step hydrothermal strategy which selectively catalyzes the hydrogenation of diverse nitroaromatics in H2O at room temperature. The remarkable catalytic performance is due to the successful hybridization of metallic Cu and Fe2O3 which in turn allows easy electroflipping between various oxidation states of Cu and Fe. Azo- and azoxy-compounds are not formed during the catalyzed process. This evidently establish that the hydrogenation of nitroaromatics proceeds via direct route with >99% selectivity to the corresponding anilines. 相似文献

Andrographis paniculata Nees is an annual erect herb with wide medicinal and pharmacological applications due to the presence of andrographolide and other active chemical constituents. The large-scale cultivation of the kalmegh is not in practice. The aim of this study was to establish sustainable production systems of A. paniculata cv CIM-Megha with the application of different bioinoculants and chemical fertilisers. A. paniculata herb and andrographolide yield in the dried leaves was found to be highest (218% and 61.3%, respectively) in treatment T3 (NPK+Bacillus sp.) compared with T1 (control). The soil organic carbon, soil microbial respiration, soil enzymes activity and available nutrients improved significantly with combined application of bioinoculants and chemical fertilisers. 相似文献

Background
The carbapenem subclass of β-lactams is among the most potent antibiotics available today. Emerging evidence shows that, unlike other subclasses of β-lactams, carbapenems bind to and inhibit non-classical transpeptidases (L,D-transpeptidases) that generate 3 → 3 linkages in bacterial peptidoglycan. The carbapenems biapenem and tebipenem exhibit therapeutically valuable potencies against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb).Results
Here, we report the X-ray crystal structures of Mtb L,D-transpeptidase-2 (LdtMt2) complexed with biapenem or tebipenem. Despite significant variations in carbapenem sulfur side chains, biapenem and tebipenem ultimately form an identical adduct that docks to the outer cavity of LdtMt2. We propose that this common adduct is an enzyme catalyzed decomposition of the carbapenem adduct by a mechanism similar to S-conjugate elimination by β-lyases.Conclusion
The results presented here demonstrate biapenem and tebipenem bind to the outer cavity of LdtMt2, covalently inactivate the enzyme, and subsequently degrade via an S-conjugate elimination mechanism. We discuss structure based drug design based on the findings and propose that the S-conjugate elimination can be leveraged to design novel agents to deliver and locally release antimicrobial factors to act synergistically with the carbapenem carrier.9.

MXenes, due to their tailorable chemistry and favourable physical properties, have great promise in electrocatalytic energy conversion reactions. To exploit fully their enormous potential, further advances specific to electrocatalysis revolving around their performance, stability, compositional discovery and synthesis are required.
