Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF),like many other additive manufacturing techniques,offers flexibility in design expected to become a disruption to the manufacturing industry.The current cost of LPBF process does not favor a try-anderror way of research,which makes modelling and simulation a field of superior importance in that area of engineering.In this work,various methods used to overcome challenges in modeling at different levels of approximation of LPBF process are reviewed.Recent efforts made towards a reliable and computationally effective model to simulate LPBF process using finite element(FE)codes are presented.A combination of ray-tracing technique,the solution of the radiation transfer equation and absorption measurements has been used to establish an analytical equation,which gives a more accurate approximation of laser energy deposition in powder-substrate configuration.When this new analytical energy deposition model is used in in FE simulation,with other physics carefully set,it enables us to get reliable cooling curves and melt track morphology that agree well with experimental observations.The use of more computationally effective approximation,without explicit topological changes,allows to simulate wider geometries and longer scanning time leading to many applications in real engineering world.Different applications are herein presented including:prediction of printing quality through the simulated overlapping of consecutive melt tracks,simulation of LPBF of a mixture of materials and estimation of martensite inclusion in printed steel.  相似文献

The photo-induced generation of unstable molecules generally requires stringent conditions to prevent oxidation and the concomitant decomposition of the products. The visible-light-induced conversion of two heptacene precursors to heptacene was studied. Single crystals of bis- and mono-α-diketone-type heptacene precursors ( 7-DK2 and 7-DK1 , respectively), were prepared to investigate the effect of precursor structure on reactivity. The photoirradiation of a 7-DK2 single crystal cleaved only one α-diketone group, forming an intermediate bearing a pentacene subunit, while that of a 7-DK1 single crystal gave rise to characteristic absorption peaks of heptacene and their increase in intensity with photoirradiation time, indicating the generation of heptacene without decomposition. Heptacene production was not observed when the precursors were photoirradiated in solution, implying that the single crystal interior provided isolation from the external environment, thus preventing heptacene oxidation.  相似文献

The nonlinear frequency response analysis (NFRA) can be seen as an extension of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. NFRA gives a full and detailed representation of the system response and can establish a connection between model parameters and the experimentally observed phenomena. In this article, different theoretical NFRA approaches and the most recent application examples are discussed. A simple electrochemical example is used to showcase the benefits and disadvantages of analyzing the system response by using different approaches. In addition, it was shown how to extract experimental harmonic values and analyze them.  相似文献

We report a rationally designed membrane-intercalating conjugated oligoelectrolyte (COE), namely COE-IC , which endows aerobic N2-fixing bacteria Azotobacter vinelandii with a light-harvesting ability that enables photosynthetic ammonia production. COE-IC possesses an acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A) type conjugated core, which promotes visible light absorption with a high molar extinction coefficient. Furthermore, COE-IC spontaneously associates with A. vinelandii to form a biohybrid in which the COE is intercalated within the lipid bilayer membrane. In the presence of L-ascorbate as a sacrificial electron donor, the resulting COE-IC /A. vinelandii biohybrid showed a 2.4-fold increase in light-driven ammonia production, as compared to the control. Photoinduced enhancement of bacterial biomass and production of L-amino acids is also observed. Introduction of isotopically enriched 15N2 atmosphere led to the enrichment of 15N-containing intracellular metabolites, consistent with the products being generated from atmospheric N2.  相似文献

A well-defined AB diblock copolymer of 2-vinyl-4,4-dimethylazlactone (VDA) and N,N-dimethylacrylamide (DMA) was generated by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) radical polymerization. The VDA-DMA diblock copolymer was reacted with 2-(methylthio)ethylamine (MTEA) and 3-(methylthio)propylamine (MTPA) to yield two novel thioether functional diblock copolymers whose structure was confirmed using 1H NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. Both diblock copolymers formed micelles (20–30 nm) in aqueous media as confirmed by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy. The self-assembled micelles were loaded with Nile Red, a model hydrophobic drug to study their ROS-triggered release mechanism. On addition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), the most common ROS species, the hydrophobic thioether core of these micelles oxidized, and both diblock copolymers became more hydrophilic. This triggered their disassembly and subsequent cargo release as characterized by UV–visible spectroscopy. The Nile Red loaded micelles demonstrated similar in-vitro ROS-mediated release when exposed to endogenous oxidants in a model inflammation environment simulated by the presence of activated macrophages. The responsive nanomaterials developed in this article have promising potential as drug carriers in applications where ROS-triggered delivery of cargo is required such as in inflammatory conditions.  相似文献

The challenging synthesis of a laterally extended heptazethrene molecule, the super‐heptazethrene derivative SHZ‐CF3 , is reported. This molecule was prepared using a strategy involving a multiple selective intramolecular Friedel–Crafts alkylation followed by oxidative dehydrogenation. Compound SHZ‐CF3 exhibits an open‐shell singlet diradical ground state with a much larger diradical character compared with the heptazethrene derivatives. An intermediate dibenzo‐terrylene SHZ‐2H was also obtained during the synthesis. This study provides a new synthetic method to access large‐size quinoidal polycyclic hydrocarbons with unique physical properties.  相似文献
