Powder and wire deposition have been used separately in many laser-cladding, rapid prototyping and other additive manufacturing applications. In this paper, a new approach is investigated by simultaneously feeding powder from a coaxial nozzle and wire from an off-axis nozzle into the deposition melt pool. Multilayer parts are built from 316L steel using a 1.5 kW diode laser and different configurations of the powder and wire nozzles are compared in terms of surface roughness, deposition rate, porosity and microstructure. The parts are analysed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and optical microscopy techniques. Results show that deposition efficiency increased and surface roughness decreased with the combined process; some porosity was present in samples produced by this method, but it was 20-30% less than in samples produced by powder alone. Wire injection angles into the melt pool in both horizontal and vertical planes were found to be significant for attaining high deposition efficiency and good surface quality. Reasons for the final sample characteristics and differences between the combined process and the separate powder and wire feeding techniques are discussed.  相似文献

基于充模过程的两相黏弹性流体模型, 采用同位网格有限体积法, 结合浸入边界法和界面追踪的复合水平集流体体积方法实现了带嵌件型腔内充模过程的动态模拟. 基于上述模型和算法模拟了熔体前沿界面及熔接线的动态演化过程, 而且通过线性应力-光学定律得到了熔接线附近的流动诱导应力分布情况; 讨论了熔体温度及模具温度对熔接线区域凝固层厚度的影响. 数值结果表明: 本文提出的方法可用于模拟复杂型腔内的充模过程以及熔接线的自动追踪; 由于聚合物黏弹性熔体流动的复杂性, 当两股熔体相遇后, 熔接线不同位置的应力分布变化较大; 熔体或模具温度越高, 熔接线区域凝固层厚度越薄, 提高熔体或模具温度能够改善甚至消除充模过程中的熔接线.  相似文献

The flow properties and substrate deposition rate profile, which are the important parameters in electron beam physical vapor deposition, are investigated computationally in this article.Collimators are used to achieve the desired vapor beam and deposition rate profile in some applications.This increases the difficulty measuring boundary conditions and the size of the liquid metal pool inside the collimators.It is accordingly hard to obtain accurate results from numerical calculations.In this article, two-dimensional direct simulation Monte Carlo(DSMC) codes are executed to quantify the influence of uncertainties of boundary conditions and pool sizes.Then, three-dimensional DSMC simulations are established to simulate cerium and neodymium evaporation with the collimator.Experimental and computational results of substrate deposition rate profile are in excellent agreement at various evaporation rates and substrate heights.The results show that the DSMC method can assist in metal evaporation with a collimator.  相似文献

 使用Monte-Carlo程序MCNP在2维情况下模拟得到了高能通量脉冲电子束在钽金属靶中的能量沉积。根据能量沉积的模拟结果以及实验后靶上穿孔的大小和形貌,提出了电子束对不同结构钽金属靶破坏的物理机制。由于能量沉积的差异,1 mm实心靶中的热激波在一定时间内沿径向和轴向持续对靶材进行压缩,而在叠靶中这种压缩效果并不明显,因此实验后1 mm实心靶上穿孔的大小几乎是叠靶上的两倍。根据理论模型分析得到的靶材熔融喷射和层裂现象与实验结果相吻合。  相似文献

In the present studies we investigate the connection between atomistic simulation methods, i.e. molecular dynamics (MD) and phase-field crystal (PFC), to the mesoscopic phase-field methods (PFM). While the first describes the evolution of a system on the basis of motion equations of particles the second uses a Cahn–Hilliard type equation to described an atomic density field and the third grounds on the evolution of continuous local order parameter field. The first aim is to point out the ability of the mesoscopic phase-field method to make predictions of growth velocity at the nanoscopic length scale. Therefore the isothermal growth of a spherical crystalline cluster embedded in a melt is considered. We also show simulation techniques that enable to computationally bridge from the atomistic up to the mesoscopic scale. We use a PFM to simulate symmetric thermal dendrites started at an early stage of solidification related to nucleation. These techniques allow to simulate three dimensional dendrites from the state of nuclei (≈50?Å) converted from MD up to a size of some μm where ternary side-arms start to grow.  相似文献

Modern engineering applications are in need for technologies of nanostructures and nanofilms with controllable properties. The detection of these structures requires methods of atomic research, among which are molecular dynamics techniques, Monte-Carlo simulation, and ab initio calculation. The most efficient method to deal with systems of about several thousands of atoms is molecular dynamics simulation. We used this method to analyze the formation of nanolayers on a Cu substrate in vapor deposition of Cu atoms. It is shown that the film deposited on the substrate surface replicates the crystalline structure of the substrate. It is found that at low deposition temperatures, the deposited layer reveals a great quantity of vacancies and vacancy clusters (nanopores). It is demonstrated that increasing the substrate temperature in metal vapor deposition ensures a more perfect lattice in the nanocoating, and the cohesive energy of atoms in the nanolayer thus approximates experimental values. It is also found that the increase in substrate temperature in the process causes Young’s modulus and elastic limit to tend to the values of a perfect crystal.  相似文献

为深入理解ArF准分子激光系统的运转机制,进而获得优化ArF准分子激光系统设计的理论及方向性指导,利用一维流体模型,以气体高压放电等离子体深紫外激光辐射过程为主要对象,研究了放电抽运ArF准分子激光系统的动力学特性,梳理了ArF准分子激光系统的能量传递过程,深入研究了等离子体放电机理,从能量沉积效率、ArF*粒子形成过程、激光输出三个方面,分析了动力学过程中影响能量效率的主要因素,提出了相应的改进优化措施.仿真结果表明,氟气及相关粒子在系统运转过程中有重要作用,工作气体中氟气的组分比例对能量效率影响较大,偏离最佳点会导致激光系统能量效率的下降.相关结论为ArF准分子激光系统的优化设计和稳定可靠运转提供了重要的理论参考依据.  相似文献

The stationary, spherically symmetric accretion of dark energy onto a Schwarzschild black hole is considered in terms of relativistic hydrodynamics. The approximation of an ideal fluid is used to model the dark energy. General expressions are derived for the accretion rate of an ideal fluid with an arbitrary equation of state p = p(ρ) onto a black hole. The black hole mass was found to decrease for the accretion of phantom energy. The accretion process is studied in detail for two dark energy models that admit an analytical solution: a model with a linear equation of state, p = α(ρ ? ρ0), and a Chaplygin gas. For one of the special cases of a linear equation of state, an analytical expression is derived for the accretion rate of dark energy onto a moving and rotating black hole. The masses of all black holes are shown to approach zero in cosmological models with phantom energy in which the Big Rip scenario is realized.  相似文献

Ultrasonic methods are well known as powerful and reliable tool for defect detection. In the previous decades focus and interest have been directed to non-contact sensors and methods, showing many advantages over contact techniques where inspection depends on contact conditions (pressure, coupling medium, contact area). The non-contact hybrid ultrasonic method described here is of interest for many applications, requiring periodic inspection in service or after manufacturing. Despite the potential impact of laser-generated ultrasound in many areas of industry, robust tools for studying the phenomenon are lacking and thus limit the design and optimization of non-destructive testing and evaluation techniques. Here a specific numerical method is presented to efficiently and accurately solve ultrasound wave propagation problems with frequencies in the MHz range traveling in relatively large bodies and through air. This work improves a previous numerical model where propagation of the acoustic waves through air had not been considered, allowing us to simulate the presence of a non-contact transducer in reception in order to simulate numerically the complete experimental setup. It is very important to limit the amount of air to be considered in the FE analyses; otherwise the computational cost would often exceed the resources available. A way to solve the problem is to implement non-reflecting boundary conditions. A non-reflecting boundary condition allows all outgoing waves to exit the domain at the boundary where they have been imposed without reflection; thus, it is possible to model only the portion of air between the non-contact transducer and the solid under testing. Several numerical and experimental analyses were conducted on a 136 lb AREMA rail; here we study in detail two fully non-contact testing configurations for the rail head and web. The information that can be acquired is very valuable for choosing the right setup and configuration when performing non-contact hybrid ultrasonic inspection.  相似文献

Based on the boundary-value problem for the transport equation, the angular distributions of photoelectrons are analyzed using the method of invariant immersion. Monte Carlo (MC) simulation of the process of photoelectron emission is carried out. The determining influence of the process of multiple elastic scattering on the photoelectron spectra is shown. Simple analytical formulas for the angular distributions of photoelectrons are obtained in the small-angle approximation. 采用自适应有限元方法求解了相场模型的控制方程,利用自适应有限元法在求解效率和精度上的优势,模拟了计算域较大,界面层厚度较薄的情况下镍过冷熔体中单个完整等轴晶的演化过程,使相场模型模拟结果更接近于真实物理模型,并探讨了二次枝晶臂的演化机理.模拟结果表明,二次枝晶臂的演化主要由热扩散控制,并受随机扰动影响,在四个象限内呈现出不对称生长.同时,受枝晶臂生长时排出的潜热积聚作用,同一侧的枝晶臂对新的二次枝晶臂的产生有促进作用.此外,二次枝晶臂出现合并、缩颈熔断、轴向熔化和径向熔化等四种粗化方式. 关键词: 自由枝晶生长 相场 自适应有限元法  相似文献

In this paper, an analytical approach based on ballistic current transport is presented to investigate the electrical characteristics of the coaxial nanowire field effect transistor (CNWFET). The potential distribution along the nanowire is derived analytically by applying Laplace equation. In addition to application of WKB approximation and ballistic transport, tunneling process and quantum state of energy are implemented to determine the amount of electron transport along the nanowire from the source to the drain terminals. To consider the tunneling phenomena, WKB approximation is used and the transmission coefficients on both sides of the channel are obtained separately. In ballistic regime, an expression for channel current in terms of the bias voltages and Schottky barrier height (SBH) is derived. The results confirm a close correlation between the current equation of this work and the results presented via other approaches.  相似文献

The manipulation of matter at the nanoscale has unleashed a great potential for engineering biomedical drug carriers, but the transport of nanoparticles (NPs) under nanoscale confinement is still poorly understood. Using colloidal physics to describe NP interactions, we have computationally studied the passive transport of NPs using experimentally relevant conditions from bulk into a nanochannel of 60–90 nm height. NP size, channel height, and the Debye length are comparable so that changes in nanoscale dimensions may induce substantial changes in NP transport kinetics. We show that subtle changes in nanochannel dimensions may alter the energy barrier by about six orders of magnitude resulting in different NP penetration depths and diffusion mechanisms: ballistic, first-order and quasi zero-order transport regimes. The analysis of NP diffusion by continuum methods reveals that apparent diffusivity is reduced by decreasing channel size. The continuum finite element (FE) numerical method reproduced the colloidal model results only when surface interactions were accounted for. These results give a new insight into NP passive transport at the boundaries of nanoconfined domains, and have implications on the design of nanoscale fluidics and NP systems for biomedical and engineering applications.  相似文献

A table-top micro X-ray fluorescence apparatus composed of a conventional X-ray tube with a polycapillary lens and a silicon drift X-ray detector was parametrized according to an independent parameter approach. The tube bremsstrahlung spectrum was calculated from the Bethe-Heitler equation, convoluted by the energy distribution of radiating electrons in the target. In this paper, we propose a simple analytical approximation for this energy distribution. An analytical approximation is also proposed for transmission of the lens composed of curved capillaries.  相似文献

合金凝固过程中存在于枝晶尖端液相区的强制对流和自然对流均能改变溶质扩散层厚度,从而会对枝晶形貌产生较大影响.在元胞自动机模型基础上,耦合液体流动方程、热传导方程和溶质对流扩散方程,建立了新的计算微观组织演化的数值模型,并利用该模型研究了强制对流和自然对流对枝晶生长的影响.三维数值模拟结果再现了强制对流作用下等轴枝晶的生长过程,揭示了强制对流对枝晶生长速率和尖端半径的影响特点.同时利用该模型模拟了NH4Cl-H2O溶液定向凝固过程中自然对流对柱状晶生长的影响,并采用相应的实验进行验证.模拟结果与实验结果符合良好,从而证明该模型是可靠的,可推广到实际合金系中. 关键词: 元胞自动机 对流 4Cl-H2O溶液')" href="#">NH4Cl-H2O溶液 定向凝固  相似文献
