This study focuses on the experimental realization of the fractional-order FitzHugh–Nagumo (FHN) neuron model. Firstly, a second-order approximation function is included to the FHN neuron model to satisfy the fractional-order definition. Since these approximation functions can meet the response of the ideal system only in a limited frequency band, the identification of their center frequency is very critical. Thus, the center frequency ‘ωc’ of this second-order approximation functions is swept until getting the spiking responses of this neuron model for the first time in this study. After the center frequency is determined, this approximation function is transferred into the ‘z’ domain by employing the Tustin discretization operator. This achieved discrete defined and fractional-order FHN neuron model becomes suitable for implementation on the digital platforms. To verify the proficiency of the proposed sweeping process experimentally, the fractional-order FHN model in ‘z’ domain is implemented on the FPGA platform. After these applications, the order of the approximation function is reduced to one. Once this followed frequency sweeping process is repeated for the first-order approximation, the fractional-order FHN neuron model, which is built by this least-order approximation function, is also implemented with the FPGA. Therefore, the reductions of the device utilization amounts by using this least-order approximation function and the importance of the specific frequency identification process are seen clearly.

This article presents a correction method for a better resolution of the problem of estimating and predicting pollution, governed by Burgers' equations. The originality of the method consists in the introduction of an error function into the system's equations of state to model uncertainty in the model. The initial conditions and diffusion coefficients, present in the equations for pollution and concentration, and also those in the model error equations, are estimated by solving a data assimilation problem. The efficiency of the correction method is compared with that produced by the traditional method without introduction of an error function.Three test cases are presented in this study in order to compare the performances of the proposed methods. In the first two tests, the reference is the analytical solution and the last test is formulated as part of the “twin experiment”.The numerical results obtained confirm the important role of the model error equation for improving the prediction capability of the system, in terms of both accuracy and speed of convergence.  相似文献

In this work, a series of 2-chalcogenylindoles was synthesized by an efficient methodology, starting from chalcogenoalkynes, including a previously unreported tellurium indole derivative. For the first time, these 2-substituted chalcogenylindoles were obtained in the absence of metal catalyst or base, under thermal conditions only. The manufacture of three‐dimensional patterned electroactive poly(vinylidene fluoride‐co‐chlorotrifluoroethylene) microstructures with tailored architecture, morphology, and wettability is presented. Benznidazole (BNZ) and nifurtimox are the only drugs available for treating Chagas disease. In this work, we validated a bioanalytical method for the quantification of BNZ in plasma aimed at improving sensitivity and time of analysis compared with the assays already published. Furthermore, we demonstrated the application of the method in a preclinical pharmacokinetic study after administration of a single oral dose of BNZ in Wistar rats. A Waters® Acquity UHPLC system equipped with a UV–vis detector was employed. The method was established using an Acquity® UHPLC HSS SB C18 protected by an Acquity® UHPLC HSS SB C18 VanGuard guard column and detection at 324 nm. The mobile phase consisted of ultrapure water–acetonitrile (65:35), and elution was isocratic. The mobile phase flow rate was 0.55 mL/min, the volume of injection was 1 μL, and the run time was just 2 min. The samples were kept at 25°C until injection and the column at 45°C for the chromatographic separation. The sample preparation was performed by a rapid protein precipitation with acetonitrile. The linear concentration range was 0.15–20 µg/mL. The pharmacokinetic parameters of BNZ in rats were determined and the method was considered sensitive, fast and suitable for application in pharmacokinetic studies.
