L-argininato copper(II) complexes in solution exert significant selective anticancer and antimicrobial activities

A search for new drugs that overcome the multidrug resistance of microorganisms or are effective against cancer cells prompted us to investigate the binary and ternary Cu(II) complexes containing L-arginine, [CuCl(L-Arg)(phen)]Cl·2H₂O (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) ( 1 ) and [Cu(L-Arg)₂(H₂O)]C₂O₄·6H₂O ( 2 ), for which crystal and molecular structures were characterized previously. In order to discuss the biological function, the complexes have been screened for their antitumor activity against A549 (human lung cancer cells), HepG2 (human liver hepatocellular carcinoma cells) and antimicrobial activity. To identify the complexes forms existing in the solutions of 1 and 2 crystals, the results obtained from EPR, NIR–Vis–UV and MS (mass spectrometry) measurements were correlated with those from analysis of potentiometric titration of Cu(II)―L-Arg and Cu(II)―L-Arg―phen systems. This comprehensive study indicated that the [Cu(L-Arg)(phen)]²⁺ and [Cu(L-Arg)₂]²⁺ species are dominant in the solution. Complexes 1 and 2 were found to present specific ligand-dependent cytotoxic and antiproliferative potential against cancer cells. They also show antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as display antifungal properties.

基于吲哚啉的Cu催化不对称炔丙基烷基化及DDQ脱氢策略,成功合成了手性N-炔丙基吲哚化合物.通过使用一个结构刚性的酮亚胺三齿P,N,N-配体,反应获得了很好的对映选择性.该方法反应条件温和、底物适用范围广、产物收率高、立体选择性好,为手性N-炔丙基吲哚化合物的合成提供了一条简捷、高效的新途径.     

含氟CaO-P2O5-SiO2-Na2O-B2O3玻璃陶瓷的制备及性能表征

采用溶胶-凝胶法制备CaO-P₂O₅-SiO₂-Na₂O-B₂O₃体系前驱体粉末,用CaF₂替代部分CaO再次制备前驱体粉末。 通过TG-DSC分析确定结晶温度为865 ℃,经过热处理获得主晶相为Na₆Ca₃Si₆O₁₈的玻璃陶瓷。 通过X射线衍射(XRD)、傅里叶红外光谱(FTIR)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)等技术手段及体外生物活性实验分析玻璃陶瓷的显微结构及性能。 结果表明,CaF₂的加入能提高玻璃陶瓷的体积密度、抗折强度和弹性模量,并且不会破坏玻璃陶瓷的生物活性。
