Two lower bounds for the Stanley depth of monomial ideals

Let be two monomial ideals of the polynomial ring . In this paper, we provide two lower bounds for the Stanley depth of . On the one hand, we introduce the notion of lcm number of , denoted by , and prove that the inequality holds. On the other hand, we show that , where denotes the order dimension of the lcm lattice of . We show that I and satisfy Stanley's conjecture, if either the lcm number of I or the order dimension of the lcm lattice of I is small enough. Among other results, we also prove that the Stanley–Reisner ideal of a vertex decomposable simplicial complex satisfies Stanley's conjecture.     

Cohen–Macaulayness and Limit Behavior of Depth for Powers of Cover Ideals

Let 𝕂 be a field, and let R = 𝕂[x ₁,…, x _n ] be the polynomial ring over 𝕂 in n indeterminates x ₁,…, x _n . Let G be a graph with vertex-set {x ₁,…, x _n }, and let J be the cover ideal of G in R. For a given positive integer k, we denote the kth symbolic power and the kth bracket power of J by J ^(k) and J ^[k], respectively. In this paper, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for R/J ^k , R/J ^(k), and R/J ^[k] to be Cohen–Macaulay. We also study the limit behavior of the depths of these rings.     

A novel heterogeneous nanocatalyst: 2‐Methoxy‐1‐phenylethanone functionalized MCM‐41 supported Cu(II) complex for C‐S coupling of aryl halides with thiourea

An environmentally friendly copper‐based catalyst supported on 2‐Methoxy‐1‐phenylethanone functionalized MCM‐41 was prepared and characterized by FT‐IR, FE‐SEM, TEM, XRD, EDX, BET and ICP techniques. The catalyst was applied for the C?S cross‐coupling reaction of aryl halides with thiourea. Corresponding products were produced in good yields in aerobic conditions. The catalyst could be recovered and recycled for several times.     

A study of the electrochemical behavior of an oxadiazole derivative electrodeposited on multi-wall carbon nanotube-modified electrode and its application as a hydrazine sensor

In this study, an oxadiazole multi-wall carbon nanotube-modified glassy carbon electrode (OMWCNT?GCE) was used as a highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for hydrazine determination. The surface charge transfer rate constant, k _s, and the charge transfer coefficient, ??, for electron transfer between GCE and electrodeposited oxadiazole were calculated as 19.4?±?0.5?s^?1 and 0.51, respectively at pH?=?7.0. The obtained results indicate that hydrazine peak potential at OMWCNT?GCE shifted for 14, 109, and 136?mV to negative values as compared with oxadiazole-modified GCE, MWCNT?GCE, and activated GCE surface, respectively. The electron transfer coefficient, ??, and the heterogeneous rate constant, k??, for the oxidation of hydrazine at OMWCNT?GCE were also determined by cyclic voltammetry measurements. Two linear dynamic ranges of 0.6 to 10.0???M and 10.0 to 400.0???M and detection limit of 0.17???M for hydrazine determination were evaluated using differential pulse voltammetry. In addition, OMWCNT?GCE was shown to be successfully applied to determine hydrazine in various water samples.     

Influence of polymeric coating on capillary electrophoresis of iron oxide nanoparticles

In this work, electrophoresis was successfully used to separate three different polymer-coated magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles with similar sizes (nominally 50 nm) using high-pH borate buffer system. The coating polymers were dextran, polyethylene glycol, or carboxymethyl dextran. The results showed that the migration time of carboxymethyl dextran coated nanoparticles is the longest due to relatively more negative surface charges. Investigation of the effects of buffer concentration, pH, electric field strength and the capillary temperature, on electrophoretic properties of samples was also carried out. The results showed that pH, electric field strength and the capillary temperature had indirect relations with both of the migration time and the separation resolution of three different polymer-coated nanoparticles while the buffer concentration had a direct relation.     

Diffeomorphisms with <Emphasis Type="Italic">L</Emphasis><Superscript><Emphasis Type="Italic">p</Emphasis></Superscript>-shadowing property

We give a characterization of structurally stable diffeomorphisms by making use of the notion of L ^p -shadowing property. More precisely, we prove that the set of structurally stable diffeomorphisms coincides with the C ¹-interior of the set of diffeomorphisms having L ^p -shadowing property.

Electrochemical Determination of Dextromethorphan on Reduced Graphene Oxide Modified Screen‐Printed Electrode after Electromembrane Extraction

In this paper, electromembrane extraction coupled with differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) on a reduced graphene oxide modified screen‐printed carbon electrode (RGO‐SPCE) for the determination of dextromethorphan (DXM) in urine and plasma has been described. DXM migrated from 4 mL of a donor phase across a thin layer of 2‐nitrophenyl octyl ether (NPOE) immobilized in the pores of a porous hollow fiber, into a 20 µL acceptor phase (HCl) present inside the lumen of the fiber. Then, 15 µL of a 0.1 M NaOH solution was added to the acceptor phase and the mixture was analyzed using DPV.     

On shadowing: Ordinary and ergodic

The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of ergodic shadowing for a continuous onto map which is equivalent to the map being topologically mixing and has the ordinary shadowing property. In particular, we deduce the chaotic behavior of a map with ergodic shadowing property. Moreover, we define some kind of specification property and investigate its relation to the ergodic shadowing property.
