The sufficient amounts of bis(salicylaldehyde) thiocarbohydrazone (STCH) as a lipophilic selective element (3%, w/w), sodium nitrobenzene (NB) as a plasticizer (64%, w/w), tetraphenyl borate (NaTPB) as an anionic additive (3%, w/w), and poly vinyl chloride (PVC) as a polymeric matrix (30%, w/w) was employed to form a PVC membrane of a new Pr3+ ions selective sensor to apply as an indicator electrode in analytical applications. The best electrode response was observed in the slope (19.5 ± 0.7 mV per decade) over a wide concentrations from lower (1.0 × 10?6 mol L–1) to higher (1.0 × 10?2 mol L–1) of Pr3+ ion solution with a detection limit of 8.5 × 10–7 mol L–1. This electrode showed the fast response time about 10 second for praseodymium ion concentration range of 1.0 × 10–6 to 1.0 × 10–2 mol L–1, in the pH range of 2.3–7.9. The matched potential method was applied to study the selectivity of electrode toward Pr3+ ions in comparison with many common cations. The results showed the negligible disturbance of all other cations on the proposed praseodymium(III) electrode. The making sensor has been employed successfully as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of praseodymium(III) solution with EDTA at pH 6.0. Moreover the applicability of the sensor was studied in determination of Pr3+ ion in mixtures of different ions.  相似文献

Rising fuel costs and efforts for reducing greenhouse gases have led researchers to propose optimized models of combustion which have high efficiency and low emissions. Reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) engines are attractive due to their high efficiency and low NOx and soot emissions over a wide range of operating conditions. In this study, methane and n-heptane are used as low and high reactive fuels, respectively, to create suitable fuel stratification within the cylinder. Modeling is carried out by AVL FIRE coupled with a chemical kinetics solver to investigate the effects of fuel ratio, initial temperature and equivalence ratio on the combustion performance and emission characteristics. Methane/n-heptane ratios are varied according to the energy ratio of each fuel while total input energy and total equivalence ratios are fixed. By increasing methane energy ratio from 65% to 85% in the constant intake temperature and pressure, the mixture Octane number increases, which would lead to an increase in ignition delay up to 5 crank angles. As a result, IMEP would be enhanced and also NOx emission decreases because of lower combustion temperature. By increasing intake temperature, the maximum in-cylinder pressure, heat release rate and NOx emission would increase significantly while soot emission decreases, and also ringing intensity increases up to 10%. On the other hand, increasing intake temperature reduces volumetric efficiency; as a result, IMEP is reduced by 11%. Also by increasing equivalence ratio from 0.35 to 0.55 in a constant energy ratio, noticeable growth in the maximum amount of pressure and temperature could be achieved; consequently, NOx emission would increase significantly, IMEP increases by 43%, and ISFC decreases by 30%. The results indicate that these parameters have significant effects on the heavy-duty RCCI engine performance and emissions.

Despite its potential advantages for fMRI analysis, fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering suffers from limitations such as the need for a priori knowledge of the number of clusters, and unknown statistical significance and instability of the results. We propose a randomization-based method to control the false-positive rate and estimate statistical significance of the FCM results. Using this novel approach, we develop an fMRI activation detection method. The ability of the method in controlling the false-positive rate is shown by analysis of false positives in activation maps of resting-state fMRI data. Controlling the false-positive rate in FCM allows comparison of different fuzzy clustering methods, using different feature spaces, to other fMRI detection methods. In this article, using simulation and real fMRI data, we compare a novel feature space that takes the variability of the hemodynamic response function into account (HRF-based feature space) to the conventional cross-correlation analysis and FCM using the cross-correlation feature space. In both cases, the HRF-based feature space provides a greater sensitivity compared to the cross-correlation feature space and conventional cross-correlation analysis. Application of the proposed method to finger-tapping fMRI data, using HRF-based feature space, detected activation in sub-cortical regions, whereas both of the FCM with cross-correlation feature space and the conventional cross-correlation method failed to detect them.  相似文献
