Thermochemical properties of new N,O-chelate Sc, Eu, and Tb complexes for OLED-devices

A new class of Sc, Eu, and Tb complexes with N,O-chelate ligands was synthesized for the first time. The mass spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry data, as well as the data on the saturated vapor pressure of the compounds were obtained. The main thermochemical parameters of the compounds were calculated.     

Electronic effects of 2-azasilatran-3-one groups

1-Phenyl-2-azasilatran-3-ones have been studied by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. The π-accepting ability of 2-azasilatran-3-one groups is substantially lower and their σ-donating ability is higher than those of (acetamido)diethoxysilyl groups of the model tetracoordinated compounds.     

Equilibrium problem for a Timoshenko plate with an oblique crack

The condition of mutual nonpenetration of the crack faces is proposed for a Timoshenko plate with an oblique crack, whose initial state is defined by a surface the normal to which makes a small angle with the middle plane. Unique solvability of the variational problem of plate equilibrium with the nonpenetration conditions for the crack faces specified on the curve describing the crack is proved. A differential formulation of the problem equivalent to the original formulation for sufficiently smooth solutions is proposed. For the one-dimensional case (beam with a cut), an analytical solution is obtained, and the cases of longitudinal tension and compression are examined.     

The new frozen spin target at MAMI

The new frozen spin polarized target for experiments at the polarized beam of the real photon facility A2 of the MAMI accelerator is described. The A2-collaboration at the Mainz Microtron MAMI is measuring photon absorption cross section using circularly and linearly polarized photons up to the energy of 1.5 GeV. The photons are produced in the’ Bremsstrahlungs’ process. In the years 2005/2006 the Crystal Ball detector with its unique capability to cope with multi photon final states was set up in Mainz. Since 2010 the experimental apparatus has been completed by a polarized target. The horizontal dilution refrigerator of the Frozen-Spin Target has been constructed and is operated in close cooperation with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia. The system offers the opportunity to provide longitudinally and transversely polarized protons and deuteron. In this paper the operation experience of this new Frozen-Spin Target and first results from the runs in 2010 and 2011 are presented.     

Study of thermochemical properties of diphenyl[dialkyl(alkyl)carbamoylmethyl]phosphine oxides

The synthesis and the studies of properties of diphenyl[dialkyl(alkyl)carbamoylmethyl]phosphine oxides by differential scanning calorimetry, mass spectrometry and Knudsen effusion method were performed. The thermodynamic parameters of melting and vaporization were calculated.     

[2+4] Cycloaddition of η6-(styrene)chromium tricarbonyl and conjugated dienes

Cycloaddition of η⁶-(styrene)chromium tricarbonyl to hexa-2,4-diene or cyclopentadiene afford the Diels-Alder adducts with retention of the Cr(CO)₃ group, whereas cyclohexa-1,3-diene undergoes aromatization to give η⁶-(benzene)chromium tricarbonyl. The counter synthesis of these (arene)chromium tricarbonyl derivatives from uncoordinated adducts of the Diels-Alder reaction and chromium hexacarbonyl was carried out.     

Association of bromate ion in nonaqueous solutions of alkali metal salts

Manifestations of ion association of lithium cation with BrO₃ ^- ion in the vibrational spectrum have been studied by IR spectroscopy. The microstructure of the bromate ion with lithium cation in a contact ion pair in an aprotic solvent has been determined by the density functional theory method in the B3LYP/cc-pVTZ approximation, and the vibrational spectrum of coordinated bromate ion has been calculated.
