We investigate femtosecond laser direct writing (FLDW) in the fabrication of magneto-optical (MO) microstructures. The experimental results show that FDLW can introduce positive refractive index change in the MO materials. With the increase of the writing intensity of femtosecond laser pulses, refractive index change increases, whereas Verdet constant of the damaged area decreases nonlinearly. With suitable writing intensity, we obtain a single-mode waveguide in which Verdet constant is 80% of the bulk MO glass. 相似文献

在忽略高能级的自发辐射和光纤损耗的情况下,利用速率方程和传输方程理论研究了高浓度Er3+/Yb3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃光纤放大器的增益特性,讨论了Er3+浓度、Yb3+浓度、抽运光功率、信号光功率、光纤长度对放大器增益的影响,并与单掺铒光纤放大器进行了比较.由于Yb3+的敏化作用降低了铒离子的团簇效应,减少了离子间相互作用,共掺光纤的增益和效率明显高于单掺光纤.数值计算表明,3.2cm长Er3+/Yb3+共掺光纤在980nm的20dBm(100mW)抽运功率下,1532nm处的增益可达10dB.

We report measurements of absorption and anisotropy coefficients of the fat emulsion Intralipid-10%. An addingabsorber method is used for measurement of absorption and anisotropy coefficients of the Intralipid-10%. Using the diffusion theory which has been extended to include anisotropy scat geometry, we found that the standard deviations of multiple measurements for√μα/D are less than 0.6% and the residuals between the measured data and the fits have rms values of 0.1%, where μα is the absorbing coefficient of the solution in our experiment and D is the diffusion coefficient of the medium. The values of the standard deviations and the residuals demonstrate the high precision of the measurements. 相似文献

Optical nonlinearities of new organophosphorus fullerene derivative were determined by the Z-scan method with a pulsed Q-switch Nd:YAG laser at 532nm. The experimental results demonstrated that the derivative has much larger excited-states nonlinear absorption and nonlinear refraction than C60. A five-level model was utilized to fit the experimental data, and a good agreement is reached. Some parameters such as excited-state absorption cross and refraction cross were obtained. To our knowledge, the excited-state cross section of new organophosphorus fullerene derivative and its effective ratio to the ground-state cross section are the largest values among the fullerene derivatives reported to date. 相似文献
