A bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane, with one cyclopropane carbon flanked by a ketone and an ester or an aldehyde, undergoes methanolysis with cleavage of one of the two activated cyclopropane bonds, depending on the reaction conditions. Acidic conditions yield primarily or exclusively a 4-methoxycyclohexane, while basic conditions yield a 3-methoxymethylcyclopentanone. 相似文献

A silanediol inhibitor of the metalloprotease thermolysin was prepared for comparison to a known phosphinic acid inhibitor, providing the first comparison of these second-row element based transition-state analogues. Inhibition of thermolysin by the silanediol (K(i) = 41 nM) was comparable to that of the phosphinic acid (K(i) = 10 nM) even though the silanediol is uncharged and thereby lacks the intrinsic Coulombic attraction of the phosphinate anion to the active-site zinc cation. This silanediol protease inhibitor is the least sterically encumbered example prepared to date and, therefore, the most prone toward polymerization. Hydrolysis of a difluorosilane intermediate to the silanediol leads cleanly to a monomeric product. 相似文献

The readily available aminomethylsilanes can be utilized to prepare the less available α-alkyl-α-aminosilanes. Versatile t-butoxy-carbonal (Boc) derivatives can be metalated between nitrogen and silicon, and then alkylated by an electrophile at this position. Transition state analogues of the peptide hydrolysis intermediate can take the form of complex silanediols such as 1 , which inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) at nanomolar concentrations. Assuming the Riemann Hypothesis, Montgomery showed by meansof his pair correlation method that at least two-thirds of thezeros of Riemann's zeta-function are simple. Later he and Taylorimproved this to 67.25 percent and, more recently, Cheer andGoldston increased the percentage to 67.2753. Here we proveby a new method that if the Riemann and Generalized LindelöofHypotheses hold, then at least 70.3704 percent of the zerosare simple and at least 84.5679 percent are distinct. Pyridones, well-known for their ability to photodimerize, have been found to undergo [4 + 4] photocycloaddition with furan and naphthalene but not with benzene. In some cases these reactions can be highly regio- and stereospecific. Intramolecular reaction with furan produces both cis and trans [4 + 4] products. The cycloaddition with naphthalene can occur both inter- and intramolecularly. The intermolecular reaction yields primarily the cis isomer, whereas the trans isomer is the major product from the intramolecular reaction. A mixture of 4-methoxy-2-pyridone and 2-methoxynaphthalene that could form up to eight regio- and stereoisomers forms largely one [4 + 4] product. 相似文献
