In this paper, we deal with conjugate gradient methods for solving nonlinear least squares problems. Several Newton-like methods have been studied for solving nonlinear least squares problems, which include the Gauss-Newton method, the Levenberg-Marquardt method and the structured quasi-Newton methods. On the other hand, conjugate gradient methods are appealing for general large-scale nonlinear optimization problems. By combining the structured secant condition and the idea of Dai and Liao (2001) [20], the present paper proposes conjugate gradient methods that make use of the structure of the Hessian of the objective function of nonlinear least squares problems. The proposed methods are shown to be globally convergent under some assumptions. Finally, some numerical results are given.  相似文献

The separation of potassium and sodium ions from their mixture was performed by electrodialyzing a mixed solution of potassium chloride and sodium chloride in the presence of 18-crown-6 using a commercial cation-exchange membrane. After 18-crown-6 had been impregnated in the membrane, the mixed solution containing 18-crown-6 was electrodialyzed as the desalting-side solution. The permeation of potassium ions through the membrane decreased remarkably and the electrical resistance of the membrane increased during electrodialysis with increasing concentration of 18-crown-6 in the solution. Because potassium ions form a more stable complex with 18-crown-6 than sodium ions and because the complex permeated through the membrane with difficulty, sodium ions are thought to selectively permeate through the membrane. A smectic A-cholesteric phase transition for a rigid-rod helical polymer, poly[n-decyl-(S)-2-methylbutylsilane] (PD2MBS), with a narrow molecular weight distribution, has been observed for the first time. Polarizing optical microscopy showed that the fan-shaped texture of the smectic A phase turned into the characteristic planar texture of the cholesteric phase upon heating. The positive CD band, which corresponds to the reflection band of the cholesteric phase, gradually decreased in intensity within a range 30°C below the transition temperature on cooling, while the peak maximum shifted towards shorter wavelengths. It was concluded that the system has a very wide temperature region over which the cholesteric-smectic A phase transition occurs and in which the cholesteric pitch varies with temperature.  相似文献

Complexation mechanism, binding properties and thermodynamic parameters of supramolecular chirality induction in the achiral host molecule, syn (face-to-face conformation) ethane-bridged bis(zinc porphyrin), upon interaction with chiral monoamine and monoalcohol guests have been studied by means of the UV-vis, CD, (1)H NMR, and ESI MS techniques. It was found that the chirogenesis process includes three major equilibria steps: the first guest ligation to a zinc porphyrin subunit of the host (K(1)), syn to anti conformational switching (K(S)), and further ligation by a second guest molecule to the remaining ligand-free zinc porphyrin subunit (K(2)), thus forming the final bis-ligated species possessing supramolecular chirality. The validity of this equilibria model is confirmed by the excellent match between the calculated and experimentally observed spectral parameters of the bis-ligated species. The second ligation proceeds in a cooperative manner as K(2) > K(1) for all supramolecular systems studied, regardless of the structure of the chiral ligand used. The binding properties are highly dependent on the nature of the functional group (amines are stronger binders than alcohols) and on the structure of the chiral guests (primary and aliphatic amines have overall binding constant values greater than those of secondary and aromatic amines, respectively).  相似文献
