New Complexes of Rhenium(V) with Pyruvic and Phenylglyoxylic Acid Thiosemicarbazones

Synthesis and thermal study of rhenium(V) coordination compounds with pyroracemic acid and phenylglyoxylic acid thiosemicarbazones

Rhenium(V) coordination compounds with pyroracemic acid and phenylglyoxylic acid thiosemicarbazones were synthesized for various metal-to-ligand ratios in 1–7 M hydrohalic acids. The composition and structure of the complexes were characterized using a set of physicochemical methods. The thermal stability of rhenium(V) complexes with pyroracemic acid and phenylglyoxylic acid thiosemicarbazones and rhenium(V) solvato complexes with pyroracemic acid thiosemicarbazone was studied thermogravimetrically. The thermolysis mechanism for the complexes was determined as follows: elimination of outer-sphere water, decarboxylation, and dehalogenation.     

Phase diagrams of some non-quasi-binary joins of the AlCl3-BiCl3-NaCl system

Phase diagrams of NaAlCl₄-(70.0 mol % AlCl₃ + 30.0 mol % BziCl₃), NaAlCl₄-(34.2 mol % AlCl₃ + 65.8 mol % BiCl₃), and (61.0 mol % AlCl₃ + 39.0 mol % NaCl)-AlCl₃ · BiCl₃ non-quasi-binary joins have been investigated using differential thermal and X-ray powder diffraction analyses. The fields of primary and joint crystallization of phases and invariant equilibrium temperatures have been determined in these joins. Isothermal section of the iron-molybdenum-samarium system at 773 K

Component interactions in the iron-molybdenum-samarium system at 773 K were studied by powder X-ray diffraction, microstructure observation, electron probe microanalysis, and hardness and microhardness testing. The formation of a ternary intermetallic compound π with a ThMn₁₂ structural type was found in this system. Binary intermetallc compounds were found to interact not only with one another to form two-phase equilibria ( Fe₂Mo + Fe₇Mo₆, Sm₂Fe₁₇ + SmFe₃, SmFe₃ + SmFe₂, and Fe₂Mo₆ + SmFe₂) but also with pure components (Fe + Fe₂Mo, Fe + Sm₂Fe₁₇, Mo + Fe₇Mo₆, Sm + SmFe₂, and Sm + Fe₇Mo₆). Three-phase regions were also detected in th e isothermal section of the diagram: Fe + Fe₂Mo + Ψ, Fe₇Mo₆ + Fe₂Mo + Ψ, Fe₇Mo₆ + SmFe₂ + Ψ, and SmFe₃ + SmFe₂ + Ψ.

Rhenium(V) complexes of 1H-benzimidazole (L), isolated from acidic media: (HL)₂[ReOX₅]·(H₂O) _n and [ReOL _x X _y (H₂O) _z ](H₂O) _n (HL and L are protonated and deprotonated forms of benzimidazole; X = Cl^-, Br^-) were studied by means of IR spectroscopy, ¹H NMR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis.
