The use of additive correction schemes to obtain structures and vibrational frequencies of increasingly larger molecules is becoming more common. Such approaches, based on the cubic extrapolation formula applied directly to the quantity of interest, have been successfully validated only at the highest levels of computational accuracy: for coupled cluster methods with comparably large basis sets. Here, a systematic validation of geometries and vibrational frequencies is carried out, including more affordable and relevant levels of theory, such as the Møller-Plesset perturbation theory applied with smaller basis sets. Comparisons of such additive schemes against the more rigorous gradient-based extrapolation are presented. The cbs () routine of the open-source quantum-chemistry package Psi4 has been extended for this purpose. The results confirm that geometries and frequencies of covalently bound species obtained with additive correction schemes are in an excellent agreement with the results of gradient-based extrapolations. However, when applied to systems involving noncovalent interactions, the errors due to such schemes are significantly larger. The aim of this work is to derive an accurate model of two-dimensional switched control heating system from data generated by a Finite Element solver. The nonintrusive approach should be able to capture both temperature fields, dynamics and the underlying switching control rule. To achieve this goal, the algorithm proposed in this paper will make use of three main ingredients: proper orthogonal decomposition (POD), dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) and artificial neural networks (ANN). Our attempts to synthesize the hitherto unknown binary copper(I) fluoride have led to first successes and a serendipitious result: By conproportionation of elemental copper and copper(II) fluoride in anhydrous liquid ammonia, two copper(I) fluorides were obtained as simple NH3 complexes. One of them presents an example of ligand‐unsupported “cuprophilic” interactions in an infinite [Cu2(NH3)4]2+ chain with alternating Cu–Cu distances. We discovered that both copper(I) fluorides can easily be converted into Cu3N at room temperature, just by applying a vacuum. Additionally, we investigated the formation mechanism of the classical synthesis route of Cu3N that starts with CuF2 and flowing NH3 in the temperature range between ambient and 290 °C by means of thermal analysis and in situ neutron diffraction. The reaction proceeds at elevated temperatures through the formation of a blue and amorphous ammoniate Cu(NH3)2F2, the reformation of CuF2, and finally the redox reaction to form Cu3N. 相似文献

Recently, esters have received much attention as transmetalation partners for cross‐coupling reactions. Herein, we report a systematic study of the reactivity of a series of esters and thioesters with [{(dtbpe)Ni}2(μ‐η2:η2‐C6H6)] (dtbpe=1,2‐bis(di‐tert‐butyl)phosphinoethane), which is a source of (dtbpe)nickel(0). Trifluoromethylthioesters were found to form η2‐carbonyl complexes. In contrast, acetylthioesters underwent rapid Cacyl?S bond cleavage followed by decarbonylation to generate methylnickel complexes. This decarbonylation could be pushed backwards by the addition of CO, allowing for regeneration of the thioester. Most of the thioester complexes were found to undergo stoichiometric cross‐coupling with phenylboronic acid to yield sulfides. While ethyl trifluoroacetate was also found to form an η2‐carbonyl complex, phenyl esters were found to predominantly undergo Caryl?O bond cleavage to yield arylnickel complexes. These could also undergo transmetalation to yield biaryls. Attempts to render the reactions catalytic were hindered by ligand scrambling to yield nickel bis(acetate) complexes, the formation of which was supported by independent syntheses. Finally, 2‐naphthyl acetate was also found to undergo clean Caryl?O bond cleavage, and although stoichiometric cross‐coupling with phenylboronic acid proceeded with good yield, catalytic turnover has so far proven elusive. 相似文献

A symmetrical 2‐thiopyrimidine based molecule with an expanded π‐electron system is synthesized and used to form a self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) on gold surfaces. Utilizing chemical vapor deposition a monolayer of (3‐mercaptopropyl)triethoxysilane is formed on silicon dioxide substrates. Both of these SAM coated substrates are characterized by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and the growth of a coordination polymer built up from 5,5′‐(ethyne‐1,2‐diyl)bis(2‐hydroxyacetophenone) and copper(II) on dual SAM coated transducers is studied. After the deposition procedure on interdigital electrodes the electrical properties of the polymer are investigated performing resistive measurements. A significant change of the resistance, which depends on the surrounding atmosphere, proves the sensing behavior of the synthesized coordination polymer. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym.
