Finite groups whose maximal subgroups of sylow p-subgroups admit a p-solvable supplement

In this note,we show that if every maximal subgroup of a Sylow p-subgroup of a finite group has a p-solvable supplement then the group is necessarily p-solvable.This gives a positive answer to Problem 17.111 of the Kourovka Notebook(Unsolved Problems in Group Theory),which was posed by Skiba.     

Fluorescent AIE dots encapsulated organically modified silica (ORMOSIL) nanoparticles for two-photon cellular imaging

2,3-Bis(4-(phenyl(4-(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)phenyl)amino)phenyl) fumaronitrile (TPE-TPA-FN or TTF), which possesses aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristic, is doped in organically modified silica (ORMOSIL) nanoparticles. By increasing the weight ratio of TTF to the precursor of silica nanoparticles (the quantities of the precursors were kept the same), the fluorescence intensity of nanoparticles increased correspondingly, due to the formation of larger AIE dots in the cores of ORMOSIL nanoparticles. The fluorescent and biocompatible nanoprobes were then utilized for in vitro imaging of HeLa cells. Two-photon fluorescence microscopy clearly illustrated that the nanoparticles have the capacity of nucleus permeability, as well as cytoplasm staining towards tumor cells. Our experimental results may offer a promising method for fast and bright fluorescence imaging, as well as bio-molecule/drug delivery to cell nucleus.     

Gradient Estimates for the Heat Kernels in Higher Dimensional Heisenberg Groups

The author obtains sharp gradient estimates for the heat kernels in two kinds of higher dimensional Heisenberg groups -- the non-isotropic Heisenberg group and the Heisenberg type group Hn,m. The method used here relies on the positive property of the Bakry-Emery curvature F2 on the radial functions and some associated semigroup technics.     

Evolutions of Yang Phase Under Cyclic Condition and Adiabatic Condition

There are three non-integrable phases in literatures： Berry phase, Aharonov-Anandan phase, and Yang phase. This article discusses the evolutions of Yang phase under the cyclic condition and the adiabatic condition for the general time-dependent harmonic oscillator, thus reveals the intimate relations between these three non-integrable phases.

Studies of the Geodesic Acoustic Mode Zonal Flow in HL-2A Tokamak Plasmas

Zonal flows are universal phenomena in nature and have attracted interse interest in the magnetic fusion plasma physics community in recent years. The active studies in this field are aimed at an understanding of nonlinear physics processes responsible for coherent structure formation and for anomalous transport in plasmas.     

Spectral Characteristics of Edge Electrostatic Turbulence in the HL-2A Tokamak

A three-tip array is used in the HL-2A tokamak to investigate the spectral characteristics of electrostatic turbulence inside the last closed flux surface （LCFS） about 5 cm. Two-point correlation techniques are used to analysis the turbulence structure. It is found that the drift wave turbulence mainly is composed of low-frequency and long wavelength wave packets. The poloidal propagation is mainly in electron-diamagnetic direction, sometimes it propagates in ion-diamagnetic direction, which is influenced by Doppler-frequency shift. The radial propagation velocity is outward and the sizeable fraction of the poloidal velocity, implying that the radial mode plays an important role in the cross field transport.     

Three Dimensional Identification of Zonal Flows in the HL-2A Tokamak

1 Introduction Zonal flows （ZF） have been studied in some fusion devices. For example, geodesic acoustic mode （GAM） is observed with the frequency of fGAM - 15 kHz, poloidal mode number （m〈3） and radial wave number （ krρi -0.2） using beam emission spectroscopy at plasma edge in the D Ⅲ- D tokamak.
