播种化学梦铸造科学魂——西北大学化学科普实验室的实践与反思

Under the background of college entrance examination reform, it becomes imperative to improve the students' interest in chemistry. During the effort to investigate how to present the chemistry knowledge, to cultivate and promote students' interest and professional attitude towards chemistry, we developed the public science education laboratory of College of Chemistry and Materials Science, Northwest University. In the current paper, we introduced the background of setting-up, the missions and targets of the laboratory, as well discussed the construction, evaluation systems and prospection of the laboratory.     

Influence of intensity on the steady and transient state space—charge fields in photorefractive polymers

We have proven theoretically that there are sublinear,linear and superlinear relations between the response rates and total incident intensity for different cases of traps in photorefractive polymer materials.These relations were observed in inorganic photorefractive crystals many years ago.Also,the steady-state space-charge field is a function of the total incident intensity,which has also been found in inorganic photorefractive crystals.We have measured the relations of the steady-state diffraction efficiency and the response rate with respect to the total incident intensity in the photorefractive composite consisting of the polymer (N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) doped with 4,4‘-n-pentylcyanobiphenyl (5CB) and C60.The results obtained show that the composite belongs to the case of low trap density.     

在课堂演示实验中引入光学异常透射现象

本文讨论了如何在大学物理单缝的夫琅禾费衍射课堂演示实验中引入当前光学领域研究前沿的一个重要物理现象-亚波长金属缝异常光学透射现象.基于数值模拟,比较了在夫琅禾费衍射实验条件下,纳米尺寸单缝的异常光学透射和微米尺度单缝衍射的特点,讨论并指出纳米单缝的异常透射特征是纳米尺度光与物质强相互作用的反映,而这种强相互作用在微米尺度单缝的夫琅禾费衍射中是不显著的.最后对用于课堂演示的衍射实验装置的设计进行了讨论.     

Grey－grey incoherently coupled spatial soliton pairs in guest－host photorefractive polymers

We show that incoherently coupled grey－grey spatial soliton pairs can be established in guest－host photorefractive polymers under steady-state conditions, provided that their carrier beams have the same polarization, wavelength, and are mutually incoherent. The properties of these soliton pairs, such as their width and polarization, are discussed in detail.     

光折变聚合物中斩波调制对二波耦合增益系数的增强效应

通过二波耦合测量了光折变聚合物PVK:5CB:C60中的耦合增益系数,并利用斩波调制技术实现了二波耦合增益系数的增强.研究了最佳斩波频率及处于此频率下的耦合增益系数随外加电场、入射总光强、光栅波矢的关系. 关键词： 光折变聚合物 二波耦合 增益系数
