We introduce the time-consistency concept that is inspired by the so-called “principle of optimality” of dynamic programming and demonstrate – via an example – that the conditional value-at-risk (CVaR) need not be time-consistent in a multi-stage case. Then, we give the formulation of the target-percentile risk measure which is time-consistent and hence more suitable in the multi-stage investment context. Finally, we also generalize the value-at-risk and CVaR to multi-stage risk measures based on the theory and structure of the target-percentile risk measure.  相似文献

The stereoselective total synthesis of (?)-panaxjapyne-C was accomplished in a convergent fashion. The synthesis utilizes the readily available enantiomers l-(+)-diethyltartrate and d-(?)-diethyltartrate and involves a Cadiot–Chodkiewicz coupling reaction, and an Ohira–Bestmann reaction as the key steps.  相似文献

Two new water soluble oxovanadium(IV) complexes with formulae Na[VO(his)(met)SO4] (1) and Na[VO(gly)(met)SO4] (2), (gly=glycine his=histidine, and met=metformin) were synthesized and characterized by LCMS, UV‐Visible absorption, infrared spectra, magnetic moment, elemental analysis, thermal analysis and electronic spectral studies. The metal center was found in an octahedral geometry. DNA binding interaction of these complexes with CT DNA has been explored by UV‐Visible absorption, fluorescence, viscosity measurements and cleavage studies. Finally the binding of the complexes with CT‐DNA could be surface binding, mainly in the groove binding. The complexes were docked in to B‐DNA sequence, 5’(D*AP*CP*CP*GP*AP*CP*GP*TP*CP*GP*GP*T)‐3’ retrieved from protein data bank (PDB ID: 423D), using Discovery Studio 2.1 software.  相似文献

A simple and efficient Brønsted acid catalyzed synthesis of 2-aryl-quinazolinones via cyclization of 2-aminobenzamides with benzonitrile in PEG under metal and ligand-free condition. All substituted benzonitriles were also well participated with the formation of the corresponding products in moderate to good yields.  相似文献

A well‐known limitation in the fabrication of metal‐graphene composite has been the use of surfactants that strongly adsorb on the surface and reduce the performance of the catalyst. We demonstrate here a novel one‐pot synthesis of gold nanoparticles by laser ablation of gold strip and in‐situ decoration on graphene substrate. Not only the impregnation of nanoparticles was linker free, but also the synthesis by itself was surfactant‐free. The composite materials were well characterized morphologically and functionally using electron microscopy, X‐ray and electron diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, Zeta potential, electrochemical measurements and UV‐Visible spectroscopic techniques. This linker‐free gold‐graphene based composite has been employed for catalytic applications pertaining to electrooxidation. We have explored the use of this composite as a binder‐free electrode in electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol and ethanol in alkaline medium. Additionally, the onset potential for ethanol oxidation was found to be more negative, ?100 mV, an indication of its promising application in direct ethanol fuel cells.  相似文献

We report herein DABCO mediated one pot synthesis of 2-(3-benzyl-2, 6-dioxo-3,6-dihydropyrimidin-1[2H]-yl)-N-(4-(1,3-dioxo-1H-benzo[de]isoquinolin-2[3H]-yl) aryl) acetamides ( 4a-j ). The silent features of this new one pot synthesis include the shorter reaction time, high yields, simple workup, and simultaneous formation of N-Amide and N-benzyl bonds in the one pot. The newly synthesized compounds ( 4a-j ) were characterized by different spectral techniques such as IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, HRMS. All the synthesized compounds were evaluated for their anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities. The anti-bacterial activities results reveal that the compounds 4a , 4g , 4i , and 4j are most active against S. aureus. In the case of B. subtilis the compounds 4a , 4i , and 4j are found to be most active. The compounds 4c , 4e , 4i , and 4j are most active against E. coli. In the case of P. aeruginosa 4a , 4i & 4j are found to be more active. On the other hand, the anti-fungal activity result shows that the compounds 4d , 4f , 4i , and 4j are more active against A. niger. The compounds 4a , 4d , 4i , and 4j are found to be more active against C. albicans.  相似文献

Similar to entangled ropes, polymer chains cannot slide through each other. These topological constraints, the so-called entanglements, dominate the viscoelastic behavior of high-molecular-weight polymeric liquids. Tube models of polymer dynamics and rheology are based on the idea that entanglements confine a chain to small fluctuations around a primitive path which follows the coarse-grained chain contour. To establish the microscopic foundation for these highly successful phenomenological models, we have recently introduced a method for identifying the primitive path mesh that characterizes the microscopic topological state of computer-generated conformations of long-chain polymer melts and solutions. Here we give a more detailed account of the algorithm and discuss several key aspects of the analysis that are pertinent for its successful use in analyzing the topology of the polymer configurations. We also present a slight modification of the algorithm that preserves the previously neglected self-entanglements and allows us to distinguish between local self-knots and entanglements between distant sections of the same chain. Our results indicate that the latter make a negligible contribution to the tube and that the contour length between local self-knots, Nlk is significantly larger than the entanglement length Ne. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
