Substrates and Cyclic Peptide Inhibitors of the Oligonucleotide-Activated Sirtuin 7**

The sirtuins are NAD⁺-dependent lysine deacylases, comprising seven isoforms (SIRT1–7) in humans, which are involved in the regulation of a plethora of biological processes, including gene expression and metabolism. The sirtuins share a common hydrolytic mechanism but display preferences for different ϵ-N-acyllysine substrates. SIRT7 deacetylates targets in nuclei and nucleoli but remains one of the lesser studied of the seven isoforms, in part due to a lack of chemical tools to specifically probe SIRT7 activity. Here we expressed SIRT7 and, using small-angle X-ray scattering, reveal SIRT7 to be a monomeric enzyme with a low degree of globular flexibility in solution. We developed a fluorogenic assay for investigation of the substrate preferences of SIRT7 and to evaluate compounds that modulate its activity. We report several mechanism-based SIRT7 inhibitors as well as de novo cyclic peptide inhibitors selected from mRNA-display library screening that exhibit selectivity for SIRT7 over other sirtuin isoforms, stabilize SIRT7 in cells, and cause an increase in the acetylation of H3 K18.     

Supramolecular Engineering Strategy to Construct BODIPY-Based White Light Emission Materials

Two kinds of 4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene (BODIPY) dyads BDP-OH containing 4-hydroxystyrene groups and BDP-PY bearing pyridinyl units were prepared. In addition, a naphthalene derivative NAP-PY modified by pyridinyl moieties substituent was made. The above three dyads could be used to construct white-light emission (WLE) material by a supramolecular engineering strategy due to their three primary colors of blue, green and red. The supramolecular correlations between the hydroxyl group of BDP-OH and the pyridinyl groups of NAP-PY and BDP-PY were confirmed by ¹H NMR titration, 2D NOESY and FTIR. A fluorescence monitor application was carried out based on the realization of WLE. This work might be useful for designing other WLE supramolecular systems and image display.     

A study on the triboelectric charging of display glass during the roller transfer process–modeling and characterization

Glass substrates for displays are insulating materials capable of generating and maintaining high levels of triboelectric charges posing a risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to electronic display components. In this work, an apparatus for triboelectric charging characterization of display glass during the roller transfer process was designed and fabricated. In order to establish the reliability of the characterization, the triboelectric charge and the electrostatic potential distribution measurement system was automated. The preconditioning process of the glass and the rollers was also addressed. In order to analyze the measurements' results, a multiphysics model that considered both electrical and mechanical properties was proposed. The test parameters that were expected to affect the triboelectric charging characteristics are defined and discussed, as well as some of the characterization results such as the effects of acceleration/deceleration and maximum velocity, relative humidity and moisture on the glass and the rollers, and the conductivity of the rollers. The peak-to-peak deviation of the de-embedded triboelectric charges, due to a steady-state velocity period with different combinations of acceleration/deceleration and maximum velocities, was 14.2%. The triboelectric charges increased as the relative humidity increased from 30% to 50% with the same temperature. They also increased when the insulating rollers were replaced with dissipative rollers.     

偏振显示及椭圆偏振光测量实验

以单束正交线偏振光为光源,利用角向偏振显示器,采用CCD摄像机进行图像采集,利用Matlab软件进行图像处理,设计了一种由He-Ne激光器、角向偏振显示器组成的偏振光偏振方向显示系统,并研究了其角度特性.实验结果表明:系统在起偏器的起偏角分别为0°、90°、180°、270°、360°时,角向偏振显示器偏振显示角度的测量准确度分别为0.480°、0.168°、0.528°、0.421°、0.340°,测量精确度分别为0.208°、0.576°、0.660°、0.603°、0.466°,测量数据拟合曲线的线性相关系数为0.999.结合1/4波片,检偏器和分光比为50:50的分束器,构建了椭圆偏振光测量系统,完成了椭圆偏振光测量实验,椭圆率为0.198.     

一种新颖微型液晶显示器背光设计技术

针对目前机载头盔显示系统中的微型液晶显示器背光模组亮度和均匀性不足问题,提出了一种新颖的微型液晶显示器背光结构及设计理论,并通过CODEV软件设计了背光光学系统,利用LIGHTTOOLS软件对背光模组进行了配光效果仿真,结果证明当采用85 lm绿色LUXEON Rebel LEDS作光源时,其输出光亮度接近160 000 cd/m²,均匀性大于85％,功耗仅有1.25 W,完全满足了机载头盔显示系统的要求.     

Pattern recognition display methods for the analysis of computed molecular properties

Summary Pattern recognition methods, particularly the unsupervised learning techniques, are well suited for the preliminary analysis of the large data sets produced by computer chemistry. The use of linear and non-linear display methods for such exploratory analysis are exemplified with the aid of two data sets of biologically active molecules. Advantages and disadvantages of these techniques are discussed.     

全息透镜在车辆中的两种应用

通过把全息透镜嵌入挡风玻璃，实现全息透镜在车辆中的两种应用，即将具有颜色选择性的窄带全息透镜用于车辆的平视显示，将具有角度选择性的宽带全息透镜用于车辆的阳光防护。     

立体显示中的垂轴放大率

为消除立体影像的畸变需研究拍摄再现立体影像的垂轴放大率。重新推导了立体影像拍摄再现的总垂轴放大率公式,在该公式中增加了一个观看再现放大率系数,立体影像的观看再现垂轴放大率为像距与观看距离之比。实验结果验证了理论的正确性,该公式对于进一步研究再现立体影像的消畸变具有重要作用。     

狭缝光栅自由立体显示器立体可视区域的研究

提出了反映观察区域某一点是否是合适的立体观察点立体图像质量因子的概念.根据狭缝光栅自由立体显示器的结构和工作原理并应用几何光学知识,分析得出了立体图像质量因子的计算公式,并给出了立体显示器的立体图像质量因子的计算结果.通过定义立体图像质量因子的阈值,得到狭缝光栅自由立体显示器的立体可视区域.
