基于三线结构光的大型圆柱工件直径测量系统

针对工业上一些无法正对待测端面安装相机的直径测量场景,设计了一种由3个激光投线器、1个成像透镜及1个面阵CMOS相机组成的圆柱工件直径测量系统,放置于地面上倾斜投影并成像。搭建了测量系统,从图像中获得亚像素端点坐标,代入标定方程解算世界坐标,并通过几何模型计算待测直径。实验结果表明,该系统能在设计待测值附近准确测量工件的端面直径,测量精度在±0.1 mm以内,满足工业测量高精度要求。     

Determining polymer film thickness during manufacturing with broadband transmission

A novel broadband transmission method to determine polymer film thickness during manufacturing is proposed, and a measurement system is developed based on this method. The relationship between broadband optical power and film thickness is deduced according to the Lambert-Beer law. The system is composed of a halogen light and an optical power meter. Results show that the measurement error of this method is approximately 1 μm, and the resolution of the system is below 0.4 μm for polymer films with less than 100-μm thickness.     

An alternative phase modulator half-wave voltage measurement based on photonic link

We measure the half-wave voltage of LiNbO 3 phase modulators in a 26-GHz wideband frequency range, and then analyze it by the phase modulation photonic peak gain linked to the interferometric demodulation. The optical interferometer is constructed with two 50:50 couplers and two fiber arms with a 1-m difference in fiber length. The photonic link gain peaks are frequency dependent, as indicated by the differential time delay in the interferometer. The procedure described is a new and practical half-wave voltage measurement method that can accurately predict the nonlinear frequency characteristics of the phase modulator. Moreover, the method can be applied to various types of LiNbO 3 phase modulators.     

原油含水率测量的光学计量仪

油井含水率是油田开发过程中的一个重要指标。光纤传感器具有体积小、重量轻、抗干扰能力强、实时、高效、准确等优点,将其应用于石油测井,有利于提高勘探效率。介绍测井应用中原油含水率计量仪的结构,分析了光纤传感器对混合液体含水率测量的基本原理。激光在弯曲光纤中的传输效率随外界混合介质折射率的变化而改变,根据光纤输出光功率的大小可以测量外界混合介质的组成成分。通过数值模拟,给出了光纤传感器中光束强度随混合液体含水率的变化现象,计算得到混合液体中含水率测量结果。结果表明,光纤传感器计量仪能实现0%～100%含水量的连续测量。最后基于数值模拟结果讨论了系统设计中的注意事项。     

Magnetic transition and large reversible magnetocaloric effect in EuCu1.75P2 compound

The magnetocaloric effect(MCE) in EuCu1.75P2 compound is studied by the magnetization and heat capacity measurements.Magnetization and modified Arrott plots indicate that the compound undergoes a second-order phase transition at TC ～ 51 K.A large reversible MCE is observed around TC.The values of maximum magnetic entropy change(-△SxMma) reach 5.6 J·kg-1·K-1 and 13.3 J·kg-1·K-1 for the field change of 2 T and 7 T,respectively,with no obvious hysteresis loss in the vicinity of Curie temperature.The corresponding maximum adiabatic temperature changes(△Tadmax) are evaluated to be 2.1 K and 5.0 K.The magnetic transition and the origin of large MCE in EuCu1.75P2 are also discussed.     

Effect of the nonlinearity of the CCD in Fourier transform profilometry on spectrum overlapping and measurement accuracy

In Fourier transform profilometry (FTP), we must restrain spectrum overlapping caused by the nonlinearity of the charge coupled device (CCD) and increase the measurement accuracy of the object shape. Firstly, the causes of producing higher-order spectrum components and inducing spectrum overlapping are analysed theoretically, and a simple physical explanation and analytical deduction are given. Secondly, aiming to suppress spectrum overlapping and improve measurement accuracy, the influence of spatial carrier frequency of projection grating on them is analysed. A method of increasing the spatial carrier frequency of projection grating to restrain or reduce the spectrum overlapping significantly is proposed. We then analyze the mechanism of how the spectrum overlapping is reduced. Finally, the simulation results and experimental measurements verify the correction of the proposed theory and method.     

Measuring causality by taking the directional symbolic mutual information approach

We propose a novel measure to assess causality through the comparison of symbolic mutual information between the future of one random quantity and the past of the other.This provides a new perspective that is different from the conventional conceptions.Based on this point of view,a new causality index is derived that uses the definition of directional symbolic mutual information.This measure presents properties that are different from the time delayed mutual information since the symbolization captures the dynamic features of the analyzed time series.In addition to characterizing the direction and the amplitude of the information flow,it can also detect coupling delays.This method has the property of robustness,conceptual simplicity,and fast computational speed.     

Determinations of plasma density and decay time in the hollow cathode discharge by microwave transmission

The microwave （MW） transmission method is employed to measure both the plasma density and the plasma decay time in the hollow cathode discharge （HCD） in argon at low pressure. The plasma density in DC-driven or pulsed HCD is on the order of 1012 cm-3, which can block the X-band MW effectively. In the case of pulsed HCD, the MW transmittance shows the same waveform as the pulsed current during the rising edge if the driving frequency is low, but with a longer delay during the falling edge. The MW transmittance reaches a constant low level when the driving frequency is high enough. The plasma decay time in the HCD system is measured to be about 100 μs around a pressure of 120 Pa. The ambipolar diffusion is considered to be the major mechanism in the decay process.
