This article presents a numerical investigation of turbulent flow in an axisymmetric separated and reattached flow over a longitudinal blunt circular cylinder. The governing equations were discretized by the finite-volume method and SIMPLER method was applied to solve the equations on a staggered grid. The turbulent flow was numerically simulated using the standard k–ε, Abe–Kondoh–Nagano (AKN) and Shear Stress Transport (SST) turbulence models. The comparisons made between numerical results and experimental measurements showed that the SST model is superior to other models in the present calculation.Computations were performed for three different Reynolds numbers of 6000, 10 000 and 20 000 based on the cylinder diameter. To our knowledge, this study represents the first numerical investigation of the present flow configuration. The computational results were validated with the available experimental data of reattachment length, mean velocity distribution and wall static pressure coefficient in the turbulent blunt circular cylinder flows. Further, other characteristics of the flow, such as turbulent kinetic energy, pressure, streamlines, and the velocity vectors are discussed.The results show that the main characteristics of the turbulence flow in the separation region, such as reattachment length or velocity profiles, are nearly independent of the Reynolds number. The obtained results showed that a secondary separation bubble may appear in the main separation bubble near the leading edge. Furthermore, it was found that the turbulent kinetic energy has a large effect on the formation of the secondary bubble.  相似文献

对于含间断的计算气动声学问题,数值计算的格式不仅要求低耗散低色散的设计,对短波具有较高的分辨率,还要求能捕捉激波.中心紧致格式具有高精度,具有无耗散和低色散特征,但不能捕捉间断和激波;WENO格式处理间断较为成功,而耗散和色散误差相对较大.有限紧致格式可以将紧致格式与WENO格式相结合构造成混合格式,利用光滑因子之间的关系对激波区域进行自动判断,将传统的全域求解的紧致格式划分为有限的局部紧致求解,间断点上的激波捕捉铜梁自动作为局部紧致求解的边界通量,在在光滑区域具有紧致格式的高精度低耗散性质,在激波附近不产生非物理振荡.本文利用有限紧致格式思想,构造了新的适合于气动声学问题的优化有限紧致格式,将其应用于计算气动声学一维标准测试问题,对相关格式的模拟性能进行了评估,显示该格式在宽频声波传播和含有间断的声波传播模拟方面具有优势.  相似文献

A comprehensive 2D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model was developed to simulate the flow behavior and catalytic dehydrogenation reaction of syngas in a heterogenous fixed-bed reactor (FBR). The model combined the porous medium CFD model with a reaction kinetics model. To acquire an accu- rate reaction kinetics model, a comprehensive reaction mechanism was studied for the heterogeneous catalytic dehydrogenation reaction ofsyngas over a supported metal catalyst. Based on the reaction mech- anism and a statistical test, a reliable kinetics model was proposed. The CFD model combined with the above kinetics model was validated with one set of experimental data. The CFD model was also used to predict key reaction variable distributions such as the temperature and the component concentrations in the reactor.  相似文献

阵风响应分析是大型民用飞机设计必不可少的工作. 利用操纵面的主动偏转实现机翼阵风减缓是未来民用飞行器的一个关键技术. 基于CFD/CSD耦合的气动弹性仿真方法,将阵风视为输入,翼根弯矩作为输出,通过系统辨识方法建立跨音速阵风响应的状态空间分析模型. 而后将副翼作动位移视为系统输入,建立副翼作动对应的机翼响应分析模型. 耦合上述2个模型,通过最优控制方法设计副翼偏转的控制律,实现跨音速机翼的阵风响应减缓. 通过设计状态观测器得到最优控制反馈所需的状态量. 通过数值算例验证了所设计的阵风减缓控制律的有效性,能将翼根弯矩减少60%~80%.   相似文献

采用经验证的计算流体力学方法,对某艏辅推调距导管桨设计螺距和系泊工况螺距的水动力性能进行了有效预报,并对系泊工况装船桨流激噪声进行了分析。系泊工况下,由于导管桨的抽吸作用在导管外壁近壁面区域存在与导管内部流动方向相反的逆向流动,且导管桨尾流场速度梯度分布不均匀、流动紊乱,此时桨叶与导管的推力之比约为1.2∶1。系泊工况船+桨的瞬态流场脉动信息表明,导管桨各部件噪声源强度均表现出从1倍到4倍叶频依次下降的规律,最强幅值集中在桨叶导边和导管内壁;在远场声源级频谱曲线中轴向测点线谱较高峰值位置体现出导管桨进流流场的流动特性。对比分析该艏辅推整体和各部件宽带声源级指向性,可知旋转部件(桨叶、桨榖)对总噪声级的贡献较大,静止部件是径向测点噪声的主要贡献源。  相似文献

Legacy codes remain a crucial element of today's simulation-based engineering ecosystem due to the extensive validation process and investment in such software. The rapid evolution of high-performance computing architectures necessitates the modernization of these codes. One approach to modernization is a complete overhaul of the code. However, this could require extensive investments, such as rewriting in modern languages, new data constructs, etc., which will necessitate systematic verification and validation to re-establish the credibility of the computational models. The current study advocates using a more incremental approach and is a culmination of several modernization efforts of the legacy code MFIX, which is an open-source computational fluid dynamics code that has evolved over several decades, widely used in multiphase flows and still being developed by the National Energy Technology Laboratory. Two different modernization approaches,‘bottom-up’ and ‘top-down’, are illustrated. Preliminary results show up to 8.5x improvement at the selected kernel level with the first approach, and up to 50% improvement in total simulated time with the latter were achieved for the demonstration cases and target HPC systems employed.  相似文献

Nowadays, high performance computing (HPC) systems experience a disruptive moment with a variety of novel architectures and frameworks, without any clarity of which one is going to prevail. In this context, the portability of codes across different architectures is of major importance. This paper presents a portable implementation model based on an algebraic operational approach for direct numerical simulation (DNS) and large eddy simulation (LES) of incompressible turbulent flows using unstructured hybrid meshes. The strategy proposed consists in representing the whole time-integration algorithm using only three basic algebraic operations: sparse matrix–vector product, a linear combination of vectors and dot product. The main idea is based on decomposing the nonlinear operators into a concatenation of two SpMV operations. This provides high modularity and portability. An exhaustive analysis of the proposed implementation for hybrid CPU/GPU supercomputers has been conducted with tests using up to 128 GPUs. The main objective consists in understanding the challenges of implementing CFD codes on new architectures.  相似文献

与传统水下滑翔机相比,混合驱动水下滑翔机可以分别利用头部的浮力驱动单元和机身尾部的螺旋桨推进单元进行驱动从而实现不同形式的运动,具备低功耗、长航程、良好机动性等特点,具有广泛的应用前景. 准确的动力学模型以及精确的水动力参数是实现混合驱动水下滑翔机控制系统设计以及精确导航的基础. 在混合驱动水下滑翔机动力学模型已知的前提下获得准确的水动力参数是本文主要研究的问题. 本文以天津大学研制的混合驱动水下滑翔机“海燕” 作为研究对象,提出一种在有限航行参数条件下,基于大数据统计分析的计算流体力学(computational fluid dynamics, CFD) 和参数辨识相结合来获取混合驱动水下滑翔机的水动力参数的方法. 即首先建立滑翔机的动力学模型,推导出稳态数据与所求水动力参数的关系;然后采用CFD 的方法得到其升力系数,根据大量稳态纯滑翔实验数据,结合大数据统计分析,辨识出其剩余水动力参数;最后,根据混合驱动模式下的实验数据辨识出与螺旋桨相关的参数,从而得到其整套的水动力参数. 该方法不仅结合了CFD 方法具有获取复杂外形结构航行水动力的特点,而且可以有效利用大量现场实验数据,因而能够更加准确地辨识其实际运动. 通过运动仿真与试验对比,验证了该辨识方法的正确性和有效性,对滑翔机的研究具有指导意义.   相似文献
