Corrigendum to: on the inheritance of the strongly π-extending property

In this corrigendum, we provide correct versions of Theorem 2.8 and Corollary 3.2, retract two consequences of the previous form of the Theorem 2.8. To this end, the main results of the article remain after the aforementioned changes.     

On Applications of Quasi-Monotone Sequences and Quasi Power Increasing Sequences

In this article, we prove a general theorem dealing with an application of quasi-f-power increasing sequences and δ-quasi monotone sequences. This theorem also includes some known and new results.     

Carlsson's rank conjecture and a conjecture on square-zero upper triangular matrices

Let k be an algebraically closed field and A the polynomial algebra in r variables with coefficients in k. In case the characteristic of k is 2, Carlsson [9] conjectured that for any DG-A-module M of dimension N as a free A-module, if the homology of M is nontrivial and finite dimensional as a k-vector space, then $2^r\le N$. Here we state a stronger conjecture about varieties of square-zero upper triangular $N\times N$ matrices with entries in A. Using stratifications of these varieties via Borel orbits, we show that the stronger conjecture holds when $N<8$ or $r<3$ without any restriction on the characteristic of k. As a consequence, we obtain a new proof for many of the known cases of Carlsson's conjecture and give new results when $N>4$ and $r=2$.     

A practical access to new pyrrolizine carboxylates via KHMDS-catalyzed carbocyclizations

Easy and effective preparation of new 1H-pyrrolizine carboxylates was achieved with high efficiency via KHMDS-induced carbocyclization of N-alkynyl proline carboxylates under substantially mild conditions. Meanwhile, some trans-diiodoallylic N-proline carboxylates were obtained from N-propargyl proline carboxylates using molecular I₂ with or without KHMDS. This method is quite feasible in terms of practical and quick access to the pyrrolizines and their derivatives over the formation of carbanions.     

Synthesis and application of near-infrared absorbing morpholino-containing aza-BODIPYs

Morpholino-containing aza-BODIPYs at 3,5-positions were synthesized. The maxima absorption and emission of these dyes locate at the near-infrared region. Aza-BODIPY 1 with the morpholino group as a pH-sensitive functionality could be used to be a pH probe, and the dramatic increase in fluorescence intensity at 675 nm by about 1500 folds. Moreover, the singlet oxygen generation of PS 2 with the dibromo groups at 2,6-positions was more effective than that of the parent dye 1.
