To study the effects of pre-adsorbed emulsifier on Pickering emulsion stability, the preparation of silicone oil emulsions by TiO2 suspensions pre-adsorbed sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) at the fixed TiO2 concentration of 0.15 g was carried out below a fiftieth of critical micelle concentration (cmc) of SDS, where all added amounts of SDS are adsorbed on the TiO2 particles. The stability of the Pickering emulsions incorporating TiO2 suspensions pre-adsorbed SDS was investigated by measuring the volume fraction of emulsified silicone oil, adsorbed amounts of TiO2 suspensions pre-adsorbed SDS, oil droplet size, and some rheological responses such as the stress-strain sweep curve and strain and frequency dependences of dynamic viscoelastic moduli. The silicone oil was almost emulsified by TiO2 suspensions pre-adsorbed SDS above cmc/103. Increasing in the adsorbed amount of SDS on the TiO2 particles leads to an increase in the adsorbed amounts of TiO2 suspensions pre-adsorbed SDS. Such silicone oil emulsions for the first time showed two yield stresses in the stress-strain sweep curve as well as the oscillatory stress-strain curve. The respective yield stresses also increase with an increase in the adsorbed amounts of TiO2 suspensions pre-adsorbed SDS. From such characteristic rheological properties and a partial sedimentation of some TiO2 particles remained in the dispersion medium, we proposed the formation of a three dimensional network of the flocculated TiO2 particles pre-adsorbed SDS on the silicone oil droplets. 相似文献

We examine the robustness of order in nematic elastomers under mechanical strains imposed along and perpendicularly to the
director when director rotation is prohibited. In contrast to electric and magnetic fields applied to conventional nematics,
mechanical fields are shown theoretically and experimentally to greatly affect the degree of nematic order and related quantities.
Unlike in liquid nematics, one can impose fields perpendicular to the director, thereby inducing biaxial order which should
be susceptible to experimental detection. Nematic elastomers with unchanging director and degree of order should theoretically
have the same elastic moduli for longitudinal and transverse extensions. This is violated when nematic order is permitted
to relax in response to strains. Near the transition we predict the longitudinal modulus to be smaller than the transverse
modulus; at lower temperatures the converse is true, with a crossover a few degrees below the transition. The differences
are ascribed to the different temperature dependence of the stiffness of uniaxial and biaxial order. We synthesised side chain
single-crystal nematic polymer networks, performed DSC, X-ray, birefringence, and thermo-mechanical characterisations, and
then obtained linear moduli from stress-strain measurements.

由于MnBi2Te4电子结构具有对晶格常数的改变相当敏感的特性,本文采用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理方法对MnBi2Te4反铁磁块体的电子结构施加等体积应变调控.研究发现体系能带结构在材料等体积拉伸和压缩作用下变化灵敏,体系出现绝缘体-金属相变.特别地,当施加特定应变后导带和价带在Γ处出现交叉,体系呈零带隙状态.在此应变下仍可观察到能带反转的现象,具有非平庸的能带拓扑性质.根据不同应变下的电荷密度图,发现等体积应变会影响体系七倍层层间距,其中等体积压缩和拉伸应变可分别增大和减小Te原子层间距,表明等体积压缩有利于降低反铁磁层间耦合.通过等体积压力应变调控,掌握了MnBi2Te4的电子结构的变化规律,这对本征磁性拓扑绝缘体MnBi2Te4的物性研究和实验制备具有重要的指导意义. 相似文献

Poly(4-methyl-1-pentene) (PMP) has been uniaxially compressed by a forging (equibiaxial) process. The rheology of the process has been examined for this semicrystalline polyolefin, melting point about 235°C. The yield energy, area under the compressive stress-strain curve up to the yield point, as a function of temperature was found to consist of two linear components of different slope. These two linear relations arise from the glassy and crystalline phases of PMP. The intercept temperature (Ti) at zero yield energy for the glassy phase has been evaluated. The attainable maximum compression ratio without sample rupture (CRmax) increased steadily on increasing forging temperature above Ti, and below Tm. In this range, the crystalline relaxation temperature (Tc), evaluated from an Arrhenius plot of yield stress was 160°C. Above Tc, a CRmax of 240 was reached. This value is five times higher than that attained for isotactic polypropylene (i-PP). However, the draw efficiency evaluated by elastic recovery in the plane direction of PMP (0.76) is lower than for i-PP (0.97). Differential scanning calorimetry analyses showed that the melting peak became a complex doublet on increasing compression ratio ( > 100). To verify the theoretical models of varying transversely isotropic stress-strain relations of dentin established in the preceding
work (Part I), we perform a set of experiments. Because of the very fine tooth size, it usually seems to be difficult to directly
measure the inhomogeneous and anisotropic parameters of dentin. In this paper, by the digital speckle correlation method,
tensile experiments are made on the small dentin samples either parallel or perpendicular to the dentin tubules. With the
theoretically predicted elastic stress-strain relations, an optimization method is proposed to fit the strain curve adapted
to the experimental data. The results show that the theoretical elastic stress-strain relations coincides very well with the
experimental observations. The determined Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio of dentin matrix are 29.5 GPa and 0.44, respectively,
in the optimization sense.
