Qualitative behavior of two systems of higher‐order difference equations

In this paper, we study the qualitative behavior of following two systems of higher‐order difference equations: and where the parameters α,β,γ,α₁,β₁,γ₁,a,b,c,a₁,b₁,andc₁ and the initial conditions x₀, x_?1, ?, x_?k, y₀, y_?1 ,?, y_?k are positive real numbers. More precisely, we study the equilibrium points, local asymptotic stability, instability, global asymptotic stability of equilibrium points, and rate of convergence of positive solutions that converges to the equilibrium point P₀=(0,0) of these systems. Some numerical examples are given to verify our theoretical results. These examples are experimental verification of our theoretical discussions. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Theoretical Studies on S-Phenyl-thiabenzene,S-Phenyl-thianaphthalene,and S-Phenyl-thiaanthracene

The molecular structures of S-phenyl-thiabenzene 1, S-phenyl-1-thianaphthalene 2, S-phenyl-2-thianaphthalene 3, and S-phenyl-9-thiaanthracene 4 are studied by ab initio calculations using HF as well as DFT methods at the 6–311+G? level of theory. The non-planar boat conformers of 1–4 with 6π electrons in the heterocyclic ring appear to be more stable than the corresponding planar conformers with 8π electrons in the ring. The activation energy for the inversion at the sulfur atom is compared for 1–4. Conformational flexibility of 1–4 is studied.     

混凝土中的声发射波速特性及其在源定位中的应用*

利用声发射技术监测受载混凝土裂缝发展特征的首要任务是对声发射源的准确定位。为了解混凝土中声发射波速特性,提高声发射源定位精度,该文开展了一系列室内试验,构建了考虑衰减现象的声发射波速修正模型,优化建立了基于修正波速的区域穷举定位法。结果表明:水灰比越小,基准波速越大,波速随距离的衰减越大。骨料粒径越大,基准波速越大,波速随距离的衰减越大。直线距离小于500 mm时,可采用对数函数描述声发射波速与距离的定量关系,以此构建的波速修正模型满足工程精度要求。采用修正波速的区域穷举定位法对单轴压缩试验产生的裂缝进行定位时,定位点比时差定位法更接近裂缝实际位置,有效提高了定位精度。     

有限群的特征标的零点和可解φ-群

有两个对偶的问题如下：问题Ⅰ：将满足下述条件的有限群G分类：G的特征标表中，除一行外其余各行最多有一个零．问题Ⅱ：将满足下述条件的有限群G分类：G的特征标表中，除一列外其余各列最多有一个零．在这篇文章中，我们对于有限可解群解答上述两个问题，并确定和这两个问题密切相关的一类有限可解群的结构（这类可解群在本文中称之为可解φ-群）．附带我们还完全回答了[4]中的问题1，并说明[6，定理]的条件可以极大地减弱．

Ramanujan-Slater type identities related to the moduli 18 and 24

We present several new families of Rogers-Ramanujan type identities related to the moduli 18 and 24. A few of the identities were found by either Ramanujan, Slater, or Dyson, but most are believed to be new. For one of these families, we discuss possible connections with Lie algebras. We also present two families of related false theta function identities.
