Experimental investigation on wake profile detection based on laser scattering by bubbles

The optical system for detecting wake profiles based on laser backscattering by bubbles at 180°is reported, in which the monostatic optical geometry is adopted and the power density estimation is used to process bubble scattering signal.The profiles of wakes produced by a two-blade propeller with a diameter of 46 mm at 6000 and 8000 rpm are measured using this system.It is shown that the wake region can be identified,the wake with different shapes can be distinguished,and the fine structure within wakes can be detected.Also,the repeatability of the results is tested experimentally.Results show the feasibility of this system in wake profile detection.     

High power pulse amplification of ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber amplifier

By solving a set of time-dependent equations,the characteristics of the ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber amplifier are presented.Besides the steady state in the fiber of the upper-state population,pump power and amplified spontaneous emission without the input signal,the dynamic characteristics of the high power Gaussian pulse amplification like the evolution of pulse waveform distortion,upper-state population distribution and stored energy and pulse energy of the amplifier under the forward and backward pump, are simulated.The relations between the output pulse energy of the amplifier and the different input pulse peak power or pump power are also discussed.The models and results can provide important guide for the design and optimization of the high power pulse amplification.     

三氯化氮气体喷射自发分解实验研究

 在气体流动管中对三氯化氮气体喷射自发分解的现象进行了初步实验研究。在一根长80 cm，直径4 cm的圆柱形石英玻璃管中，用喷嘴向气体流动管内喷射NCl₃/He混合气体，观察到了NCl₃喷射分解时的红色火焰。测量了火焰光谱并进行了归属，认为该光谱是Cl₂(B→X)辐射跃迁。NCl­₃的喷射自发分解本质上是激波诱导发生的，即分子的动能转化为分子内能而引起的，生成的Cl原子及NCl₂自由基与NCl₃分子反应，从而得到持续燃烧火焰。实验结果表明了NCl₃自发分解反应可代替放电或燃烧作为Cl原子的来源。     

小角X射线散射应用研究若干进展

文章从小角X射线散射（small-ande X-ray scattering，SAXS）的理论分析出发，结合国内外SAXS理论和应用研究的最新动态，总结了文章作者所在的研究小组近年来在SAXS技术用于材料微结构表征方面的研究成果。主要包括以下三个方面的内容：（1）有机／无机杂化材料中电子密度波动的研究；（2）弦长度分布函数材料的周期结构的研究；（3）纳米粉末晶化过程的研究。     

Single Mode Er-Doped π-Phase-Shifted Distributed Feedback Fibre Grating Laser

A novel method incorporating the shielded method and the post-processing method has been proposed to fabricate the π-phase-shifted fibre grating. Then an Er-doped π-phase-shifted distributed feedback fibre grating laser has been fabricated using the grating. The laser threshold is 20mW. When pumped with 90mW light at 980nm, the laser gives an output of 1.1mW. Its signal-to-noise ratio is better than 60dB. It is demonstrated that the laser is single mode operation by means of a Fabry--Perot scanning interferometer.     

N掺杂锐钛矿TiO2光学性能的第一性原理研究

用平面波赝势方法(PWP)计算了N掺杂锐钛矿型TiO2前后的光学特性,即介电函数虚部ε2(w),光学吸收系数I(w)和反射率R(w).并从能带结构上解释了为什么掺N后锐钛矿型TiO2的光学谱在2.93,3.56和3.97 eV处相对掺杂前会出现3个峰值的原因.从光谱图上分析得出,掺杂后TiO2要发生红移现象,实验现象证实了这一结果.
