Performance improvement of 10-Gb/s XGM wavelength conversion by using polarization control structure

By utilizing the cross polarization modulation effect in semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA), the extinction ratio of cross gain modulation (XGM) wavelength conversion was enhanced, the pattern effect was significantly reduced, and the power penalty of wavelength conversion was reduced by 5 dB simultaneously. Furthermore, by adjusting the settings of polarization controllers, both inverted and non-inverted wavelength conversion can be achieved right in the same wavelength converter.     

Amplitude Regenerative Characteristics of RZ-DPSK Wavelength Converter Based on Four-Wave Mixing in SOA

We investigate the phase-preserving amplitude regenerative characteristics of the return-to-zero （RZ） differential- phase-shift-keying （DPSK） wavelength conversion based on four-wave m/xing （FWM） in a semiconductor optical amplifier （SOA）. The Q-factor and the optical signal-to-noise ratio （OSNR） before and after conversion are experimentally obtained and analysed in different input noise power levels. In both the continuous-wave and synchronous clock pumping cases, we find that there is amplitude clamping in the FWM conversion due to the gain saturation of SOA, which can suppress the amplitude fluctuation of the converted DPSK signal before and after demodulation. We have achieved 2-dB Q penalty improvement in our experiment demonstration of lOGbit/s RZ-DPSK signal with OSNR lower than 19dB.     

Phase shift monitoring of delay-line interferometer and its application in phase-shift keying signal system

The relation between the phase shift and the mean optical power(MOP) output from a delay-line interferometer (DLI) port applied for phase-shift keying(PSK) signal demodulation is proven of a cosine law irrelevant to signal modulation condition.The variation amplitude of the MOP is proportional to the transition duration of the modulation pulses.This phenomenon is interpreted as the result of the statistical and waveform characteristics of the PSK.The conclusions verified by simulation and experiment are generalized to other modulation formats and then applied to phase detuning monitoring,delay time judgment of DLI,and independence of modulation data assessment.     

可重构的多波长光分插复用节点研究

设计并研制出了一种可灵活重构的多波长OADM,建立了OADM级联光信噪比的理论计算模型并进行了分析计算,给出了OADM的内部功率预算.最后对OADM设备进行了测试,所有性能指标都达到设计要求,目前已经通过工程验收,并正式在“中国高速信息示范网(CAINOnet)”中运行.     

Measurement of Root-Mean-Square Phase Errors in Arrayed Waveguide Gratings

The interference-based method to measure the root-mean-square phase errors in SiO2-based arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) is presented.The experimental results show that the rms phase error of the tested AWG is 0.72rad.     

改变作用区长度对高压H_2受激喇曼散射的影响

用高压氢作为工作物质,以YAG二倍频激光器为泵源,实现了高效率的受激喇曼散射。本文研究了作用区长度和光束聚焦对阀值和转换效率的影响,并对实验结果进行了初步分析。     

高压H_2受激喇曼散射的阈值与能量转换效率

我们着重研究了高压H_2气Q(1)振动跃迁(4155cm~(-1))受激喇曼散射(SRS)中,参与非线性相互作用的几个参数(介质分子密度、跃迁线宽、泵浦光子密度以及非线性作用长度)对受激阈值与能量转换效率的影响。给出了自零到24atm H_2气压范围内阈值随H_2气压变化的实验结果,它与根据Dicke-Doppler展宽和碰撞展宽的联合效应的分析是一致的。讨论了由于受激喇曼过程(SRP)和四波混频参量过程(FWPP)共同影响下能量转换效率、压力-色散效应对高阶反斯托克斯的能量输出的重要影响。     

高压H2的SRS中的参量与非参量过程

本文报道了在数十气压H₂中输出三级Stokes和六级anti-Stokes受激喇曼散射。着重研究了SRS能量转移中的受激喇曼过程(SRP)和四波参量过程(FWPP)。对前人报道得很少的高压H₂中的离轴Stokes圆环与轴上anti-Stokes圆斑进行了较系统的实验研究,并用非线性光学参量与非参量过程的有关理论对实验结果进行了讨论。 关键词：

本文研制了带有反馈稳定控制的全光纤可调光滤波器,并从理论上进行了推导和分析.实验结果与理论分析完全相符.最后,讨论了该器件的一些可能的应用.
