研究了强双折射光纤中沿偏振主轴入射的超短光脉冲压缩效应。当考虑三阶色散效应时,三阶色散与光纤非线相互作用能增强一偏振光脉冲的压缩而抑制另一偏振光脉冲的压缩。正三阶和的强慢孤子压缩,负三阶色散增强快孤子压缩,三阶色散参量越大,脉冲压缩效果越明显。  相似文献

The transition state between the continuous wave region and the mode-locked region in a passively mode-locked erbium-doped fibre ring laser has been experimentally observed by utilizing the nonlinear polarization rotation technique.When the pump power reaches the mode-locked threshold,the metastable pulse train with a tunable repetition rate is obtained in the transition from the continuous wave state to the passive mode-locked state via proper adjustment of the polarization controller.A simple model has been established to explain the experimental observation.  相似文献

本文实验研究了孤子脉冲在色散缓变光纤中传输时的动力学特性,发现孤子脉冲在色散缓变光纤中能被压缩.采用500米色散缓变光纤,成功将4.4ps的孤子脉冲压缩到830fs,脉冲压缩比为5.3.色散缓变光纤中孤子脉冲压缩的实验研究为超短光脉冲压缩提供了新的途径和方法.  相似文献

针对三阶色散对零色散波长附近光脉冲偏振复用技术的破坏作用,提出了使用色散平坦光纤来抑制三阶色散的影响。然而用色散平坦光纤只能在脉冲短距离传输时有效,故提出用正负三阶色散交替的光纤补偿三阶色散对光脉冲偏振复用技术的影响。研究发现该补偿方案能有效地抵消线路的总三阶色散,实现了偏振脉冲长距离稳定传输。  相似文献

Channel spacing halving and multi-channel apodisation of sampling fiber Bragg grating (SFBG) based on Moire effect are demonstrated, which are realized by stretching and double exposure in fabrication of the SFBG. The experiment and theoretical analysis showed that the channel spacing could be halved when the period of Moire grating was four times of the period of sampling and the initial phase difference of two exposures was even times of m. The multi-channel apodisation could be realized when the period of Moire fringe was twice the length of SFBG and the initial phase difference of two exposures was odd times of m. A novel method to control the initial phase difference of two exposures is presented in this paper. Using this technique, we fabricated two SFBGs with channel spacing of 50 and 100 G by a same phase mask and an apodized SFBG with channel spacing of 100 G.  相似文献

报道了色散缓变光纤中超短光脉冲压缩效应的实验结果。采用两段长度分别为100m和500m的色散缓变光纤,成功地将分布反馈激光器输出的4.4ps光脉冲压缩到1.1ps和830fs,脉冲压缩比分别为4.0和5.3。研究还发现,色散沿纵向变化较慢的光纤有利于脉冲的进一步压缩,理论分析与实验结果一致。  相似文献

As the typical material of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs), few-layered MoS_2 possesses broadband saturable absorption and a large nonlinear refractive index, which could be regarded as a promising candidate for dual-function photonic device fabrication. In this work, the coexistence of a bound soliton and harmonic mode-locking soliton was demonstrated in an ultrafast fiber laser based on a MoS_2-deposited microfiber photonic device. Through a band-pass filter, each multi-soliton state was investigated separately. The bound soliton has periodic spectral modulation of 1.55 nm with a corresponding pulse separation of 5.16 ps.The harmonic mode-locking soliton has the repetition rate of 479 MHz, corresponding to the 65th harmonic of the fundamental repetition rate. The results indicated that there exist more possibilities of different multi-soliton composites, which would enhance our understanding of multi-soliton dynamics.  相似文献

This paper reports the periodic power variation of the pulse-train in a passively mode-locked soliton fiber ring laser. It can obtain either the uniform or nonuniform pulse-train output by simply rotating the polarization controllers. The experimental results show that the pulse-train nonuniformity is caused by the interaction between the nonuniform polarization states of the soliton pulses and the passive polarizer in the cavity.  相似文献

对长周期光纤光栅和双锥形光纤之间的倏逝波耦合作用进行了研究。理论分析和实验研究表明,由于锥形光纤和长周期光纤光栅物理边界外倏逝波之间的交叠,长周期光纤光栅产生的包层模,可以耦合到锥形光纤的包层模并从锥形光纤的纤芯输出。要获得高的耦合效率,应满足模式匹配的条件,同时要尽量减小两光纤之间的距离。耦合特性还与长周期光栅和双锥形光纤的相对位置有关,为获得高的耦合效率,耦合区应位于长周期光栅区的后面。这种倏逝波耦合作用,为监测实际应用系统中长周期光纤光栅的特性提供了一种新方法;为利用锥形光纤和长周期光纤光栅开发新型光纤器件,提供了一种可能的方案。  相似文献
