Time variation of the electromagnetic transfer function of the earth estimated by using wavelet transform

In order to accurately estimate the geomagnetic transfer functions in the area of the volcano Mt. Iwate (IWT), we applied the interstation transfer function (ISTF) method to the three-component geomagnetic field data observed at Mt. Iwate station (IWT), using the Kakioka Magnetic Observatory, JMA (KAK) as remote reference station. Instead of the conventional Fourier transform, in which temporary transient noises badly degrade the accuracy of long term properties, continuous wavelet transform has been used. The accuracy of the results was as high as that of robust estimations of transfer functions obtained by the Fourier transform method. This would provide us with possibilities for routinely monitoring the transfer functions, without sophisticated statistical procedures, to detect changes in the underground electrical conductivity structure.     

Flow in a waterfall with large Froude number

An approximate method is developed to solve the full nonlinear equations governing two-dimensional irrotational flow in a free waterfall, falling under the influence of gravity, at high Froude number based on conditions far upstream. Schwarz—Christoffel transformation is used to map the region, in the complex potential-plane, onto the upper half-plane. The Hilbert transformation as well as the perturbation technique, for large Froude number, are used as a basis for the approximate solution of the problem. A complete solution, up to second-order approximation, for the downstream free-surfaces profiles, for different Froude number, is discussed and illustrated. The obtained approximate solutions are compared with those of other authors. Favourable agreement with other results suggests that this method is effective in dealing with flow problems strongly influenced by gravity and high Froude number. The results obtained by this method are sufficiently accurate for practical purposes.     

光学系统的等效变换

本文在普遍情况下使用矩阵方法详细讨论了光学系统的等效变换,证明光线变换矩阵为的光学系统当C≠0时可等效为一个薄透镜,当C=0时等效为一个薄透镜组。文中所得结果能用于分析光线或光束通过复杂光学系统的变换和多元件光腔的问题。     

一种构造正交小波基的新方法

本文给出了构造正交小波基的一种新的方法,主要是通过改造钟形函数来构造有具体表达式的小波母函数,在光滑性,局部性等性质上优于一般的构造方法,其收敛于零的阶数可达到O(|t|~(-N)),N≥4。而且更进一步在S空间上构造出收敛更快的小波母函数。     

STABLE DOUBLE LR ALGORITHM AND ITS ERROR ANALYSIS

In this paper, the normative matrices and their double LR transformation with origin shifts are defined, and the essential relationship between the double LR transformation of a normative matrix and the QR transformation of the related symmetric tridiagonal matrix is proved. We obtain a stable double LR algorithm for double LR transformation of normative matrices and give the error analysis of our algorithm. The operation number of the stable double LR algorithm for normative matrices is only four sevenths of the rational QR algorithm for reed symmetric tridiagonal matrices.

Study on Phase-Formation Mechanism and Intergrowth for Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O System

In this paper, the phase-formation mechanism of Bi-based superconductors was systematically investigated by using high-temperature X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis (DTA) and crystallization of amorphous state. The transformations among Bi-based 2201, 2212 and 2223 phases were observed, and the intergrown phenomenon of the 2201, 2212 and 2223 phases was explained. It was proposed that there exist a composition equilibrium between 2212 phase and Ca2CuO3 and a competition of thermody-namic stability among Ca2CuO3, 2212 and 2223 phases. This is why it is difficult to prepare the 2223 phase. After Pb was doped in Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system, Ca2CuO3 phase in the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system was replaced by Ca2PbO4, so that the composition equilibrium and competition of thermodynamic stability mentioned above were avoided.

地球物理正问题计算的小波方法

本将小波分析方法用于一类奇异积分方程的计算，建立了小波展开的非标准形式与标准形式转换关系，根据Mallat小波快速算法，设计了此类积分的计算算法，并通过实际例子验证了方法的有效性，计算具有速度快，运算量少的特点。     

一种基于预测分类的小波图像编码

对于小波较像编码，如何有效地组织小波域系数是提高图像压缩效果的关键。本文在研究小波域系数统计特性的基础上，提出一种用于图像压缩的预测分类模式，与基于零树结构的编码不同的是它充分利用了小波域中“重要”系数的各种相关性，并通过结合提出的种子膨胀算法实现系数的分类输出，实验结果表明该方法所取得的压缩效果要优于基于零树结构的图像编码，同时又具有较强的鲁棒性。
