A Free-Lagrange numerical procedure for the simulation of two-dimensional inviscid compressible flow is described in detail. The unsteady Euler equations are solved on an unstructured Lagrangian grid based on a density-weighted Voronoi mesh. The flow solver is of the Godunov type, utilising either the HLLE (2 wave) approximate Riemann solver or the more recent HLLC (3 wave) variant, each adapted to the Lagrangian frame. Within each mesh cell, conserved properties are treated as piece-wise linear, and a slope limiter of the MUSCL type is used to give non-oscillatory behaviour with nominal second order accuracy in space. The solver is first order accurate in time. Modifications to the slope limiter to minimise grid and coordinate dependent effects are described. The performances of the HLLE and HLLC solvers are compared for two test problems; a one-dimensional shock tube and a two-dimensional blast wave confined within a rigid cylinder. The blast wave is initiated by impulsive heating of a gas column whose centreline is parallel to, and one half of the cylinder radius from, the axis of the cylinder. For the shock tube problem, both solvers predict shock and expansion waves in good agreement with theory. For the HLLE solver, contact resolution is poor, especially in the blast wave problem. 导出了三维扰动波的原始变量形式的抛物化稳定性方程(PSE),研究了三维空间模态TS波的非平行边界层稳定性问题.采用了法向四阶紧致格式,以提高计算精度.通过给出不会导致奇性的坐标变换、修改外边界条件以及克服平行流初始值的瞬态影响和推进步长的限制,保证了计算的数值稳定.用补全元素带状矩阵法求解块三对角矩阵,大大提高了速度.计算结果清楚地显示了三维扰动波的演化过程和非平行性对边界层稳定性的影响,特别是,观察到非平行性对三维扰动波的影响,有时会使其稳定性出现逆转的现象.还研究了逆压梯度的作用.算例的结果与其他结果符合良好.  相似文献

In this article, a high‐order finite difference scheme for a kind of nonlinear fractional Klein–Gordon equation is derived. The time fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. The solvability of the difference system is discussed by the Leray–Schauder fixed point theorem, while the stability and L convergence of the finite difference scheme are proved by the energy method. A high‐order finite difference method for the two‐dimensional complex Ginzburg–Landau equation is considered. It is proved that the proposed difference scheme is uniquely solvable and unconditionally convergent. The convergent order in maximum norm is two in temporal direction and four in spatial direction. We present a fourth‐order Hermitian box‐scheme (HB‐scheme) for the Poisson problem in a cube. A single‐nonstaggered regular grid is used supporting the discrete unknowns u and . The scheme is fourth‐order accurate for u and in norm. The fast numerical resolution uses a matrix capacitance method, resulting in a computational complexity of . Numerical results are reported on several examples including nonseparable problems. In this article, we consider finite difference schemes for two dimensional time fractional diffusion‐wave equations on an annular domain. The problem is formulated in polar coordinates and, therefore, has variable coefficients. A compact alternating direction implicit scheme with accuracy order is derived, where τ, h1, h2 are the temporal and spatial step sizes, respectively. The stability and convergence of the proposed scheme are studied using its matrix form by the energy method. In this article, multilevel augmentation method (MAM) for solving the Burgers' equation is developed. The Crank–Nicolson–Galerkin scheme of the Burgers' equation results in nonlinear algebraic systems at each time step, the computational cost for solving these nonlinear systems is huge. The MAM allows us to solve the nonlinear system at a fixed initial lower level and then compensate the error by solving a linear system at the higher level. We prove that the method has the same optimal convergence order as the projection method, while reducing the computational complexity greatly. Finally, numerical experiments are presented to confirm the theoretical analysis and illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, we propose a Fourier pseudospectral method for solving the generalized improved Boussinesq equation. We prove the convergence of the semi‐discrete scheme in the energy space. For various power nonlinearities, we consider three test problems concerning the propagation of a single solitary wave, the interaction of two solitary waves and a solution that blows up in finite time. We compare our numerical results with those given in the literature in terms of numerical accuracy. The numerical comparisons show that the Fourier pseudospectral method provides highly accurate results. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We develop a loosely coupled fluid‐structure interaction finite element solver based on the Lie operator splitting scheme. The scheme is applied to the interaction between an incompressible, viscous, Newtonian fluid, and a multilayered structure, which consists of a thin elastic layer and a thick poroelastic material. The thin layer is modeled using the linearly elastic Koiter membrane model, while the thick poroelastic layer is modeled as a Biot system. We prove a conditional stability of the scheme and derive error estimates. Theoretical results are supported with numerical examples. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
