一年以前 ,人们惊奇地发现 :在相当弱的磁场中 ,并不太强的微波辐照就可以使二维半导体的磁阻产生强烈的振荡 ,振幅的最大值可超过无辐照磁阻值的十几倍 ,最小值可以一直降到零 .全世界众多的凝聚态物理学家争相聚焦到这个领域 ,进行了许多实验和理论研究 ,企图弄清这一意外发现的机理 .经过一年多的努力 ,人们已经掌握了这个现象更多的细节 ,对其物理机制也有了初步了解 .但深入的实验和理论探索可能还要继续相当一段时间 .文章将对这个物理现象及相关的理论模型 ,尤其是目前得到较多赞同的光子辅助磁输运模型 ,作一简单的介绍 .  相似文献

The effect of simultaneous substitution of a fluctuating cation and a divalent cation in LaMnO3 perovskite modifies the properties of the material to exhibit large valence colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect. A good example of these properties is (La1−2x Pr x Ca x )MnO3 (LPCMO) type CMR material. In this communication it is reported that, with the increase in x (for x=0.1, 0.15, 0.2), the T c varies between 100 and 120 K with improvisation in metal-insulator transition. Interestingly, resistance increases with x from few hundred ohms to few kilo ohms with corresponding decrease in the unit cell volume. The results of the studies using X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance and ac susceptibility measurements on LPCMO samples for understanding the structural, transport and magnetic properties are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The magnetoconductivity tensors of a metal with a weakly anisotropic Fermi surface are determined from analytic solutions to the Boltzmann equation without any restrictions on the magnitude of the cyclotron frequency compared to the collision rate. Results are given for both a two- and a three-dimensional model, the former being analytically simpler to handle. The Hall coefficient and magnetoresistance are obtained as functions of the magnetic field, and we show by explicit calculation how the thermoelectric coefficients at high magnetic fields are determined by the thermodynamic entropy.  相似文献

通过对La0.8Sr0.2Mn1-yCoyO3(y≤02)饱和磁矩和输运的测量,研究了Co对La0.8Sr0.2MnO3的磁电阻影响机制.结果表明,在La0.8Sr0.2Mn1-yCoyO3y≤02)中Co3+离子是低自旋态.由于Mn3+—O—Co3+—O—Mn3+类型的磁交换与Mn3+-Mn4+离子间双交换作用相比较弱,Curie温度TC附近的磁电阻随着Co掺杂量的增加而降低.与此相反,由于Co2+离子与eg巡游电子的反铁磁交换耦合作用,低温区间的磁电阻随着Co掺杂量的增加而升高.  相似文献

The magneto-transport properties are investigated in metamagnetic CoMnSi0.88Ge0.12 alloy.By applying a magnetic field or increasing temperature,a metamagnetic phase transition from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic is observed in this alloy.Around the metamagnetic phase transition,CoMnSi0.88Ge0.12 alloy exhibits a large and negative magnetoresistance effect(~32%) under a magnetic field of 20 kOe(1 Oe = 79.5775 A/m),which is ascribed to the spin-dependent scattering of conduction electrons.  相似文献

We present a study of the structural and electrical behavior of nano-polycrystalline mixed barium and alkali substituted lanthanum-based manganite, (La1−yKy)0.7Ba0.3MnO3 with y=0.0-0.3. The samples were synthesized by the polymerization complex sol-gel method. The powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) data of the samples show a single-phase character with space group. The magnetic and electrical transport properties of the nano-polycrystalline samples have been investigated in the temperature range 50-300 K and a magnetic field up to 10 kOe. The metal-insulator transition temperature Tp of all the samples decreased with potassium doping, and also, it increased slightly with the application of magnetic field. The low field magnetoresistance, which is absent in the single-crystalline perovskite, was observed and increased with decreasing temperature. Comparing the experimental resistivity data with the theoretical models shows that the high temperature electrical behavior of these samples is in accordance with the adiabatic small polaron-hopping model. In the metal-ferromagnetic region the resistivity is found to be quite well described by ρ=ρ0+ρ2T2+ρ4.5T4.5.  相似文献

We report on extensive experimental investigations of a single crystal of the orthorhombic uranium compound UCoGe. Bulk measurements on as-grown and annealed single crystals, recording magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, magnetoresistivity, thermopower, thermal conductivity and heat capacity data do not reproduce the previously reported coexistence of ferromagnetism with superconductivity. The latter phenomenon was only observed for the annealed sample at T SC = 0.65 K. New observations show a crossover at around 13 K, visible in thermal and transport measurements as well as the coherent state around 50 K, signaled by a wide knee in ρ(T). Above this temperature, UCoGe exhibits a single-ion Kondo-like effect. The magnetoresistivity of the annealed single crystal increases negatively down to 4.2 K, reaching as a large value about ?27% at a field of 8 T. The latter may be interpreted in terms of fairly strong magnetic fluctuations existing in UCoGe at low temperatures.  相似文献

Structural, electrical and magnetic measurements, as well as electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra, were used to characterise the single-crystalline CuCr1.6V0.4Se4 spinel and study the correlation between the negative magnetoresistance effect and magnon excitations. We established the ferromagnetic order below the Curie temperature T C ≈ 193 K, a p-type semiconducting behaviour, the ESR change from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic resonance at T C, a large ESR linewidth value and its temperature dependence in the paramagnetic region. Electrical studies revealed negative magnetoresistance, which can be enhanced with increasing magnetic field and decreasing temperature, while a detailed thermopower analysis showed magnon excitations at low temperatures. Spin–phonon coupling is explained within the framework of a complex model of paramagnetic relaxation processes as a several-stage relaxation process in which the V3+ ions, the exchange subsystem and conduction electron subsystem act as the intermediate reservoirs.  相似文献

Epitaxial La2/3Cal/3MnO3 thin films grown on LaA103 (001) substrates were irradiated with low-energy 120-keV H+ ions over doses ranging from 1012 ions/cm2 to 1017 ions/cm2. The irradiation suppresses the intrinsic insulator-metal (I-M) transition temperature and increases the resistance by reducing the crystallographic symmetry of the films. No irradiation-induced columnar defects were observed in any of the samples. The specific film irradiated at a critical dose around 8 x 1015 ions/cm2 is in a threshold state of the electric insulator where the I-M transition is absent. In an external field of 4 T or higher, the I-M transition is restored and thus an enormous magnetoresistance is observed, while a negative temperature coefficient resumes as the temperature is reduced further. Magnetic relaxation behavior is confirmed in this and other heavily irradiated samples. The results are interpreted in terms of the displacement of oxygen atoms provoked by ion irradiation and the resulting magnetic glassy state, which can be driven into a phase coexistence of metallic ferromagnetic droplets and the insulating glass matrix in a magnetic field.  相似文献
